    these young children who can sing from their soul starting at such a young age. Thank goodness they are preserved on KZread. I'm pretty sure you will eventually react to Diana Ankudinova. She has an interesting early childhood - well perhaps "interesting" isn't the word I'm looking for for her story (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diana_Ankudinova) but rather it had tragedy written all over it but fortune smiled upon her and she overcame those tough beginnings. I have this video on my channel from when she was about 10 singing a Beatles tune without the music backing track playing - kzread.info/dash/bejne/lml7zLqGh8_aZJs.html They are so delightful at that age.

    Angelina Jordan is likely the best singer of her generation, so unique a full of talent. Winning Norway's Got Talent at 7 years old? What? Unbelievable. She has a strong fan base as well, I believe they are her Angels? Another Norwegian talent is Aurora. I believe her enthusiastic fanbase are called Warriors? You would love her too I think. Check out Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen). Another amazing talent.

    Wonderful reaction! She was 7 here. If you want to go back even FURTHER to age 6, there are videos of her singing during practice time in her Norwegian music school's sound studio! If you want to hear a 1st grader singing "Hurt," Tom Jones' "I Have Nothing," and Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," and doing them like a PRO, you should watch those videos! I believe you can find them in Rusty Shackleford's chronological listing on his YT channel. Mind-blowing!

    Right at the very end of the video, you see them preparing to leave...Angelina is wearing the same things that she is wearing in what will become an iconic image in the future...a shot of her in a warm winter coat with a mesh veil over her face under a pretty bucket style hat...pure art in an image....I would guess it was taken that day and it's amazing to think of the difference between that and the image of her saying "I will be like - AAAHHH" with her missing teeth...you'll find the image on her pages and channels

    Oh Baby Angelina.. I can never watch this too many times... I can see that her mind, ear was already WAY beyond what her little lungs could sustain 🤗🤗. But she knew exactly what she wanted to perform... From sticking out that little "Ok, I'm ready to go" thumb to the little nuances she used... Billie Holiday is her favorite artist... So she knows the song very well... But C'MON!! So cool to see this child give it all... Favorite part: holding that last note until there was no more air in her little lungs... Long way from the LONG note she holds beautifully in her latest drop, studio Version of "I Have Nothing". .She is SO endearing and FOCUSED.. Love her to da moon!! Glad to hear the plan for how you'll watch her perform... The best playwright in the business couldn't make up her story!! And here, she's the child with a heart that's giving her all to match it vocally.. A tiny request, your set up has you both covering most of the screen and video ... 🤔. PEACE and much fun to watch you!!!!

    Thanks for another great, emotional and wonderful reaction 🙂 You are not the only ones who are made to cry... I felt the same way and many others did too. Of course you now have a difficult decision ahead of you... what comes next and in what order do you want to continue? Chronologically, it's a long but also beautiful way and you grow up with Angelina and see her progress... Her other appearances on NGT... Bang Bang and Summertime would be next there. And then, of course, there are several masterpieces in her aging journey... -Feeling Good (live with Band) at 10 - Iam Still Holding Out for you (leaked Demoversion) at 10...one of her best - Its a Mans World (live with Orchester) 12 - Stay by Rihanna (12) - I rather go blind by Etta James (13) - All I ask by Adel (realy great) 15 - !!! Easy on Me (15)... Better than Adel 😁 - My funny Valentin (16) ....and a Lot more If you want to make your heads explode 😉... You said you are huge Elvis fans... Then check out one of their latest releases... Suspicous Minds by Elvis at 16. That Voice 😱 And what every Angelina fan would like to recommend to you...the songs she wrote herself. - Shield (12) ... Live-Version -7th Heaven (15) live in Studio-Version - Million Miles (15) Black and White Stidio-Version !!!! This is of course only a small selection of their more than 160 covers, but they are the ones that probably most of their fans would be happy to discover with you 🙂 I'm really looking forward to accompanying you on your way with Angelina 😊 Greetings from Germany

    Don't worry about skipping around through her music: we're all her to have fun and chat about beautiful music :-) You see a little sweet girl coming on stage with a wild name of hair, teeth missing, barefoot in a princess dress. As soon as she starts singing the artist appears captivating audience and jury. You might like listening to the original by Billie Holiday back to back and notice how close she got. Keep enjoying yourself one your journey: other NGT performances, AGT performances, go by artists (Elvis, Whitney, Michael, Adele, Queen, Rihanna, Ella, Etta, Frank, Beatles) or go for her originals.

    You just can't fake that. This kid has music right in her very soul. It's not even that her voice is great (which it is), but for me it is more that even at this very young age, she just feels it in her bones. The intricate little details she does when she sings... I don't think she could even plan them. She just feels them in the moment and they come out naturally. It's not something I would ever think could be said about a 7 year old... but there it is anyway. It's un-explainable yet undeniable.

  • @RNTV

    @RNTV

    Perfectly put. It's not like in this she's out singing herself now in the current day. She sings beautifully here but, she has improved so much. It's really just moving how much a 7yr old really does feel the pain and emotion in these songs. They were written with so much life experience behind them, and she fully realizes that when she performs them. 💚

    Yeah it doesn't sound obvious vocally. Hearing the original, and allowing yourself to get lost in that surreal performance would be necessary for most to understand what they were seeing. Her singing was amazing for a 7 year old, but maybe not the kind of song and style that everyone would understand. I also was pleased with the judges and fans that she got to them. What she gave them was the kind of music you usually need a life time to be able to pull off. Not just for the storytelling either. The vocal techniques and execution of them are for the masters. I'm not a jazz guy, before hearing the original and a bit more jazz, after this first time, I thought it was really good for a kid, and a crazy understanding of music, a feel for it. But I let her transport me, who knows if I didn't. Took a bit to learn it was just really good in general. I was of the mind most people would be not so fond of jazz like me.

    Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Audions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZread before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Glommy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " 💯 *AJ* 💯 BTW, Angelina's mother Sara said in an interview when Angelina was about 11/12 years old, *only Angelina chooses the songs and she only sings them the way she imagines* . 🤗🤗🤗

    Saw the tears of her mother, realizing, she had to share her little baby with the world? But Sara Astar (her mother's name) took her serious, and did everything, to support and protect her, while her mother (Angelina's Grandma) Mery Zamani, an artist herself, was mentor, the one who recognized Angelina, her talent fom early age, introduced her to jazz, empowered her and made a lot of documentary work up to now. Sara's brother Michael is Angelina's manager. She was really lucky with her family, and she is aware of that, as the story shows, she wrote down in her book "Between Two Hearts" If you type that in on YT, you will find an interview with Norway TV, where she also reads from that book. After that her huge outdoor concert soon after age 8 WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKE. Will make you see growth already from her NGT performances. I love it. She even has backing singers.

    Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷 David Fehlman In a interview after this performance Angelina's mom was asked why she was crying during her performance?? Were they happy tears?? Mom said; " They were happy tears but they were also sad tears because I know I just lost my daughter to the world at that point in time,

    Great reaction M&J. (Sara, Angie's mom was asked what she thought when she saw her on the screen backstage, (she was wiping her tears when watching) “I knew I had just lost my little girl to the world”) The family has always been very close & since that even more protective of her from the entertainment industry’s vultures & hyena's. (From TIME magazine) This 7-Year Old's Incredible Voice Will Give You Chills as She Channels Billie Holiday BY MELISSA LOCKER MARCH 10, 2014 11:59 AM EDT A 7-year-old girl managed to absolutely wow the judges on a televised talent show with her spot-on rendition of Billy Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday.” The youngster, Angelina Jordan, appeared on the stage of “Norway’s Got Talent”, barefoot and in a white dress, and announced that she would be be singing Holiday’s dark jazz standard. The skeptical judges were blown away from the moment she started singing. You might want to start from the very beginning were it all started. “I, who have nothing” by Ben E. Awesome reaction, guys! Mike's reaction made me cry. And I don't really cry that often. But WHEN I do, it's always related to Angelina in some way. She is just one incredibly special human being and a fantastic singer/vocalist. A true prodigy. If you feel that you have the time for it, I encourage you to do the three last performances as well, because it will set you up for the rest of her in the most perfect way. Context 😉 BUT! IF you want to indulge yourselves with her most recent studio recording, and particularly since Jess is such a BIG Elvis fan, then go ahead and react to her cover of "Suspicious Minds". It is just beyond words incredible, trust me on that 🙂 Here is the link : kzread.info/dash/bejne/hIiWrcqkk8i4YJM.html Much love and respect from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

    Thank you for your enthusiastic reaction to Angelina and I'm looking forward to the next one. Norwegian born Angelina began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Influences include Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Diana Washington, Adele, Frank Sinatra, Amy Winehouse, Lana del Rey, and many more. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! She also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy. She is now 16, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records over a year ago. She is not widely promoted yet, however, as her family has decided to wait until she graduates school, so she has a normal childhood. Here is a link from ages 6 to 16 to all her 200+ chronological performances, including five originals. These encompass additional performances to those on her channels. m.kzread.info/head/PL2v8kgVeo4EbYDVnRwObjETfWpXbzbgIO Why does Angelina sing barefoot? When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond. Angelina penetrates hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. I trust this will cause you to embrace her as millions of others have, and that you will continue down the rabbit hole from which you will not want to escape. Peace and love. kzread.info Thank you for including the Original Video link as well as the artist Official Channel. People out there !!!!! What is being seriously overlooked here is that Angelina stepped out onto this stage with a MISSION. This girl at her tender age portrayed a knowledge and wisdom that is unheard of in what she was at that time presenting to the world of music as we know it... A genuinely smart PIONEER with her mind already made up as to how and what singing should be like when redefined to a true art. ( No disrespect intended to any other singers ) Fast forward to the present and she is still manifesting the same qualities to virtual perfection. Angelina is NOT just another singer ... She has broken the mould into many tiny pieces , knitting together a unique Genre that is unlike anything we have been subjected to for a long time . We may paraphrase " What a difference a day makes " ... and let it resound to one and all... " What a difference our Barefoot Princess makes " This young lady was , is and continues to be Different... A well oiled machine . ANGELINA IS MUSIC !!!!!

    An amazing reaction to an amazing talent. All four of Angelina's performances are worth watching, each of which are more amazing than the previous. You will notice in short order that Angelina's talent grows exponentially, even when it's over such a short time spread as NGT. If you watch nothing else, be sure to see her final performance. This final video I've linked below has her amazing rendition of "Summertime" (Gershwin), sung in the style of Ella Fitzgerald with tones of Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. She certainly has the hair to match Amy, one of her musical icons. . There are 4 parts of it, to which I recommend watching and reacting to the first 3. It has English CC, and was assembled as a spotlight on Angelina, just as AGT does with its finalists. The segments are as follows: Part 1 - NGT spotlight on Angelina, including Angelina' detailing some of her experiences on NGT. This leads directly to the performance. Part 2 - Performance of "Summertime" Part 3 - Immediately following the performance each of the judges interact with Angelina about the impact she has made on each of them. I recommend listening to all 4 of the judges' remarks as they capture who Angelina is, and who she is destined to be. This will conclude at the 8 min mark. Part 4 - This last segment begins immediately after the judges' comments and contains the buildup to Angelina being named winner of the 2014 NGT season. This last segment lasts nearly 5 minutes on its own, so nearly all reactors trim this part out. I suppose you could always fast forward to the Angelina being named winner at the 10 .15 mark. Again, most trim this part off and watch it on their own. NGT 4 - "SUMMERTIME" (spotlights Angelina, performance, judges, winning NGT, and has English CC) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIJozaOolpTPo5M.html If you do decide to listen to her other performances, I recommend a two-for-one reaction on Angelina's performance of "I'm a Fool to Love You". At 7 years of age she delivers a flawless a capella rendition of the song. It's both priceless and precious. For the second part, I recommend matching her studio performance of the song made at around 11 years old for her I-Tunes/Amazon album. So play and react to baby Angelina on NGT and then jump ahead the 4 short intervening years to hear something that no 11 year old should be able to do. Back to back they can give you an idea about how far she's come and a glimpse of how far she's destined to go. The video accompanying the second piece is shot by her grandmother, Meri Zamani. Meri Zamani is an Iranian born child prodigy, not in music, but in art and poetry. Meri designs much of Angelina's attire and is Angelina's most significant mentors. Even today, Angelina Jordan Astar (16), Juliette (10), her parents, Meri, and her Uncle Michael Astar are an exceptionally close family unit. Most significantly, this strong family has helped shield Angelina from the harmful effects of the music industry many other children fall prey to. Their chief goal is that Angelina has as normal a childhood as possible, and secondly, that Angelina be allowed to follow her passion for singing. Here are the 2 links: I think you should take a listen to: NGT 2 - "I'M A FOOL TO WANT YOU" ( 7 years old, sung all in a capella to judges' panel) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/aIB9xbOFZcqyn7w.html Studio Album Performance - "I'M A FOOL TO WANT YOU" (11 years old) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/hXusksajiLe-gc4.html

    Yet another wonderful Angelina reaction. At 0:25 in her video, you can see her father, Gerry Christian Slattman. He is wearing a blue sweater and holding Angelina's little sister, Juliette. He is an executive in the petroleum industry (a very large part of Norway's economy) and chooses to keep a low profile as related to Angelina's growing public profile.
