No egos, no single lead singer, no harmonica, and NO auto-tune! Tim's bass is legit, and it bottoms out on his 5 octave range. His tenor is just as amazing. Their live performances give proof to their talents, their tight harmonies and stupendous arrangements. I see that other commenters are filling you in on who's who and what, so I'll just say, follow these guys, you won't be disappointed! They are my favorite a cappella group among several very, very good ones. I enjoyed your reaction!

Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. There is not a permanent lead singer in Home Free, but they look (listen) at every song whose voice suits it best. The best harmony, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). .. This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing. Take the time to discover Home Free because it will be a great tour. For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group

Caution - Home Free is highly addictive. They actually sing every genre from gospel to goofy, including an opera aria. They'll always sound a little 'country' 'cuz three of them are from southern U..S. states (Texas, Georgia & Alabama - the other two are from Minnesota). Three of them are song writers, so there are lots of originals as well as covers. Fall down the rabbit hole - it's a truly great trip!

Great Reaction!! That sea shanty your talking about is their Sea Shanty Melody. Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole. The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they can honestly sing any genre and they do They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair ) voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder)in 2016 There is no lead singer they each sing the song ( except Adam the beatboxer) to see who’s voice or voices suits it the best. Adam can sing but he prefers beatboxing to hear him sing listen to How Great Thou Art or kzread.info/dash/bejne/haFl2sqSisy5orA.html They have collaborated with many great singers and legends Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee Billy Gilman:One Voice Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Brooke Eden:Delta Dawn Any many more. They have a very large playlist of covers and Original songs End of the Road: Boyz 2 Men cover When A Loves A Woman Road Sweet Road (original) Dive Bar Saints (Original) Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony) Unchained Melody Listen To The Music When Will I Be Loved Butts Melody/ Remix ( hilarious) Can’t Outrun You Workin For A Livin Hillbilly bone Bone One Man Band Brothers In Arms Stargazer Trilogy( All Originals written by Austin) Give Me A Sign ( Chapter 1) Stargazer Lilies( Chapter 2) MR (Chapter 3) Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft new video game Skull And Bones) Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 155 + catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is Sorry for the long read

Home Free is amazing. Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can go really low and then sing up with the tenors. If you love bass try Brothers in Arms, Helplessly Hoping. There is a new song just released called Skull & Bones that Chance wrote for the game of the same name. Tim goes insanely low in the stage version for the gaming crowd. (Just so you know he cut his hair during Covid and let some gray show). He also does collaborations with Peter Hollens (another great a cappella singer). One with lots of bass is Misty Mountains from the movie the Hobbit. It’s great. Enjoy! Oh forgot, he just did a song Hooked on a Feeling with the group the Bass Gang. It’s tremendous! 🥰

You should hear his speaking voice! 😂 That bass is Tim Foust, who has been known to blow out speakers at shows. Saw them live a year ago at an outdoor venue and he vibrated my feet. Home Free is known for tight harmonies, walls of sound, a beatboxer that is clesrly not human and great sense of humor. They don't take themselves too seriously but the music never suffers. They are called country but can do just about any genre. They also like to keep their fans on their toes, meaning you never quite know what you are getting other than it will be good. I think you would really like their cover of the Doobie Brothers classic, "Listen To The Music".😊

Some call that instrument a jew's harp, some say jaw's harp, and some other reactors call it a didjeridoo or Mongolian throat singing. Whatever name it goes by, Adam Chance does it perfectly. This group is astonishingly and multiply talented, but what really stands out is their *skill. Many have college degrees in music (one in musical theater), many play multiple instruments. At all levels, their musicianship shows what amazing, serious chops they have. Thanks for the great reaction -- hope you will do more! To see how they handle non-country genres, look at "The Butt Remix" (a humorous medley of songs from many genres), and "Helplessly Hoping," a cover of an old CSN song, as well as their brilliant cover of Don McLean's "American Pie", featuring McLean himself. It's a real treat.

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Home Free... They have so much to share with their talents..from opera to jingle bells...the current line up of the members have a love of Faith..Family..and Country... All can sing including the vocal percussionist Adam Rupp.. he's a soprano and you get glimpses of his beautiful voice in a few videos..like.. Listen To The Music 🔥 there he provides floating notes in the begining and later in the song...the No-monica that you just heard..Adam did a short video on how to do it..opening up the soft palate..and the high tenor Austin can do it as well..also all members can do beatboxing to different degrees... The opening and ending notes in this one are of a Jaw Harp..from Adam Chance (called Chance)..and the low note you revisited was him as well.. he's the baritone and does throat singing that gives those notes that 'popping' texture...Chance is the newest member..replacing Adam's brother Chris Rupp..who you'll see in the early videos...Chance favors Sea Shanties and was the one behind the Sea Shanty video which originally was a tick-tock recording during quarantine.. hence the vertical images...just a few days ago they released a song Skull and Bones which will be featured in a game app by fall I think..Chance takes the lead and once again showcases his throat singing in a couple of parts...however..when singing normally..one word describes Chance's tone..Comfort... Our wonderful Bassist is Tim Foust..with a 5+ octave range...Tim loves long walks on the beach.. oops..thats for another article lol..but he does love doo-wop and you can find his channel and listen to Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay where he layers all the tracks to cover all the ranges by himself..a human equalizer if you will... Rob Lunquist our big man is a Tenor as well... he'll take you to church with the redition of End Of The Road 🔥 a Boys 2 Men cover that was praised by Shawn Stockman from B2M..and was also a judge on The Sing Off the season Home Free won... Rob shines in all the videos.. singing opera with Austin and a fun video of Never Gonna Give You Up singing lead and rocking a trenchcoat... That leaves our High Tenor..Austin...a Georgia talent that met the then original lineup on a boat cruise..all were performers... I believe the group hit their lucky stars with his addition...some reactors have called him Jesus..some have called him Shaggy..we call him great...in the video When A Man Loves A Woman 🔥 The final notes give us a taste of his falsetto..leaving us wanting more...shot during quarantine..the set up is different and let's him sing his heart out... As a group..they creat a wall of sound.. instruments are never missed...the humor is front and center...these are great examples of their fun side Butts Melody/Remix Hillbilly Bone Champagne Taste (On A Beer Budget) Full Of Cheer There are way too many to list.. needless to say.. you'll receive many recommendations...like Folsom Prison Blues Ring Of Fire Have fun and welcome aboard...🌿🌿🌿

They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, American Pie featuring Don McLean, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints, The Driver, Crazy and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone and Ray Stevens' Mississippi Squirrel Revival. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Unchained Melody, Listen to the Music, Brother...the list goes on. To switch it up..try Two Country Singers try singing Opera. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

Is this your introduction to Home Free? This was for me too and I was in love with them before the song was half over. And speaking of sea shanties, they just came out with one about 4 days ago. Skull and Bones was written for a video game of the same name by Adam Chance, the baritone in the black vest doing the jews harp sound. It's one of maybe 5 songs the group as a whole perform with instruments. (Going solo or performing with others is a different story.) Chance was the bass in his previous group and he hits those low growly notes alongside Tim Foust. There are 2 videos out; one with just the images from the game and one of the debut of the song, onstage with the images behind them.

The Guys Adam Rupp: beatboxer extraordinaire, tenor/high tenor (mostly harmonies), co-founder, lovingly called The Freak of Nature. Fans are still debating whether or not he is in fact human or alien. Rumour has it he swallowed a drum kit as a child Chris Rupp: baritone(bass at live performances when Tim sings lead), co-founder, left the group in spring of 2016 to do other projects Rob Lundquist: lead tenor, whistler, opera singer and rapper, also known as Gospel Rob or The Beard Austin Brown: high tenor, also does a mean No-monica and other instrumental sounds, aka The Home Free Heartthrob Adam Chance: (or just Chance, not to get the 2 Adams confused): baritone/bass, throat singing, various instrumental sounds (including the mouth/jaw harp in Man of Constant Sorrow), replaced Chris Rupp in 2016 Tim Foust: Legendary Super Bass, also sings baritone, tenor and high tenor whenever he feels like it, does a mean walking bass, can go so low he breaks sound systems and so high people think it’s Austin… Edited to say: great reaction. To hear all their voices except Adam Rupp, try their remake of American Pie with the original singer, Don Mclean. You can hear them all sing, even Adam Rupp, in How Great Thou Art. Adam Rupp has a huge array of percussion and sound effects. He even does a long drum solo in many concerts. Some on YT. He has a very high tenor range, so he can reach the harmonica notes and gets the sound texture by manipulating resonance cavities in his hands and sinuses. I assume a fair amount of pharyngeal twang also. Their "Sea Shanty Medley" is a lot of fun and "Brothers In Arms" is a deep and somber event.

Home Free did their take on the Sea Shanty Medley....and they uploaded it to TikTok for Duets....so you probably heard it in a short, but they also include other sea shanty's in the medley. The bass singer has a 5+ octave range and yes, he can sing that low in full resonance with no filters/gimmicks/processing. Welcome to the rabbit hole!

You should check out a lot more of HF songs. They are EPIC !!! Tim Foust is the bass singer and has a smooth deep tone. Austin Brown is the high tenor, with Rob Lundquist as a tenor also. Then there is Adam Chance, Chance, a baritone who also takes the bass when Tim is in leads, and last the incredible beat boxer Adam Rupp, and no he is not using a harmonica, but rather just his voice. The guy can be ANY instrument you want him to be. Also check out Pentatonix, another a cappella group who are literally out of this world. They put "A Cappella" on the map and took it to a whole other level. The more you do of these two groups the more listeners you will have flocking to your channel. Pick ANYTHING, you can't go wrong and you won't be disappointed. t

Tim, bass, goes even lower in a few of their other songs. Such as Ring of Fire...either the Sing Off version or the version featuring Avid Kaplan.

Tim Foust sings some of the lowest notes you will hear using chest voice and vocal fry. Geoff Castelluci of VoicePlay hits lower notes using a technique called subharmonics. Both are fantastic, as are their respective groups.

I prefer basses who use chest voice & vocal fry like Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. Never cared for the sound of subharmonics. It sounds just like burping low.

Tim Foust has shown bass techniques to Geoff Castellucci. They are good friends and Geoff has arranged a good number of Home Free songs. The amazing thing is that there doesn't seem to be much in the way of competition between the groups. Just wholesome friendship and collaboration. It's a great thing.

This song has become one of my litmus tests for reactors. I see so many reviewers just blow right by that octave drop with nary a comment. That tells me they aren't really listening to the music (or can't comprehend what they just heard) - they are just trolling for clicks. subbed.
