with all respect. Watch at the yt last dvd Amorphis - Forging the land... and look for the "Alone". Tomi sings this much better than Pasi. Maybe 4 years ago not exactly but. Right now, Amorphis with Tomi is damn unique and BEST band.

The original singer has a great natural tone to his voice although he had very little range!! This guys vocals have gotten better tho!!

While I do agree with the people saying that this song is definitely better with Pasi, that's just because his voice is more suited to this song, not because he's a better singer. At the very least Tomi handles this song reasonably well given how massively different his vocal style is. Pasi wouldn't even be capable of singing stuff from Joutsen-era Amorphis

You know, none of these guys doesnt write the lyrics. In Amorphis website reads that lyrics are written by Pekka Kainulainen.

this man's voice is nice but PASI IS GOD, nothing's the same without him. he might not be technically a better singer but his voice's got much more feeling

Elegy, Tuonela and Am Universum will always be the best albums because of Pasi. If Joutsen sang on those albums it would not have bin as good as it is.

@cityofdelain Pasi joined the band ''Shape of Despair'' where he uses very low black metal growls. I'm not sure if you will like him there, it's nothing like his amorphis vocals.

Toni is a better singer overall and an outstanding frontman, but Pasi had that dim aura that Amorphis pretended to transmit with the bone-chilling sound of their music. I love them both. I love this band, period.

I saw them live with Pasi in 2000 and while the band was incredibly tight and inspired, Pasi's vocals weren't very good at all. Plus he looked bored out of his mind, or maybe he was trying to be "intense" or something. Anyhow, saw them again last year with Tomi and WOW!! Much, much better frontman.. better interaction with the audience and he sounded great. He's the total package.

Listnen to Greed there is Pasi growling for Amorphis 😉 But for the most part your right. At least on the first 3 albums it was Tomi K. On Tuonela i think Pasi and Tomi K both had some growls. Not sure though

Well Pasi may be a better growler, and his clean voice are good to (not standard) but Tomi got this special "Deep but still beautiful" and he got emotion in it to, even if he doenst show it with his body expression. But still, everyone got his favourite vocalist ;)

Pasi did not do growls at all, he did only clean vocals and it's ok but amorphis started with nothing but growl, then clean with pasi and now tomi does both perfectly: cleans and growls, and in my opinion amorphis is today better than ever, everything they do are pure gold...keep it up guys!!!

Tomi is great, but so is Pasi. They both have unique sounding voices. Pasi hasn't done any clean vocals since Amorphis as far as I know. I wish he would get back to it.
