An Into to Ski Touring with Daymakers Adapters

Ғылым және технология

Looking to get started with Backcountry skiing? Daymakers Alpine Adapters are the simplest way to start. You can use your current downhill ski gear with plugging this adapter in (that resembles a ski boot) with full touring capabilities, reducing your cost to start to as low as possible.
In this video, professional skier and Daymaker Engineer Giray Dadali (@ahmetsbrother) talks you through putting skins on, using the Daymakers Adapters from putting them on to clearing snow and utilizing the 10 and 18 degree elevator angles. The video also explains basic avalanche terrain protocols, touring pole techniques, backpacks, and keeping your goggles from fogging!
Looking for additional information? please provide feedback in the comments and we will shoot another video to help you out!

Nice Video. I built an adapter myself with the help of a 3d printer. It works really well.

@@cano24dez Frame bindings allow someone to use normal Alpine boots to tour, however if your boot doesn't have a walk mode, you're not going to enjoy it.

Is this a joke? Who’s buying these when there’s so many great options for bomber touring bindings that are cheaper and easier to use. And who taught you to remove snow from your boots?

Someone who is 90/10 resort to touring would buy these. You get to use real bindings for the resort and deal with the adapters on the rare tour day. I'd never settle for frame bindings on the resort.

Cost. With this you could technically not need to buy anything new at all. With the traditional touring bindings you need specialised boots as well.
