No, not by a long shot. I was keyed to see him when he was set to tour the US. in the spring of 2020. And Covid washed out all his concerts. What a bummer. He and his group have a delightful magic.

I am a Ukrainian soldier watching this video from a trench. I am crying because I want to live and enjoy moments like this concert. I don't want to kill or die. I want to live for love.

I feel that too. I may not be serving in my country's armed forces but as someone witnessed a lot of hurt and been hurt on all levels I can't be more happy about with my life and my relationship. I never dated until after my first semester at college. I never expected to end up in a relationship with someone as great as my boyfriend. He taught me to trust again and not be afraid being hurt. He was and still is patient and understanding. I couldn't be more happy and grateful. Even though I had originally planned to join the military after high school to follow in my parents footsteps I am glad fate led me in a direction.

One musician with one orchestra getting nearly 60.000 people singing probably one of the greatest love anthems of our time. Incredible!

Now, Andre is a uniter.

What absolutely amazes me is that Andre et al play this song all around the planet; and no matter what country they're in, the audience enthusiastically sings all the words in English just like they would in Miami or Seattle. You can see it in the video of their Dubai concerts. That apparently means that Elvis's song is so loved worldwide that non-English-speaking people sing it in English.

Elvis would be crying his eyes out to this. He thought he was going to be forgotten. That man was wrong. Elvis still lives and is loved to this day and generations and decades later songs like this will be sung and heard for all time. Elvis' body may not walk among us anymore but his spirit still does. All those lights out there in the audience, the fact they are all singing along PROVES Elvis WILL live on forever and I can tell Mr Presley is smiling down on all of them and saying the biggest "thank you thank you very much" of his entire life with again, tears going down his face. Elvis didn’t actually write the song. Don’t get me wrong, it was written for him to sing and it’s truly beautiful but I prefer other renditions by other artists . I’ve always thought Elvis to be overrated.

I’m gonna be 21 next month and i feel like i’m one of the fewest in my generation who loves andre rieu music and concerts. Its one of my wishes and also on my list is to go to his concert and sing along with all these old generation people and cry with them and we all keep hugging each others all night and forget about anything else happening in the world. Andre rieu masterpieces never failed to make me cry. I just love him and all the musicians working with him.

Here I am sitting all alone, New Years Day by 0:48 minutes before a whole year of being alone, thinking about my partner who died on the 14th March 1996 from MS at the age of 36, and now I'm crying. Whatever you do, never play "Up Where We Belong" because that was "Our Song".

I was a dancer & acrobat. I got ill in my 20s & have had to use a wheelchair at times during relapses (15+ years). Like most comments I've just read, this brought a tear to my eye too. However, when the dancer in the wheelchair came onstage & they performed that amazingly flawless lift, that tear turned into a flood. This touched me deeply. I found the escapism dancing gave me in art. I'm sitting listening to Andre Rieu, covered in paint, with inspirational quotes playing on a slideshow on my computer screen. It seems tonight was the perfect time to discover this. A favourite quote: _"Music washes away the dust from the soul of everyday life."_ _(Berthold Auerbach)_ It really does.

Timeless anf romantic. Looks like Andre is having as much fun as the audience is having.

I just wish that in some way Elvis would know how much his music impacts the whole world. He always wanted to perform overseas but Col. Tom Parker would not let him for selfish reasons; he was afraid his status in the U.S. might be discovered. Nevertheless, Elvis is adored everywhere in the world even today.

Certainly, Elvis was the first to perform this piece and he did a beautifully touching job of it. Too often, we tend to forget the composers and lyricists who make our favorite performance possible. This piece was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore and George David Weiss in 1961. To me, we are deeply indebted to all four men for creating a beautiful piece of music that is truly timeless.

One of Elvis best heartbreaking songs. His rich voice was absolutely awesome!

Herr Rieu, Sie wissen wie man die Seele eines Menschen berührt. Ich glaube, live dürfte ich mir das nicht antuhen, ich würde dehydrieren. Trotzdem würde ich es gern versuchen. Schaun wir mal.
