If you walk with God, you will always reach your destination.

When my brother was 12 yrs old he had to have a brain tumor removed from the middle of his brain. This song played over and over as we prayed for his healing. He was never supposed to walk or talk again. 6 months after surgery he was completely normal and now has a beautiful family and finished his 10th triathlon!!!! GOD'S GRACE IS AMAZING!

I first heard the song in 1990 as a 21 year old. It was a fall of Iron Curtain in Eastern Europe where I grew up. This song was played when Billy Graham spoke a Gospel message. It was showing in all cities and venues. Thousands of people came to Jesus. Huge movement! I remember the tears...

Saved since 1978. This song, ah. Thank you Lord for giving us Michael. 🙏

I truly love this song. Ya know, my sister was one of the strongest Christian women I ever knew. As you can see, I'm speaking in past tense. God took her home when she was 32 years old. The same age I am right now. She never lost faith that she would be healed by God's grace and she was... just not in the way that we here on earth had wanted. Sometimes God's ambition is different than our own and that's not always easy to reconcile. Praise be to God that his secret ambition allowed for my sister to meet her heavenly Father and live eternity with Him. As she laid in her hospital bed, unable to speak due to the respirator in her mouth, I promised her I would see her again one day. Thanks to Jesus, I will.

I lost my favorite aunt to bone cancer in 1993. Michael W. Smith was one of her favorite Christian artists. When I hear any of his songs, I fondly think of her and her reading me Bible stories when I was a child..I will see her in Heaven someday! Looking forward to it. ❤❤

I was 6 years old when this was released. The first time I ever saw this video and every time after I cried and cried. I knew at 6 what Jesus did and the profound effect it had on me as a small child stayed with me my entire life. I'm 40 now. I haven't seen this video in over 30 years and I sit here still crying watching this video. The amazing sacrifice of Jesus, and the awesome love of God. Brings me to my knees.

I’m 67 now. I use to take my kids, now 45 and 46, to see Amy Grant and Michael was the keyboard player in her band! A few years later, I took them to see Michael W Smith concerts, when he went off on his own! Still listen to and love the way his music stirs my spirit! God bless ❤️🙏

In my opinion, the greatest Christian music video ever produced. It's not even close. Spoke to me in high school the first time I saw it. And still to this day. Your vision was palpable and heartfelt. And no one has touched it since. Plays today just as powerfully as it did the first time I saw it. Almost 30 years ago. I've been a video editor for 15 years now. And this video, is one of the major reasons why. It inspired me. It still inspires me to this day. Hopefully at some point I can put together something as meaningful as this has been for millions, maybe even billions of people. But count me in as one of them.

This was the first christian music video i ever saw. Through it I came to the understanding of what Jesus went through. It caused me to start searching for God,. through it I came to believe in God and except Jesus as my savior a few years later. I have been a christian now for almost 30 years, and I am eternal grateful to Micheal w Smith for this song and video. to this day I still show it to others. Thank you Micheal, Can't wait to meet you in heaven.

Nobody has said it yet, but my God, Michael W Smith is so hot in this video. Nice arms, great jawline, intense eyes.

This song really touched me when I was a teenager in the 90’s. Made my faith in God stronger. I can see what my Lord and Savior did for me. Also had a crush on Michael at that time lol. I wish they can remake this song.

I'll never forget the first time I heard this song...I was 10 years old and attending a church camp. It moved me so much that I cried and dedicated my life to Jesus. Although it was a long time later until I was baptized and fully dedicated myself to his teachings. This song was what started me on my path to God. Although I deviated from it and left him for a bit, he never left me.

Church camp is the best! I don't have an experience with this particular song there but a particular experience I had once one year (I went every year from 5-15 years old) is what makes me be able to believe in God without question. I had a lot of good experiences there but this one takes the cake. Pastor was right in the middle of her sermon. We were just sitting there listening, nothing intense was happening and out of nowhere we felt it like a warm wind, the spirit moved right through that room and covered us. We were all completely bewildered, wondering if we all just felt that, we all are looking around at each other amazed. It was confirmed what we felt when the pastor immediately stopped preaching, said the spirit is here and we're going to do alter call and have the worship team come back and sing. We proceeded to glorify his name late into the night. Praise be to God, hallelujah! We were drunk in the spirit when church finally ended. Nothing will ever compare to that feeling again. Sometimes I wish it was a little more achievable to feel the spirit move like that at every church service but unfortunately if there are too many hearts closed off to his love, then it just doesn't happen. Sorry for my long comment.

It took me my heart surgery to open my eyes and and then from there I decided to accept Christ at age 13.

The central message of Christ is that he is God incarnate who died as a living sacrifice for our sins and we are to turn away from our worldly desires and accept Christ along with his Word so that we may have eternal life.

It was actually part of the Passion play in Eureka Springs Arkansas back in the day lol.

There was so many in Hollywood who was inspiring like Michael W. Smith is but now Hollywood is a total waste of our time & money. Michael has always encouraged love, compassion, happiness, & being there for our fellow American citizens & children...even our soldiers!!!!! This man will always inspire me!!!!!

Here in Brazil we christians, loves so much Michel´s songs, but i don´t no why this music is not played or known like other of him. The message of this song is powerfull and vibrance.

No matter how often I've heard this song over the years, every time has the same result .The message is truly a powerful 1. My brother and his wife were 'called home ' 20 years ago .And, I know they are safe in God's grace. Rest in peace .Until we meet again.

I love you I say as I lay sobing my head off John 3 :16 I know you have heard it before but I'm gonna say it again if I have the strength I'm just in awe for God so loved the world that he gave his only son whosoever believes in him shall have eternal life.

This song still inspires me -- no one knew Jesus was giving His life way out of love and mercy for us. That's why it's still a mystery to those who are without Jesus why and how his followers can exhibit such devotion, self-sacrifice and unconditional love despite persecution and problems. But, as these saints will say -- as Mother Teresa often did -- it's not us, it's all Him. We're just letting Him shine through.

It's awesome to see that this song has impacted so many lives! Wow! Michael W. Smith is the earliest memory of my childhood. My mom playing his records over and over again when I was like 3. I feel privileged!

Before The Passion of the Christ, this was what I saw when I pictured the crucifiction. Never has a piece of music or video touched my soul. Three decades later, and it still touches me.

I heard this song for the first time at regional band in 1992 my sophomore year of high school. It was also the very first contemporary Christian song I had ever heard. Almost thirty years later and it is still as powerful now as then. Hands down my favorite song of all time.

I was five or six the first time I saw this video, and while I'd heard all my life that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, seeing this, what he truly endured for /me/ stuck with me from that day forward.

I remember going to this concert in the Calgary Jubilee in the late 80's. Michael W. Smith was the opening band for Amy Grant at the time. I did not know who he was but knew about Amy Grant. I was a teenager who was newly saved and thought the world was void of good christian music. Well that changed very quickly with Michael W. Smith opening and I was changed forever. Every time I hear music from this album I get transported back to that time. Thank you Jesus for saving me and changing my life forever! I had trouble finding the album at the time until I found it downtown on 17th at Christian Publications. A vinyl record! May God Bless you Michael and keep you on the straight and narrow.

This is one of my favorite songs that Smitty's ever done. It was also one of the first "Christian rock" tunes I ever heard.

I saw this for the first time as a boy in a youth retreat. It was some time in the late 90s. I'd almost forgotten but I knew it was there somewhere. Mr Smith, thank you then and thank you know for this song. :-)

I first got serious about Christianity when I was 15 (1995). At the time it was very common for Christian youth to get rid of their "secular" music. So I threw away lots of tapes, and cds... My dad had a stash of late 80's / early 90's Christian music and that was all I had for a couple of years. But I really liked this song back then, and I used to get chills listening to it.

I'm young girl, but not matter what, I love Christian flashback!!!!

I was 8yrs old the first time I saw this music video at my best friends house. I remember I burst into tears when they were beating Jesus. Never forgot it! Thank you Michael.....Been saved 24yrs now!

Still one of the best songs and videos. Just finished watching a video by Dr Michael Hieser entitled "The True Meaning of the Gospel. Great talk. It reminded me of this video. Here lately I have been focusing on the simplicity of it all. Jesus loves me this I know and 2 Corinthians 5:21.
