It's not a religious song at all, despite the references to God and the very ample use of hallelujah. Sorry to shatter your vision of the song, but it's classic Leonard Cohen, it's all about one hell of a love affair with a lot of hot sex that all fell apart. I don't think I need to explain what the hallelujahs actually mean in the song's context.

Mr Rieu, during your concerts, some people are crying, couples are hugging and kissing. We are all dreaming. it's magical. Thank you

Lo fui a ver con Analia a Chile hace 11 años, justo antes de su diagnóstico y fue un disfrute. No soy tan docta en música clásica como para juzgarlo, pero el espectáculo que monta llevando el arte a un público quizás más popular pero que admira la buena música y no el rap actual, o cumbias villeras, no se puede dejar de admirar y ahora tendrán el placer de verlo en Montevideo. Yo fui de las que saque entradas antes de la Pandemia y cuando suspendío las devolví xq ni idea de cuándo podría fijar nueva fecha. Last year we were lucky with our choir to sing along with two of these sopranos, namely Anna Majchrzak (at the right) and Donij van Doorn (left side). What a great voices.

These 3 ladies voices blend so beautiful together They really do the song Justice Anna Carmen and Donij are the perfect trio to sing this song

This is like Hymn to Heaven. Beautiful presentation. May this song serve as hope and strength to all Christians persecuted for their faith. 🇲🇽 🇺🇸

I really should not listen to this at work. Somehow, my eyes become blurry every time! It was Leonard's masterpiece and these ladies sing it magnificently. It reaches our ears, and goes straight to the soul. Music as it was meant to be.

A beautiful and emotive performance but its just as, if not more beautiful to see the love, emotion and togetherness of the audience. The best of humanity and refreshing to watch after such a tough year.

I love this one

The comedy and happiness is what makes Andre Rieu and the JSO shine so brightly. I rarely laugh out loud but I just can't help myself when I watch their performances, especially when the camera pans to the audience who are doing the same.

The bond between tha artists and the public in these concerts is nothing short of a miracle! I would love to see a performance like this! Much love and thank you Mr Rieu!

Rediscovering André Rieu after some time, and my goodness is this powerful. I have not cried listening to such a beautiful piece in years. Absolutely extraordinary.

I listened to a CBC radio report about Hallelujah, Cohen drafted and redrafted the song 72 times over several years before he was happy with it.

For some reason I feel compelled to say these things: It's okay to have doubts. There is a creator and He loves you but man has hidden him in outward, meaningless rituals (which is the definition of religion). He just wants a relationship with you and he loves you so much and that's why He showed the depth of His love through allowing his son take our place of condemnation just so that we have a restored relationship which was lost. God is not about do's and don't but He is a father who longs to have you adopted into his family which is characterised by love. The masses of religion, begining with Catholic, Hindus, Muslims etc are all seeking to control the soul of man. The creator just wants to be loved and for you to love him and others as well as achieve a peace of heart, mind and spirit. The reason the song touched you is because you have a human spirit, a soul and a body. It touched you because your heard it using your spirit. If you have questions, feel free to ask me.

He has been traveling the world with his orchestra for many years now. He can be a hard taskmaster, because he looks for the best, but also for those who really care for the music. His whole team is excellent and he himself has the gift of inspiring both his own orchestra and the audience. No matter where, he always will be sure to grant one an unforgettable experience.

I enjoyed this so much. The ladies seemed to feed off the audience energy and this became even better. One of the best by Andre' and company (in my opinion)
