Ann And Rog Reunion 10.16.2021

Ann invited me to join her in playing one of Heart's greatest songs, Mistral Wind at the Neptune Theater in Seattle. What a precious night! But what was really special was the rehearsal, a few days earlier. Great conversation, warm, friendly, uplifting. Healing took place. And a weight fell away!

I was there, in the front row with my teenage daughter, who was just as excited about this as I was. There are no words to describe how awesome this was to witness! I was the one who was completely star-struck when we ran into you in the hotel lobby afterward. All that came out was, “Roger Fisher! You rock!” Thank you for sharing this behind the scenes view. Loved EVERY SECOND!

This performance is absolute proof that a reunion show (perhaps not necessarily a whole tour) and/or a new album can and should happen sooner than later. The band is looking for ways to celebrate Heart's 50th anniversary in 2023 and a reunion of the original 6 members is the best way for the band to celebrate their friendships, music, and their fans. Every one of them still has the ability to do their stuff. They all still have their musical chops. Steve Fossen and Mike Derosier have been practising Heart songs for years with their "Heart By Heart" cover band. Howard Leese is still going strong with Bad Company and his other projects. There really is no excuse not to make this happen. The only thing that will ultimately stop them is their age. Please do not let age become the deciding factor.

If freakin Roger Waters and David Gilmour can put aside their massive differences for a night every once in a great while, You would THINK Nancy could do the same for just a moment

I remember being 12 yrs old, lying on my bed listening to this album and falling asleep. When this song blew out of my speakers, I woke up like "whaaa . . ", started it over and fell in love. I already loved all the other rockers that Heart had, but this was different. Such an underrated song. I'd probably cry seeing Ann & Roger performing together live.

Said this on Ann's channel as well. Getting all 6 of the original members back together is probably not going to happen for the long awaited reunion tour, but this performance proves that Ann and Roger can still work together. Just have Ann and Roger do a entire set reunion tour, it would be huge for fans. If any of the others want to join in, let them. But Ann and Roger would be huge. It would guarantee more ticket sales than either one of them separately could generate.

Glad to see them starting to mend fences. I have loved Heart since 1975 and I was SOO hurt when Ann & Nancy kicked the original band off the stage during the Hall of Fame ceremony to play "Barracuda" with a bunch of session musicians. I was disappointed they couldn't put their egos aside for that evening and allow the fans to enjoy a true Heart reunion. Hopefully Ann & Roger performing together is a harbinger of good things to come.

THAT is the best band Ann has had behind her in decades. Roger and the excellent Tom Bukovac pairing on guitars is about as good as it gets. And so great to see Roger moving about the stage and inspiring the other players. As proved at the R&R HoF performance, Ann might be the voice, but when it comes to onstage visual and musical dynamics, Roger Fisher was and remains the spark.

This Reunion is so great! I’m so happy to see that they finally buried the animosity from 40 years ago. It’s was a misunderstanding anyway. That’s a long time to hold a grudge. The story I heard was that when Roger heard something about Nancy not being faithful to him one night on stage he stormed off the stage angry. Then he threw his guitar 🎸 at the wall violently. And it just missed Nancy so Ann was very angry at him for doing that. So then he was kicked out of the band along with Michael Deroiser the drummer. And that was the end of the original Heart lineup. Ann and Nancy carried on with Howard and the music changed as well as a result. I always liked the early Heart songs the best. They had the hard rock and acoustic sounds of Led Zeppelin but in their own style. Now it appears that Ann has forgiven Roger and that’s all for the better. Now they can relax. Forgive and forget is the best way to go. Maybe you can’t forget but it’s good if you can forgive. At least they can be friends again. 👏🏻🎸😎

@@dynjarren8355 Ok, its all pretty weird. And made me think a lot about their history. Its evident that management(?)from the start put the sisters in front and thus creating a false image though very appealling. But from what I understand the chemistry within the band was WE ARE A BAND.

Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad said that a band trying to perform classic material absent their original members is just a tribute band. It can't be done. This is living proof that no matter how good any substitute musician might be, the performance will always be lacking without the original people that created it in the first place. Time is ticking away. Come on Nancy, get with the program. Ann, Roger, Steve, Howard, and Michael are all there.

Few understand how your guitar sounds are so essential to these early Heart songs. Many get close covering the songs, but it's your soul coming through that makes it real. It comes out in spades here, and you can tell Ann is grooving on it! Is there any decent audio/video recording of Mistral from 1978/79, like your clips from the Little Queen tour?

Roger, how could such a nice guy like yourself play with a woman who allowed he boyfriend be with Nancy’s child which caused the sisters to break up? I’m baffled Rog. I loved the original lineup after the first album back in 1976. I did an entire tribute playing all instruments myself and could never find a singer to finish all those songs since 2014. But at least I have the music mixed in case I ever find a singer.

You guys couldn't touch Barracuda or anything. Why that? Without Nancy? What sacrilege... Having said that. I'm glad you looked for the girls. But, it's easier for Ann, she wasn't involved with you. For Nancy, I think that relationship really hurt her, so it will be harder for her, and I totally understand her. I think it was her first serious relationship and those things mark a girl. I don't even think it's resentment or anything, I think it's pain and regret. Ah, And let's not forget Derosier, that didn't end well either... I think Ann is the one who could convince her of anything. Howard could help, I think Nancy trusts him.
