Since age six she always performs barefoot after meeting another little girl in the Middle East that was on the street weighing people for money. She had no shoes so Angelina gave her shoes to her. She published a book about this at age nine and has raised millions for charities. She is a very special 😇

She's never shown me that sass in other songs, but her jazzy vocals are as stunning in other videos. You should check her out when she was 7 in Norway got talent competition, songs such as "Summertime"! The younger you see her the more unbelievable she looks to you. Angelina Is definitely your girl. Most of the songs available, are live versions and most of those are simply rehearsals or spontaneous performances. She's a perfectionist, yet she experiments a lot. She's not afraid to let people look at unfinished products or things she's just testing out. She shares of herself in so many ways. Most of her professional recordings are freely available on KZread. It is always fantastic to see the first reaction 'to the Spell'. The same thing happens every time. The reactors brain is working so hard that there is a danger of overload. ok....This is the second time on your site. My response is to this performance is incredible. Notice how she has a number of LIVE muscicans in the background. Whoever her handlers are, probably her parents, know she is a once in a lifetime occurrence type of child. The musicians are lucky to be playing backup and dozens more that want to be her backup. Yes, I have tears of joy and happiness when she sings. I have listened to a number of her recordings but this one, I have not heard. I see you also have a Billy Holiday response and I am going to that one now. See you there. PS. I am in my late sixties and grew up in a classical music family, father a concert violinist, mother a pianist and my hearing is spot on. This was the first video of hers that I saw and my reaction was much like yours. I knew right away that we were dealing with a special creature. Her version of this song is better than the original. She actually murders a song that basically doesn't have a melody. It's all in the power and the emotion. I've watched virtually everything I can find that she's done and she never ceases to amaze. Hah hah! That was the absolute *BEST* reaction to this I've seen yet!!🤣 This young lady is a unicorn in the music world and her soul is very old! She has been writing all of her own arrangements for some time now, which is why Simon Cowell hadn't heard that version of Bohemian Rhapsody that she got the Golden Buzzer for on AGT Champions. I see you have a string of other reactions for her after that first one, so I won't go into too much detail, but it's pretty obvious this girl has gotten under your skin, like she has with so many others (including myself). Fun fact: after a few unsuccessful takes, Screamin' Jay Hawkins and his band got blackout drunk and wound up recording the version that would become his signature song throughout his career. He claimed to have no recollection of recording it. So for Angelina Jordan to so perfectly capture the essence of Screamin' Jay's version is pretty impressive when you consider: a) she was 9 years old at the time, and b) she was most likely stone-cold sober (maybe her mom let her have a soda or two before the session, who knows?) The song was my introduction to Angelina. I was going down the Screamin' Jay Hawkins rabbit hole (seriously, y'all; check out his appearances on David Sanborn's Night Music) and this showed up in the Suggested Videos. I was seriously expecting it to be horrible at worst, and mediocre at best, but I came away a True Believer in Angelina's talents.

She will just grab you and pull you in every time she sings. ...and because Angelina is new to you and maybe some of your followers, I always like to share a little bio on her so that you can learn a little about her.. *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 13 (just barely 9 in this performance) - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her Grandmother and youtube videos and started studying all the greats from Jazz history. - Angelina always sings barefoot..... When Angelina was 6, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. The girl complimented her on her pretty shoes, so Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. She made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. (that's a shortened version. the full story is more touching than the way I have told it here). - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. I've watched maybe ten reactions to this video. You and one other only showed any special reaction to that incredible, melodic, screech she does near the start. First time I heard that I was like "WTF?!?!" and then there's the "Hey hey hey! Watch out!" That was a surprise too. Not that the entire performance wasn't shocking. And yeah, I'm hooked too. Liked and subbed.
