I remember back in the 70's in Oakland Calif where I grew up, people used to call someone "woke" if they understood how bigotry (in all of it's various forms) is used to divide and conquer The People. The Capitalists will do anything to keep us all from standing in solidarity, because if we did that, we'd realize we have exactly zero need for the wealthy elite who use bigotry6 to keep us all fighting each other. @@MajorHenryL. I realize you're being deliberately facetious, but guns can be purchased and taken across state lines extremely easily in the United States; no state or municipality exists in a vacuum here, and there are no hard borders at any state lines. That said, there is literally no reason we should not make it easier to record and track gun ownership, have universal background checks at the point of purchase (and wait times between the purchase and delivery of firearms), and overall make the stockpiling of arms and ammunition designed solely for taking the lives of other human beings more difficult and subject to scrutiny. A federal gun buyback program and, as mentioned in the video, treating the "epidemic" of gun violence as a public health and welfare issue rather than an issue of criminality would both go far in mitigating further loss of life in our country at large. There absolutely are things we can do to remedy this crisis, but we just have one party, bought and paid for by the gun lobby, standing in the way of progress at any and every turn.

I love being spoken to as an adult by someone who speaks and thinks like an adult.
Seems like such an impactful program for the GSW victims. I wish we had this at my local hospital.

poverty and ignorance.. violence is an ignorant mans first and best idea.. poverty pushes that idea in the person who needs... let us teach our loved ones out of their ignorance.. let us show them better paths for all of us.. let us be wise and walk a hundred miles with our weakest minds and most hurting people.. let us walk a hundred and a thousand more with them who need us to be strong when they are weak. to carry them when they cant walk.. let us meat them where they are and be the LOVE they need...

I absolutely respect admire and love her 🌺 she’s brilliant and puts the WE back in “ We the People “ 🕊️
She really is so impressive, well informed, and well spoken! Took me a while to warm up to her I think because she got such bad press at her start. Everything I have heard her speak on once I started to seek out more information on her is spot on. Such a relief to hear an elected official who gets it and can speak honestly.
She is amazing!
Thank you Jordan for this eye opening interview! I had no idea about this program AOC is involved in. This program definitely needed. Wish it had been longer.
I find her to be smart, serious, and delightful. She's the best!
AOC and Katie Porter give me hope.
AOC is smart, well intentioned and poised to have a long, effective political career that will benefit this country. The contrast between her and the nut jobs like MTG and Bobert is staggering. AOC gives me hope.

AOC is so naturally lovely - inside and out.
She's brilliant!
Gems from start to the finish. Innovative violence reduction methods, substantive critiques of Mayor Adams, defends Beyonce's name, crushes Trump & Thomas, NYC love for treating Trump like a Florida man, & sends a rallying message for women. Eloquent, charismatic, authentic - total package. And then, she ends with this casual closing statement - "You hurt 1 person, you get 10 years in prison, but if you hurt millions of people - you get your name on a building". Iconic.

slow down girl.. i learned in presidenat Obama a fast rising star is quenched in the oval office.. her goal is the betterment of America... if you send her too soon to the oval office.. her contribution will be cut short.. when she has so much more.. pray she will stay for us.. right where she is.. the presidential office will be a retirement move.. I hope she doesnt choose to retire too soon. my president Obama has so much more to give.. to aid us in... yet he cant after his presidency.. i dont know why that is.. but it is.. if she stays where she is long enough. she can build more like her.. and pull them in. she can give so much more not being president anytime soon.. but yeah.. one day.. when we have fixed all this wrong in america; i hope to see her as president.
