This was the first Amorphis song I've ever heard, in 2001, and still my favourite Amorphis song.

Same here! I saw the video, but didn't remember the name of a band. Then it took me almost two years to find it once again on Viva Zwei. Next day I bought "Am Universum" :) Still one of my favourite bands and songs.

this is simply my favorite song from the band

I remember listening to this song secretly on VIVA POLSKA when I was a kid since I came from a very conservative Muslim North African region (our house was among the first and luckiest ones to have a parabola , my dad brought it from abroad), I always tried to catch it and watch it secretly on the TV, this song sounded so emotional, powerful, melancholic, and rebellious, every time I hear/watch it, I feel like I am that kid on the video, alone, lost, sad and looking for something... I had Anxiety and Hyperactivity with a conservative, severe, uncaring and ironic father, in an 8 members family and an extremely loving and caring mother, in a place where you have nothing much to do and where you get beaten by the teacher in the school, kids in the street and father at home. Now I am a 33 grown-up man, a sound and audiovisual engineer, a Metal Fan, I have my extreme metal project, I produce and release my own records and this song still brings me to tears everytime I hear it.

+Adryael Krow Maybe I am, but what I mean is that in november i had to buy a nightwish concert ticket to get to see a 20 minute set of Amorphis opening for them. I mean with all due respect to nightwish, but i just went for amorphis.

headliners they are, and not as seldom as you might think, for example at the metalhead meating in romania last year - they were the main headliner of the 3-day fest. but to be the main headliner on every fest they participate, that's just simply impossible, even for a band like sepultura )))

Yeah i know, they are perceived as a very high rated Band already, but what I meant was that considering how fucking great their Music is in contrast to other bands, which have much bigger success than them (You know, which bands I mean) then i must say it has very much room for improvement.

This entire album is a masterpiece. The mastering, production, mixing everything just blew me away, still does every time I listen to it.

One of the best songs ever!

Whether Pasi sings in Amorphis, Shape of Despair, or Ajattara, dude brings 3 different vocal styles. Underrated singer, musician.

The flow of his vocals and the instruments are just fantastic

Takes me back to my time in school. Playing pc games all night blasting this album. This one is by far my favourite Amorphis song.

Tomi is, for me, the best death metal singer,but this song is stunning

I love this song,so much emotion in it.It is connected with some hideous memories of mine,but I still love it.

One of the best Amorphis albums, next to Tales From a Thousand Lakes and The Beginning of Times. Hail Amorphis forever!

Well, the band has had three vocalists throughout their career. The first being Tomi Koivusaari who was featured on the bands first three albums. Pasi Koskinen (the one in this video) shared vocals with Tomi Koivusaari on their 3rd release "Elegy". After that Pasi became the bands full time vocalist until he left in 2004, shortly after being replaced with Tomi Joutsen (the one with the dreads) who has been the vocalist for the band ever since.

Oopss...actually four Don't you dare to forget Ville Tuomi the finland's Mike Patton who sang the clean tenor vocals on Tales and was planned to become the first full time singer before Pasi even was in the picture

I love the old and the new Amorphis, the two singers are both great ! The music is different now but it's awesome too :D Amorphis is my favorite band !

My 2nd favorite song since 2006. Hell it has been 15 years since I first heard it!!! How time flies. Everytime I hear it again I feel like im 16 again

Only about a month old fan here but growing still. This is my favorite song on this cd! Pasi's voice on the the chorus is so fuckin badass! Love the dreamy feel of the music too.

These guys are awesome

They are one of the few bands that didn't get worse after they had changed their singer. Same good they are, different athmosphere they have I think. I love Amoprhis anyway.

I fucking love this album. I liked it back when it first came out but kinda forgot about it. Since earlier this year i've been listening to it more and more....at first here and there, and now it's in constant rotation. Not one filler one the whole fucking disc.
