Mark Hamill, John DiMaggio, Jeff Bennett, Alan Tudyk, Troy Baker, Kevin Micheal Richardson, Christopher Corey Smith, Richard Epcar and Zach Galifanakis all do a fantastic job portraying the Joker.... but Mark Hamil will forever be the definitive voice of the Joker. Mark Hamil is to Joker what Kevin Conroy was to Batman, RIP Kevin, the world is a slightly darker place without you.

I'm pretty sure he has now. I'm pretty sure the last time he did it was Arkham Knight in 2015. I think he came out of retirement for the killing joke. In 2016 and then there was a Lego Batman in 2018 where he was joker but he hasn't done joker since 2018.

Unfortunately he definitely won't be reprising his role now that Kevin Conroy has passed away. It really is tragic that on top of losing Kevin we've lost 2 of the best comic book voice portrayals of all time

Christopher Corey Smith feels more nostalgic to me because of his work in LEGO Batman 2 just like Troy Baker with Batman but Mark Hamill no doubt takes the cake. While on the topic of LEGO Batman 2 I love hearing Troy Baker, Scott Menville and Travis Willingham together when playing Batman, Robin and Superman. Travis returned for LEGO DC Super-Villains but I kinda wish that they got Troy, Scott and Christopher too though I'm still happy with Kevin (Conroy) and Mark (Hamill).

I'm so impressed by Michael Dobson voice as the Joker

Anthony Ingruber gave an incredible performance! He should have more opportunities to voice the Joker, very underrated.

Sleeping on Kevin Michael heavy he's the closet to Hamill's joker than Baker

Mark Hamill and Brent Spiner are my picks

My favorite Joker interpretations are Hamill/Baker, Richardson, Bennett, Ingruber, and Tudyk. Dobson(B/W) and Galifianakis(Lego) also did a fantastic job considering the characters given in the plot.

Mark Hamill's performance is so effortless and perfectly played. His art and the writing of the animated series really brought such a rich depth to the character brought him to life. All the other performances are good in their own right, but none of them come close to what Mark achieved. It's sad the the best ones are the ones that sound the closest to Mark's take on the Joker, and that there hasn't really been a version of the character that did something new with the same level of skill. Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger's jokers were great, and on the level as mark, but I consider that a different arena as those are live action. Jack Nicholson's version is technically classic, but the Tim Burton movies were too campy and messy to be considered anything more than a nostalgic fun romp, not the level of refined performance from Mark, Joaquin, and Heath. Losing Mark's Joker and Kevin's Batman are a true death to an era, and we are all lucky to have such great performances. It will be interesting to see the next great era of the characters, if that can ever happen.

I strongly agree. Sadly, we won't be hearing Mark Hamill anymore since he recently stated that he's retiring from voicing Joker indefinitely due to Conroy's passing. Many people would want him to voice Joker again, but we have to respect his decision to retire the character and let other actors take the mantle. While it's sad that we won't hear him again, we can appreciate and thank him and Kevin for shaping up our childhood memories. Without Batman, crime has no punchline

Kevin Michael did put a spin on that new version of joker but still Mark still puts the edge on it

Alan Tudyk is honestly underrated and frankly I would love to see him play the joker more often

john dimaggio is fitting for a heavyweight joker cus he sound so big

It's interesting how after Hamill basically ever version mimics his or at least gives a performance that's similar to his, with the exception John DiMaggio, Anthony Ingruber, and all the theatrical Jokers. It really is strange how the way his voice usually sounds now is completely ignored in live-action.

Actually Anthony Ingrubers version is a combination of Mark, Heath and Nicholson. Troy's version in Arkham Origins was meant to just be a younger version of Marks. Otherwise Mark did create the definitive Joker. Cameron Monaghan also looked at Mark for inspiration

I like to think they know that Mark Hamill is the definitive voice of the Joker, and they wanted to try and sound similar to him. And many of them sound pretty dang good. I'd argue Kevin Michael Richardson would be a great successor to Mark.

I have to admit, when Mark Hamill was chosen as the voice of Chucky for the remake of Child's Play" I thought it was perfect casting. Who better to voice a killer possessed doll than someone who also voiced The Clown Prince Of Crime. I saw it in theaters & enjoyed hearing Mark Hamill's Joker as the voice of Chucky

After Kevin Conroy's unfortunate passing, Mark Hamill will most likely not voice Joker anymore... If I had to pick out of this list, I'd say Troy Baker would be the best successor to Mark Hamill. Though there are very talented voice actors on KZread that would fit just as well.

Best joker voice actors are ( in my opinion) Mark Hamill and Christopher Corey Smith.

I love how there’s so many different interpretations of the character & some do better than others, but while Hamill is iconic, I do love most of these voices for the clown. There’s only one or two that I feel don’t work at all.

There's a reason Mark Hamil has been the Joker in so much media.

So Frank Welker has played two of the most iconic villains of all time, Megatron and the Joker

It's got to be Hamill. Absolute chameleon ability to disguise his real voice. Sadly Kevin Conroy's death means he won't voice him again but the decision is understandable as I don't think he ever voiced Joker without Conroy being Batman. I quite like Troy Baker's version too.

Interestingly, I often thought that Troy Baker would be the perfect successor for both Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as Joker. Particularly because of how similar Baker’s interpretations of the two characters are to Conroy and Hamill’s, all the while making the characters his own.

But, I like Larry Storch as Joker because, one he just passed away last year, two I like his design both for Filmation and Hannah Barbara despite the limitations of The Animation at the time during most The 1960s-1970s and three I'm a fan of Classic Animation despite me being born at end of it during the late 1990s and before the Early 2000s.
