When she is being interviewed she sounds like any 9 year old sort of cute shy girl. When she starts to sing, she transforms in to this astonishing amazing singer, regardless of any age. I would never have listened to this song if it were not for Angelinas brilliant and touching performance. I have never before heard a kid sing like this before, and I mean never.

I am always completely surprised. Not only because Angelina is so gifted that she, at only 8 years of age here, can sing so well and with so much emotion. But also because of her calm appearence on stage. Usually children at the age 8-10 are running, jumping all over the place and in a hurry all the time. Singing in this slow pace is almost impossible for them. They really have to learn how to slow down a bit. And here we have an 8 year old Norwegian girl, singing in a very comfy pace for the listeners and completely 'in the zone'. So much so, that she probably wouldn't have noticed if a million people had been there to watch her. And listen to her pronounciation: her first language is Norwegian..... Again: she is only 8 here (now in 2023 Angelina is 17).

There are no words, I would have loved to see Dinah's expression upon hearing this 8 year old prodigy, pipe dream, I am content with the amazed reactions of all who hear her, splendid reaction and good continuation to discover Angelina, good life and music...Massimo

I’m old enough to know the hit 1959 version by Dinah Washington very well. Angelina’s take on this follows Dinah’s version, but I’m familiar enough with that 1959 song to see where Angelina takes it in a different direction. She’s 8, she’s killing it, and she’s giving us a little of her own style. And you mentioned how she must understand the lyrics to sing this way. Yes, she definitely does-and she delivers it with perfect phrasing even though English is not her first or even second language. Absolutely the best singer I’ve ever heard.

I too knew Dinah's version and listening to it again, I think how RESTRICTED Dinah because of her years of experience. She is singing INTO boxes of style, with limits and walls and ceilings. She creates that memorable version but AJ doesn't seem to limit herself. It's like "I didn't know I had to curtail my vocal tools - I thought I could use anything I have."

Norwegian's view the flower crown as a symbol of eternal love. Angelina closes her eyes and goes to her special world when she sings. She describes that world as endless and filled with love. This was the first video by Angelina that I watched so it has a special place in my heart.

If not for the steady hand Angelina received from her loving family and friends the world could have been deprived of the miracle of the 10 best years in music history provided by Angelina and her wonderful impact that will last forever. Withstanding the test of time space and gravity. Angelina seems to me the personification of love in its purest form.

Here she goes, doing that 'vocal chameleon' thing she's mastered. Similar to where her rendition of Gloomy Sunday at 7 sounded like a reincarnation of Billie Holiday's original, this one emulates the vocals of Dinah Washington's original. This girl never ceases to amaze me !

I wonder if there's a Parents of Prodigies club. What's it like when one of your children is lauded by countless throngs on the internet and real life. She has been recognized by titans in the business as well as royalty. I wonder what kind of counseling she gets to help her live this fantastical life as well as understand her affect on everyone.

Stephanie- as I understand it, her grandmother is a prodigy, but not in music! It was in art and writing, I think. But she WAS a jazz enthusiast, and exposed Angelina to it. I believe Angelina is the only singer in the family!!

Wonderful reaaction Alex. This was a hit for the great Dinah Washington; many of the legends have covered it, but, no disrespect to any of them, this was head and shoulders the most beautiful rendition of the song I have ever heard, sung by an eight year old child from Norway! Alex, she performed the song on stage again at age nine and then at ten, each time with that same magic but showing the further refinement of her craft. I highly recommend searching those ones out, if not reacting to them.

Just a note that many comments mention 150 to 200 videos in Angelina’s catalog. It’s important to let reactors know where they can actually find more Angelina content. Her two KZread channels only contain about 60 or so videos total and several and just different versions of the same songs. There are some videos on her grandmother’s channel and quite a few fan made videos.
