The original from 1913 or Soggy Bottom Boys? Yeah it was made popular in that movie and was great. Love this though. Adam, the beatboxer, is a freak of nature. He can do drums, harmonica, bugs, all manner of noises. Try Adam Rupp Drum Solo on KZread- he’s amazing. Chance, the last guy in the video, did the mouth harp. They can all beatbox to a degree and the lead singer here can also do a harmonica. If you want to hear bass, Brothers in Arms, has Tim going so low…no beatboxing in it but it’s beautiful. Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, One Man Band, Mary Did You Know for more beautiful harmonies. Good reaction guys!

You all need to react to "Brothers In Arms". You will hear Tim Foust the bass singer do his thing. He can also sing high as you will see in "Mayday" and Adam Chance (goes by Chance) is a baratone but can do some pretty low bass. For that you should check out "Mayday." I don't see that you've reacted to Pentatonix, the group who won the acapella competition "The Sing Off" the year before Home Free won. I think you'll enjoy them. Many reviewers start with their first (of three) Grammy winning videos, Daft Punk Medley, or their biggest KZread hit, Hallelujah (over half a billion views). One of their newest hits is The Prayer, off their sixth Christmas album, with almost four million views since October 29. It is destined to be another classic. Another gorgeous Christmas song of theirs from many years ago is Mary, Did You Know. Sound of Silence and Bohemian Rhapsody are also favorites. Home Free supporters are called "Home Fries." Pentatonix fans are "Pentaholics." There is a huge cross-over between the fans of the two groups. Expect a viewing/membership spike if you start reviewing them as well.

Chance, the guy on the left in the back, is a baritone and doing the twanging sound of a jews harp. Of course, Adam does the beatboxing and harmonica. Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range. If you want to hear him get really low watch Peter Hollins and Tim Foust singing Misty Mountains. I looked back over your reactions for the last year and didn't see anything from Post Modern Jukebox. They take modern songs and do them as 40s, 50s, 60s style jazz/blues/big band. I would love to see your reaction to Post Modern Jukebox, featuring Haley Reinhart on vocals, doing Creep or Seven Nation Army. I'm sure you have heard both and you will love the way they do them. Haley is very nice on the eyes which is always a good thing in addition to being a fantastic singer.

Adam Chance, the newest member of the group, (the other Adam, Adam Rupp, is the beatboxer), can make himself sound like a Jaw Harp. Adam, in the opening of the song, is emulating the sounds made by a Jaw Harp, aka Mouth Harp also known by its older anti-Semitic name as a Jew's Harp. A Jaw Harp was/is an instrument often seen and heard in old-timey country bluegrass and folk groups. Example... kzread.info/dash/bejne/kXmO1MqSl5u1j7g.html Some others have mistakenly thought that the sound is like that of a didgeridoo. Both a didgeridoo and a Jaw Harp produce a single note vibration to which the player can change the tone and resonance by manipulating their mouth and throat cavity along with their breath. Some have speculated that Adam Chance makes that sound utilizing a technique like that of Mongolian Throat Singers. In the very last scene of the video showing a group member is Adam Chance as he makes that sound.

Adam is amazing but Austin can do the harmonica sound also. I saw them in concert (for the 1st time) back in October & they performed this song. When Adam started his "harmonica solo", Austin joined him & made it a duet. They did "Ring of Fire" as an encore. When Tim hit that massive low note at the end, I could feel the floor vibrate (everyone was standing) & it made my chest hurt! Oh, and Adam does a "drum solo" in every concert so you can really appreciate his talent! If you get a chance to see them in concert, GO! Check out their version of "Do You Hear What I Hear". It's a bit older but it's great. It was arranged by Adam Rupp so the vocal percussion & beat boxing are really great.

And...more folks fall down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you a chair. You're about to be drowned in Home Fries. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks. Amazing. All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a two-time world champion and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and the man who swallowed a drum kit. For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-harmonica harmonica solo on Working For A Living, and his drum solos. For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome. A basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. For Rob's smooth soul, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) For Austin's soaring tenor, check out Moonshine or When A Man Loves a Woman. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.) For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. For more of their wonderful collaborations, check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.” You are doomed, Home Fries. Bring ketchup.

@@michaelburns7530 Etown is hometown for me, lived here all my life except for college days. Hey I’ll pass the word along about your channel. Try their version of the Johnny Cash classic Folsom Prison Blues. I’m not a country fan but love Cash so was expecting to not like the Home Free version but I loved it! Thanks ❤️

This was really cool, I have seen it before. Love that they make their own sounds for instruments. The way they perform this it just gets in your soul.
