This video was Amira's contrubution to a telethon for veterans. Her performances are used in VA hospitals as a part of treatment for PTSD.

I've looked at your Amira playlist. There are a couple of newer songs I'd love you react to - so I can listen to them with you! One is a duet ' I'll walk with God', the other is 'La Virgine Degli Angeli. They are from the same concert. There is another delightful one from that same concert ' The Little Drummer Boy' African style with a fabulous dance and singing African choir backing her. They can all be found on Amira's KZread channel.

Good to see you back with one of your great reactions to Amira. Sorry you've not been well, hope you continue to feel better with the antibiotics. Wow.. yes.. I fully understand you hanging on that one note and repeat listening... I find myself doing exactly the same on certain Amira notes. In this song it was the final note I kept relistening to.. I love the way it starts to ring as it goes on to the finish. Her dad's brilliant accompaniment on piano with no other sound you can really hear the quality of Amira's voice. It's a beautiful performance.

What an amazing voice, world class artist, great reaction.

The concert was held on the anniversary of 9/11 - 20 years, but was dedicated to the veterans. Amira was one of a dozen or so who contributed.. it was all done on line. There are a few occasions where Amira has sung to her father playing. There is a church concert where she sings How Great Thou Art, aged about 15. The version of Ave Maria ( Gonez) at 11, has Gerrit on organ. And a couple of very early pieces are family affairs. Her father's name seem to be pronounced Herrit, though it is spelled with a G. Great reaction. You obviously love her singing, as a lot of us do. She is a complete natural.

This was from a streaming concert on 9/11. It is a tribute all veterans around the world. This what the speech was about. Amira was one of the many performers around the world. I like them all, but Amira was my favorite. She is now my favorite female singer. I am glad you are feeling better. I too have issues, but Amira smooths the days out.

Incredibly beautiful piece where Amira performs with and outstanding men's choir and exquisite string ensemble and the lovely, sensitive piano accompaniment by Charl du Plessis. Thanks Wolf - Amira is performing LIVE on the 20th March in Pretoria, South Africa celebrating her 18th birthday - I and a rather large group of family and friends will be attending in what will be the best of the best pieces to showcase her outrageous talent - your reaction to her performances at this concert will be interesting in the months to come..

Amira will be 18 in March of this year, 2022. Her birthday is in March. She was 9 in October 2013 at her audition in "Holland's Got Talent." 2013 - 9 equals 2004, her birth year. 2004 -+ 18 equals 2022. Presently in late January 2022, she is about 17 10/12 years of age. The video was released in September 2021, so was 17 then. Presumably, she & her father recorded it in that same year, 2021, so she was probably 17 wen she recorded the video. Her rendition of the song is much more operatic than the original in the movie which was sung by a man in a soothing style to set the stage for the transformation of the puppet into a living creature.

Agrée entirely Wolf. Can you even try to imagine her performing in say 10 years time when her voice finally matures ( normally around the mid twenties for females. ) as you’ve done, I’ve followed Amira on her journey since she was nine, & the development in both her voice & her personally is simply wonderful. Wolf, how about doing a reaction video to Brianna Harness performing her original "WARRIOR". Briana comes from music royalty, she is the great grand- daughter of Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter. She has a lot of music posted where she performs with her dad, Struggle Jennings. All of their video productions are very well done and follow along the lines of the Outlaw music movement coming out of Nashville. Most of the musicians that perform on their videos are the best Nashville has to offer.

It actually started in Holland I believe, in 2007.

Has she picked up her speaking English accent from her friend, Alma Deutscher? The Queen’s English. But she sang this with an American accent.
