Hallo Dustin, bei mir erscheint immer noch die alte Version. Vielleicht solltest Du die Subtitles besser ausschalten. Es sind die English/US Untertitel, die deutschen sind korrekt.

Thanks, Dustin. I can understand why a bad translation can come off very wrong sometimes, this being a perfect example of that. I've tried to have your back in the comments, but as I am not German myself, my opinion lends no more credence than from a viewer from another country. Although I DO understand German very close to 100% if not actually 100%. Still I prefer to communicate in English, to make sure that my point of view comes across in the best way possible. I don't want any bad translations..LMAO Have agreat rest of the weekend, my friend. Please react some more to Angelina 🙂

Elmar, maybe you could save your German friend from the savage comments he is receiving, caused by the automatically generated "closed captions," for a "racist remark" he never made! Please see my comment (Bustedcore Reaction) pinned it to the top, and read the comments on my comment. When introducing the song in the beginning he described Labyrinth as "Afroamerikaner" (wrongly, Labyrinth is English) and the CC translated it as "American monkey)!

Pay attention to what he says at 1:20...I think you'll agree that Angelina would Not agree with his description of Labyrinth...as "a Monkey". IMHO Racism isn't an angelic virtue....

Hallo Öle. Danke das Du mir die Arbeit abgenommen hast! Kleiner Scherz! Aber es stimmt, Angelina ist eine der besten Sängerinnen, egal ob im Jazz, im Pop, im Rock, also allgemein. Wenn sie sich einen Song vornimmt, pflückt sie ihn auseinander und setzt ihn wieder so zusammen, wie sie meint, das er gut klingt, auf jeden anders. Und was wir nicht vergessen dürfen, sie ist eine Geschichtenerzählerin. Bei vielen Songs, hat man in der Hauptsachen die Melodie gehört, gekannt, oft auch irgendwie mitgesungen. Bei ihr wird man mehr oder weniger fast gezwungen zuzuhören. Und man versteht den Text. Angelina ist ein Wunder! After Communicating with poolhallshark and getting comments from other Angels I have known for some time…long enough to trust, including yourself, I now believe that the cc translation is likely in error and that BUSTEDCORE did not intend to make racial slur in his commentary. I am either deleting or replacing my comments which made that accusation, and I want to apologize to BUSTEDCORE for making such a fuss. Ihope he , and you can forgive my mistake. I would note that the translation into English STILL uses the term “Monkey” and I Highly recommend that BUSTEDCORE take immediate steps to correct that so that others do not make my mistake.

Have you confronted him on it? I do not support racism but I wouldn't want to make false or misleading judgements without a better understanding.

Hallo Dustin, Angelina wusste schon als kleines Kind, was sie kann und wie sie die Lieder am besten herüber bringt. Wie sie eigentlich gesungen werden sollten. Man denkt immer, besser geht´s nicht mehr, aber sie überrascht immer auf´s neue. Der Jazz liegt ihr im Blut und ist ihr Steckenpferd, ich hoffe sie bringt nächstes Jahr ihr Album in diesem Stil heraus. Ihre Konzerte in Norwegen waren fantastisch, ich war Sandefjord dabei, da hat sie dieses Lied auch am Anfang gesungen. Das ganze Konzert war einfach magisch, es gibt auch Aufnahmen mit guter Audio-Qualität davon. Aber sie hat auch schon selber Lieder geschrieben, sehr jazzy ist z.B. ihr "7th heaven". Vernachlässige aber bitte nicht ihre frühreren Songs, z.B. "I´m still holding out to you" oder "Feeling good". Grundsätzlich ist aber alles von ihre hörens- und sehenswert :)

I was born in Germany and grew up in America but I speak both German and English. I've had the subtitles on for many videos, even when they are speaking English and the translation is not always correct. The way I understood it was that he said Afro American but he wasn't enunciating the word Afro very well and it sounded like Affe instead of Afro. Affe means ape but that's not what I heard him say. Then he said sorry, we can't say "Afrikaner" meaning African anymore. He was laughing at how ridiculous it is that we can't say that anymore. He wasn't calling anyone a monkey or an ape. Also as Kristin A. pointed out, only the US uses the word Afro in front of American. To the rest of the world, they are Americans.

Hey Dustin, dieses Video war mir ganz entgangen, aber lustig, als ich deine Reaktion auf "Million Miles" angesehen hatte war da kurz der Impuls dir genau dieses Video zu empfehlen... Let's go! (...) - Super Reaktion, dachte ich mir doch, dass dir dieses hier gefallen würde! Zwei Anmerkungen: - Subtitel/Übersetzung: versteh die Aufregung nicht ganz, ich schaue zum Beispiel wegen einiger Künstler die ich liebe, aber wenig auf englischen Kanälen vertreten sind häufig Reaktionen auf Spanisch, verstehe da aber nicht so viel, deshalb schalte ich Untertitel dazu und lasse es mir automatisch übersetzen. da kommt manchmal kompletter Müll raus, gelegentlich aus sehr lustig, aber meistens reicht es, um mir zusammenzureimen was die da ungefähr sagen... Und wie die Musik ankommt seh ich doch an der Mimik, der Körperspache etc., ich käme nie auf die Idee eine fehlerhafte Maschinenübersetzung dem Videoersteller anzulasten - und dass du dir jedesmal die Arbeit machst das alles zu korrigieren ist echt zu viel verlangt, vor allem wenn du mit englisch nicht so wirklich flüssig und sattelfest bist... Ich sehe da zwei Möglichkeiten: Entweder du versuchst es für nicht-deutsche Künstler selbst auf englisch, ich kenne und liebe einige Kanäle aus aller Welt, deren Englisch nicht perfekt ist, meistens tut das der Reaktion überhaupt keinen Abbruch wenn die Leute authentisch und emotional durchlässig reagieren - und das englisch wird mit der Zeit immer besser... du hattest hier ja schon einen englischen Satz drinnen, geht also... - oder, wenn du dich mit englisch nicht so anfreunden kannst (und muttersprachliche Reaktionen haben auch was, da kann man sich einfach viel nuancierter ausdrücken...) dann lass es so und weise vielleicht darauf hin, dass automatische Übersetzungen fehlerhaft sein können. Punkt... - Jazz: Ich liebe Angelina, und in ihrem Alter kenne ich keine die so singen könnte, aber es gibt schon auch noch einige lebende geile Jazzsängerinnen, auch jüngere... hier mal eine, Reaction wäre cool, aber Du kannst es dir auch privat anhören - aber du suchst ja eh nach Inhalten, dies wäre meiner Meinung nach eine gute Ergänzung auf deiner Reise als Einstieg in zeitgenössischen Jazzgesang (und ansonsten hör einfach mal in einige von Angelinas Idolen rein, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse kennst du vermutlich, Sarah Vaughan war phänomenal... aber die sind alle schon mehr oder weniger lange tot (ich höre sie mir trotzdem immer wieder gerne an, sind einfach Legenden und zu Recht!) Also hier mal was Aktuelles... Haley Reinhart singt nicht nur Jazz sondern Queerbeet, wie Angelina, aber Jazz ist sicherlich etwas, worin sie besonders gut ist... pass aber auf was Du sagst: ein falsches Wort über Haley und du bist mich für immer los... sie ist eine meiner Göttinen, mach dich auf eine absolut irre Erfahrung gefasst... Das Lied kennst du vielleicht im Original, war mal ganz groß... Ansonsten gebe ich dir erstmal keine Background Info zur Band etc... das wäre hier zu viel, lass es uns "blind" machen, wenn es Dir taugt wirst du alles wichtige in den Kommentaren lesen können, Haley's fans ("Haliens") sind genauso dedicated wie die Angels... Sehr geehrter Freund, diese Bezeichnung habe ich auch schon verwendet und bekam ziemlich Ärger. Meine Frau, sie arbeited viel mit gebildeten Amerikanern empfiehlt: POC Was Se machen Können, ist im nächsten Video eine Erklärung und "Entschuldigung" in Englisch auszusprechen. "Dear viewers in the last video with Angelina Jordan, I used a term, that in Europe is politicaly ok. I am sorry to say, the translation translated this into a absolutly horrendous term. I’ve been informed he didn’t actually say monkey. Since I don’t speak the language I can only understand by reading the captions. If that’s the case I certainly apologize with the greatest humility! I know captions are sometimes incorrect. It never occurred to me that such a mistake could turn an innocent comment into a seemingly horrendous remark. Once again, I sincerely apologize.

I would note that the translation into English STILL uses the term “Monkey” and I Highly recommend that BUSTEDCORE take immediate steps to correct that so that others do not make my mistake.

I think Labyrinth is English not "Afro-American". (As a German you know only USA have "Afro" anything..). There are no "Afro-German", "Afro-British" or "Afro-Norwegian" for that matter.. It must be an American thing.. Not found in Europe - or Africa.. ;-)

No i dind't say monkey. Its afro American. Even afrikan would be the false Word. There is no such Thing as africans. American and other Western country's are calling them africans, or like in America, afro American. It just means an American with an afro nothing more or less.
