And not necessarily in a good way depending on the overall feel of the scene, which is great because he doesn't change the laugh for a scary scene, it's just so ambiguous that it's both hilarious and haunting, perfectly capturing the nature of the joker. Whimsical yet Disturbing in a maniacal way

@Salt Boi Depending on the role, just doing the voice can be harder than acting the whole thing, since you completely have to nail that one aspect, in live action you can make up for voicework with physical acting and charisma, even looks. As voice actor you have to be sure to nail the voice perfectly. Generally you don't become famous for voice acting if you aren't really great at it. Anyway since I never saw Heath Ledger act I won't compare.

tbh the Arkham knight and killing joke roles aren't a surprise as they are big roles for the joker and he would be leaving during a trilogy however other roles past DCUO are him having fun I think

He did say in an interview in Childs play that it got to the point that he would ask if Kevin conroy is in it. If he's in then he is in as well apparently

Kudos to Mark Hamill. He got shafted in being typecast as Luke Skywalker, and that global exposure prevented him from being able to be seen as anything other than Luke. Hamill is a performer with many abilities. He is an actor in his craft. Thank goodness, he found a way to channel his talents in voiceover work and get compensated for his vocal abilities. Mark: We salute you.

24+ years of Mark Hamill perfect voice for the Joker and hopefully more. And even more in the future when Mark leaves us the production can use all the old voices for Mark so the joker never leaves us!

Arkham Joker is the absolute definitive version of the character for me. Hamill's best performance as the character and the best visual design

No matter how many excellent renditions I see of these characters Conroy and Hamil will always be the voices I hear.

Every time he says “Bruce...” Damn, that’s chilling.

I seen some people complaining about how marks voice changes over the years. I think it’s like fine wine. Gets better with age.

I think the his best work came in the Batman beyond return of the joker movie. It was absolutely perfect. Perfect pitch and not to raspy/ gravely. Executed greatly when he talked calmly and intensely. Along with his static and Justice league roles.

I like with all the adaptations of joker mark has done, they all sound the same and different at the same time. Obviously he does the same voice for the character but sometimes it’s more sinister, or more clown like, maniacal, etc. Impressive as always.

Personal Favorite of Mark's Joker will always be Mask Of The Phantasm. Loved the high smooth voice he had all while still making it intimidating. Balanced out the goofiness and seriousness perfectly in that one for me.
