So true this video- We moved here from So CA last March 2022. We have an AWD vehicle. Just fine. (SNOW TIRES A MUST!!) We were ok buying a home for a crazy over the top prince and the bottom has now fallen out. But folks need to be aware of that happening Native Coloradans do not like folks from CA or Texas especially. Which was hard one for us. We actually had people tell us they hated people coming from where we had just moved from. Luckily, the town we chose (lower Denver) neighbors we have, have been a blessing to us. Yes, it is is butt ass cold as this season of Christmas rolls around. The views are amazing everyday. After a day on the road, driving home is a treat. So as of now, we arrived at the worst time March 5, 2022 Bought our home at the worst time for buyers May 2022 And we love this beautiful state everyday. Thank y’all for still having some room for us. ✌️☮️

I think you're pretty on point with the tech companies moving in rising prices, that plus CO always having been a tourist state factor. As a Gemini who's been contemplating changing homesteads from TX to CO I appreciate your videos. Also your Subaru is all wheel drive, I noticed you have the same window guards as I do on my Forester, which is the same color as well, lol, probably twin cars. Anyways, great content.

Your husband is totally wrong but sadly many not living here share. Our winters are actually very mild. Listen to what Geneveive says about this. It does get cold at night but in the day our temperatures are very mild. Also, we have a saying here which is "new snow never falls on old" meaning that our snow melts fast in our very abundant sunny days. So come here and check it out.

Love your CO videos! I used to want to move there, but now I have the insight of traveling there for a month. I really loved the mountains and the people who were grounded and real, but it is a weird warped social and economic reality there. A lot of fake people pretending to be something they are not, fueled by big bank accounts and instagram fantasies. 🤔 And, too many people happily addicted to pot like it is normal and natural. It seems so few people actually have roots in their communities…so many young transplants, old hippies who moved there when they were young hippies, out-of-state retirees, tourists, college students, etc. Where’s the soul? Call me a cynic.

Weather is why I think about moving to Colorado. And the views. I just want to sit in the snow and stare at a lake or a mountain or both at the same time. I could handle working during the day where the jobs are knowing that in X amount of hours I could be 10 degrees colder weather. In Boston I don't have that option. I use studded snow tires. They are awesome. 🤣🤣🤣Montana, Wyoming and Utah are so RED you can see it from space. That might be a reason people move to CO instead.

Thank you for this wealth of information! My fiance and I will be moving out to Denver from Orlando, FL by 2023 and I am, low-key, freaking out about the prospect of change (I'm a Taurus, lover of anything within my comfort zone). I'm not too worried about the community aspect since we have a number of friends who have been asked to relocate to Denver as well, but there is a significant difference in living costs that I need to get mentally prepared for.--And of course, the difference in weather.

Colorado is expensive because it possesses a "chic" vibe -- especially Boulder, Colorado. But you know that, right? I don't know a native Boulderite who isn't aware that "chic-ness" if I can use that word. It's in the DNA. And many are willing to pay for that "chic-ness" even if it's barely within their reach. There are many other reasons, like you expressed. As a member of that barely 1% African-American presence in Boulder for so many years (I got my Education Certification & law degree at CU-Boulder), I know very well the experiences you have expressed regarding Boulder in particular, and Colorado in general. I've been in Pittsburgh, PA the last five years, so it's been interesting viewing my chosen home state (I was actually a native New Yorker who migrated from NYC to attend Law School & Graduate clases there) from a temporary distance. I lived so many years in that "Colorado chic" culture that I find it hard to escape even being away now five years. I still have connections there. What I have discovered, being Sagittarius and having travelled a good part of the world, and lived in many places, nothing quite takes the Colorado out of the real Coloradoan -- or Boulderite. They will move to places that gets them as close as possible to the "Boulder feel"; because it is who they are -- even if they are just 1% of the population. Geez, I don't even know what I'm saying! It's too deep. LOL~!

I wanted to move to Colorado for years but I can't now. If I move to a state without a face covering law in place I would feel negligence for harming my kids. I have them trained very well and they all have pockets full of masks incase they are approached by a "anti" as we like to call them. We would all have panic attacks if we saw a bunch of maskless people in public.
