***** PPMD crushes m2k in Marth dittos, but loses to players that m2k beats with Marth that play Fox. Long story short, Dr. Peepee is better in Marth dittos than m2k, and m2k is better in every other matchup.

For me PP's marth is more entertaining than his Falco.

I would agree, but his falco was off this tournament and his Marth was so absurdly on point that it's a bad comparison. But watch his falco in sets like King of Cali and Pound V over Mang0 and Armada respectively. His falco is a beast when its on.

Ppmd just one step ahead each time with the marth ditto.

I used to think M2k had the best Marth but PPMD's neutral game is on another level

when the falco player switched to marth I turned off this match, what a fucking load of garbage. He couldn't win with one character so he just sees what the other guy is doing and then does the shame shit. My local scene has a firmly enforced ban on mirror matches in all smash games, its way too fucking easy to just copy your opponent, and then the person who wins is just the one who does the cheapest shit. These guys don't even use marths counter lol, its an invincible move that does a fuckload of damage. Both of them need to go back to the strategy guide.

FYI, marth's counter in melee always does 6 or 7 damage, no matter what kind of attack he counters. And the knock back is always the same distance too.

I think ppu actually went for a grab just a bit later than pp, and pp ended up kind of grabing ppu's grab. And marth's grab just has ridiculous range.

+toot1231 PPU did a jab just after the dtilt (it happens very fast, but you can see and clearly hear the sound of it) which moves Marth's hurtbox a lot forward. In fact the grab wasn't even at max limit, and it's not that strange if you look frame by frame.

It's called a platform cancel, not to be confused with an edge cancel. Basically, you do an aerial as you go through the platform (either running off the side or going down through it) and the aerial puts you back on it. It's usually not intentional, because it's VERY hard to do purposely. If you notice PP didn't L Cancel the Bair. Generally, more horizontal leg moves tend to do this mechanic.

He's had a marth for a few years, he brought it out every once in a while the past 2 or 3 years. But he hasn't used it consistently and only in difficult matchups like vs Armada's Peach.

Tom Tucker Melee has a lot of nuances the other games don't. If you think understanding Brawl and Smash 4 means you understand Melee, you don't get Smash. :^)

Tom Tucker Brawl is actually pretty complicated. Not as complicated as Melee, but it's not that Melee is Brawl + more stuff. Brawl and Melee are both complicated for different reasons, so understanding one doesn't mean you understand the other. Melee is still more complicated though.

It's more technical, has better combo mechanics, and is generally faster than the others. That's not to say the other games can't be played competitively, or even that not having these traits makes the other games worse in general--it's just that these traits are more conducive to intricate competitive play.

Melees gameplay expands your possibilities if you are capeable. and if you are capeable of doing more but the game limits you, brawl and sm4sh, you would want to stick to melee for a faster and button smashing experience

well in my opinion, although melee is more "technical" and "combos easier", I'd say the big thing is that the tech skill involved gives players a ton of freedom. Freedom to move especially, which leads to a faster paced neutral game and cooler combos and such.

ppmd is amazing, my fave god for sure

I might be the only person who doesn't enjoy PP's Marth. I dunno, it's so textbook that I don't find it fun to watch. His movement is amazing but I prefer his Falco since it's rarer to see Falcos with such good dash dances and punishes.
