Barry you got it! You're the only one (as far as I know of course) to say such a glorious thing. It's what I've been saying to my friends. Did you note, she sings, 'we can go on ...', not can't? I was never a huge Elvis fan, even though my mother was, and she played his songs all the time, but I have read in the comments last night that this tribute was complete. From the black leather jumpsuit that Elvis wore on his comeback tour and the red guitar, to the hairstyle reminding us of his wife Priscilla from the early years. This young lady and those she works with are masters at what they do. And she was still paying tribute to a blue eyed Persian girl she met weighing people on the street 10 years ago. Not to mention her two little cousins and her sister being in the video. She truly is a treasure, and this interpretation was solid gold.

The guitar was exactly what Elvis used on his comeback tour in I think, 1968. The hair style was worn by Elvis' wife Priscilla. Elvis always wore boots, echoed bu Angelina in her entrance.

I been an Elvis fan all my life and I'm 61 I've been to two Elvis concerts and I say yes Elvis would have approved in a big way.

What a rendition! Her Gandma Mery produced this. Looks like she used the same store she used for My Funny Valentine! Her sister Juliette was the older girl. The 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, and, of course, the great Rob Christie on piano. What a great cover! I was not expecting this! Funny thing is, this was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! 16 years old???? Seriously??? Wow!!!!

Great reaction Vibe. Was released 6-21-22 Angie is 16 here. I love what she did with this story. Love all of Angie's nods to Elvis, also his wife Priscilla & daughter Lisa too & Angie growing up. Angie really out did herself on this one. She put in a lot of Elvis references, really amazing the respect & homage she paid to Elvis. Angie really blew this one away. Angie filmed this at the Melrose Gallery and Antiques in West Hollywood CA. It matches the song & her timeless voice. So many of us Angie Angels were enjoying her dropping of this song last night. When Angelina sings I pay attention. Lyrics I knew (but never knew before..🤷🏾‍♂️) suddenly reveal themselves almost as if hearing them for the first time. Such is the power and magnetism her voice exudes. She just draws you in and caresses your soul.

I'm here for Angelina, but if you're gonna do Elvis then "In the ghetto" is a must see.

You can't compare Angelina's version to Elvis's version. They are two different songs. Angelina has made it intimate and emotional while Elvis legendary version is pop. Neither is better than the other, it's just personal preference and for me, I love this new Angelina version and it's all I would listen to!

AJ pays great respect to the music, pours heart and soul into it.

Angelina signed with Republic Records last year. The pianist is 2-time Grammy winner Rob Christie, he is head of Republic Records and Paramount Music Studios.

Great tribute to the King right down to the 68 Comeback special black leather and the Priscilla beehive hairdo. Absolutely loved it. Oh once you go Elvis you will not be disappointed. You can never go wrong with the King.

Wonderful rendition from Angelina. And if you listen to this a couple of times it just gets better every time. At least for me that is what happened. Elvis' version is fantastic but I'm not sure anymore which one I prefer! The slower part of this song on this AJ's version is absolutely mesmerizing! The piano player on this song is Rob Christie (Studio Director of Republic Records). I think Rob plays piano also on some Angelina's Adele covers.

I say; - it doesn`t get much better than this, does it? Well, Angelina will prove me wrong again, I expect. Another level it is anyway. I also love how her sister and nieces plays along to Angelinas great artist tour, in this and other videos. I guess she is now about to reach the end of her runway, and is about to take-off. Being 65 I grew up listening to Elvis and the blues thats all my grandfather listened to. After Elvis passed lots of his friends did tribute songs . James Brown Fats Domino John lee Booker And the list goes on. This young lady has the voice of a angel, Elvis would be proud.

Did you notice the republic records banner isn’t on this song, her grandmother produced this, had to cost her a bundle. Rent the shop, hire a cinematographer, art director, gaffer and a Grammy winning pianist. I thought when she hired the band for I put a spell on you was a little extravagant for 9 year old, but WOW look at the results probably one of the best singers in the world today. Once again Mery never misses a chance to film her grandchildren and Angelina dressed for the performance, she is and always has been a true artist, when she performs every little thing counts.

You are right that Republic didn’t produce this video, but that is still «Republic Rob» on the piano there, and I don’t think the studio manager is just a hired gun. Film director Cole McCarthy made the RR-stamped «Easy On Me» video. So more than grandma simply forking out, it seems that there is a very interesting and somewhat untraditional collaboration between RR and the Astar operation and family of artists. Notably the song itself is copyrighted to Angelina Jordan Inc - just like her version of «Bohemian Rhapsody». So legally, this isn’t an Elvis cover, but a new version and arrangement of a Mark James song that belongs to Angelina. As for «I Put A Spell On You», it was directed by the famous Norwegian photographer Per Heimly and recorded with the staff band of the Norwegian armed forces. They have the rights to the «It’s Magic» album, probably under favourable terms for the national treasure that is Angelina, and most likely covered the production costs (over the national budget!).

I have no special insights into the Republic/Astar relationship, and my interest in Angelina is purely as an amazing artist. But I have had a little to do with the music industry in the past, and can’t help but making some observations as I go along enjoying her fabulous music. From my viewpoint, not only Angelina’s team but also Republic seem to be doing just about everything right if they are creating an artist for the ages rather than a Billboard fluke. Which is to say working patiently and together. It is pretty remarkable, but then again what about Angelina isn’t? Have a nice day!

I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't and the song is all the better for it. Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great and it always was, and still is, one of my favorites; but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own.
