When I quit crying I will comment on these songs. Boy this really smacked me in the face and told me I need to rearrange my life. I know my Lord and Savior sent me this song today to listen to while I make major decisions in my life. Thank you Michael and Amt got sharing these precious songs and your voices with me. It's about 30 years ago, when I gave my life to Jesus. I went away. But over these past days I've returned. And this song did exactly what you've written Teresa. I was crying and was so emotionally touched by that Friends-song.

I'm listening to Michael W Smith and Amy Grant February 2021

We just saw Michael W Smith sing this song in concert at Silver Dollar City, Branson Missouri, June 3, 2023. Michael is 65 years old! Everyone in the audience is about the same! The whole audience stood up when Michael came out on the stage and then the whole audience sat down for the rest of the concert, including Michael at the piano! Us Senior Citizens can only stand up for so long 😂

Friends - this song will always be Amy and Smitty’s song. Find A Way was a breakout song for Amy. I was in high school when it came out. In my 50’s now and I still listen to it. It will always stand the test of time.

Its been 32+ years since I heard these two together in the 1980s. They are still amazing today.

I saw them together (and Gary Chapman, of course) during her Lead Me On tour in Dallas at the now demolished Reunion Arena. The crowd looked about like this one: all the 80's hairstyles and 80' clothes. Watching this was like going back in time. I still think that it is a shame how the Christian music community turned on her and she was "banned" from Christian radio. When our major Christian station in the Fort Worth/Dallas area quit playing her music all of my friends quit tuning in to them. We all called and complained. Michael W. Smith was one that didn't desert her. He lived up to their song "Friends".

2024. These are beautiful songs.

Michael is probably the greatest at least known musician in contemporary Christian music history. He has been so prolific and anointed. Give Glory to God.

wow!!!!! How beautiful!!! To see how young they were and they're still amazing friends. I have someone in my life like her. Even though we are both married and nothing has ever happened sexually between us we are amazing friends like Amy and Michael. Great feeling. This has to be the best version I have seen out of the dozen or so I have seen of them singing it.

I never really listened closely to the lyrics of this song and took them to heart, I lost my husband 2 and half years ago and this song now gives me goose bumps, awe some song

I am a musician myself and that Michael and Amy were always a cut above the majority of secular artists in the worldly realm. Although Michael and Amy were Christian artists they were also artists that were Christians too. Michael wrote most of his songs and Amy just fit in perfectly, Such a musical match made in heaven. It sure is a beautiful song. I used to listen to it every day when I was home and my husband worked. I was very sick at the time. God got me through. I love myself and God. I don't mean to sound shallow,but I am resting.

It's 36-37 years ago the first time I was listening to Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant :) But I still is listening to their music :)

What great times in those early-mid 80s with Amy, Michael W Smith, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Dave and Dan Huff, Chris Rodriguez, Gary Chapman ++ and the production team Blanton Harrell and Brown Bannister could do no wrong. Talent and soul aligned for CCMs greatest era. I miss it so much.

Although I did get a chance to see Michael W. Smith in concert at the Kentucky State Fair in 1997, I wish I had stayed for it to the end, it would have been a very moving experience for me.

Michael's playing a yamaha DX1. DX7's were changing the musical world but that was the flagship of the line. There's a GS2 in the background, which was the previous generation of the same idea. Digital/MIDI were the new buzzwords.

Hmm... Good catch. He switched to Korg I guess ~1990, the 01/W Pro... I actually got a Korg Trinity in 1997. I think Michael switched back to Yamaha about this time or 2000.
