I’m 47 and just about to listen to it. The charismatic voice has put me onto Nightwish. I have soooo much to catch up on. I’m a Van Halen die hard first and for most but this is something else 🤯.

I found Nightwish a couple of years ago and I’m still making my way through their albums. they’re amazing. I love how each vocalist has made Nightwish sound a little different. So awesome. We all have our favorites including me. There’s just something about Floor for me. But I honestly do love all 3! And I’m loving this song. Anette sounds great! I barely heard this song in a reaction yesterday and absolutely love it. Nightwish 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Each singer had their own unique voice, Tarja graceful, Anette more mainstream, Floor aggressive, I think what I admire about Nightwish the most, was that Tuomas and the whole band, they didn't try to replicate the same style as the previous singer and tried a new approach. You have to give them credit for that while still making great music, despite it would piss off a number of fans. Tarja songs, Anette songs, Floor songs, I loved them all.

Tarja 100/10 Anette 10/10 Floor 1/10 There's a clear trend with my all time favorite band. The freefall has been absolutely tragic. Dark Passion Play was the last album from this band as far as I'm concerned. And it was quite magnificent. Everything after that... Diarrhea...

I agree. I just got an old guy; i think he was like 70, in my store which i just should show our new music box to, and he saw my tracks and said: "nightwish, that´s some good stuff to know if this sounds good" I was really happy about that :D Nightwish is just such a great and creative band.

Part of it was that this song was one of two on Dark Passion Play that were addressing the bad blood Tarja left the group with.

Everybody allways talks about the female singers in nightwish , but can we also please not forget the awsome male backup vocals ! :) The contrast between the two makes the whole song so much better.

Floor singing "Alpenglow" live at Wembley gives me goosebumps every time ❤

About the best studio recording I have heard from Nightwish, and I like all their songs.

I love so many Nightwish songs but this is still my favorite. The heaviness and the mix of vocals makes it perfection in my mind.

I love Anette´s verses, the melody is beautiful. And the sound really fits the subject of the lyrics. Solid.

IMO, Marko's most powerful chorus. What a neck wrecker. Makes his departure sting that much more.

Honestly I am happy both Tarja and Annette are making really good solo music. No freakin clue what Nightwish is doing with Floor. She is extremely talented but she sings like she is on autopilot on like every new song they've made on the last two albums except for the first single from the newest. It's sad and wierd, like they just don't give a crap and just are cash-grabbing now. Storytime to me started to go downhill, dark passion play and once were the best. before we also had such good with oceanborn and century child plus the ep (with over the hills and far away).

Surely but the voice of Floor beats Annette and Tarja, she can sing whatever she wants 🤟

Anette's era was short but it is memorable,her vocals always will be in DPP and Imaginaerum and this will remind us how beautiful voice she has and how she has helped NW to grow more in that era. NW is what it's today because of Sami, Tarja, Anette,Jukka and Marco, great singers, great musicians all of them so must respect their past members. I still follow Tarja and Anette, they doing fantastic careers,i hope the same to Marco which i will support him too. Nightwish is an amazing band, still has fantastic musicians and singers and a great composer plus songwriter, Tuomas Holopainen is the master mind of NW and only if he wants to stop, NW will have an end.

Yep, seven years it isn't short,it was short in albums,i wanted one more album with her and a blue ray. Sometimes hurts to remember that period 😞.

I appreciate all versions of nightwish... But none would exist without marko. He stands above all.

I remember becoming a fan of this band when I was 10 years old. I'm 23 now and love it more than ever. Nightwish is by far the best band I've ever heard!

What a great time with Anette, i love her voice.

Anette sings this very well and has the voice for it ! I remember the all girl band Bangals of the 1980's and sounded just right!

All three ladies sing superb but each has own style and the nuances match perfectly!

14 years ago, and still like recently released!!! Never get tired of listening 🎶!!!

16 years down the road this song is so fitting on so many levels.

My favourite Nightwish song ever. Loved Annette.

Anette is a type of agent and she was selected for her voice (because it matches mine the most) to be the 2nd NW singer and sing all these songs that contain secret references to me and to Chip, and to sing the songs Eva and Cadence Of Her Last Breath and Whoever Brings The Night and Sahara etc that were written about me, and they also wanted me to train my own voice by singing along with Anette's voice in the background, which is how one develops the correct belting technique that only Anette and a few other singers were taught, while most singers were taught incorrect techniques, and she has the best known voice in the music industry -- while I have the best voice in the world!

The presence of Annete, at that time, gave Nightwish different sound. They are adaptive, and thats good, since every songs with Annete is totally rocks ! Well Annette is the least popular vocalist in Nightwish, but her two albums with Nightwish was awesome. She can be proud of it. Nightwish however, can be proud too.

You know what, I love Anette for taking this huge, self explanatory mission that she did. Because she did good, even though she wasn't ever any replacement of Tarja, but she wasn't bad either. Anette's vocals are different from Tarja's indeed but Tuomas chose her because he wanted different music and Anette was great in DPP and imaginaerum and i am thankful for that,i love these albums. DPP is the best selling album still today. We compare apple, orange and banana, they are different but tasteful all of them.

Nightwish is a badass band no matter who the lead singer is. Toumas is an F- ing genius and the rest of the band is a gestalt entity that transcends the mundane top 40 bs. Amazing music.

I know this song is an insult to Tarja from the band, but trying to compare the three singers is really futile... Tarja's voice is more operatic, and she has a vocal range of three and a half octaves. Annette's is more pop and rockish in sound, but Floor has and can do the same as both of them... They all have their own unique style though, and no singer is better than the other.

I'd really admired the girl's who'd played the keyboard, she'd not just had the talented but also the she'd expressed her feelings by her faced.

Funny thing is that it suddenly turns epic when Marco starts singing.

Enjoy it friend, also discovered the band about 1.5 months ago, can't stop listening. Check out "Last Ride of the Day" and "Dark Chest of Wonders" , two of my other favorite Nightwish songs :D

I have been listening to them for years. A truly amazing band. Their new stuff is on point as well with Floor. As a suggestion check out Terra Sancta, is a duet with Floor and Simone Simmons and also Shoemaker (song based on a geologist called Eugene Shoemaker.) Incredible stuff!

I remember when they had just released this one. It seems as though it was yesterday. Time is killing me.

That album is basically a masterpiece, at least one of their best albums!

Same here. I’m a Guitarist. I usually just listen to guitar covers to learn some techniques, but this is amazing. Except I have been playing for just a few months, and I’m just 11.

Love 💓 this song always, love Annete's voice and era. DPP still is a very great album 👍 and well selling album of NW. 121 millions views !!! Annete you must be proud and respectful, NW fans Indeed love your job in NW.

First song I ever heard by Nightwish whom I have never heard of until about a year-and-a-half ago and I am 41 years old! I'm from the states and we just don't have this kind of metal over here. European metal is so far superior to metal the u.s. there are no words to describe it.

Going to miss Marco. Everyone keeps saying what will happen to nightwish once he leaves. He wasn't there at the beginning and people loved those albums so I guess it will work but will be weird at first. Hope he is in good health and wish him all the best ❤️

This is truly wonderful. I might've just discovered my new favorite band!

all 3 singers were great with their own songs written especially for them, tarja couldnt sing annette songs and annette couldnt sing tarja songs, floor is somewhere in the middle she can do both at a certain degree with her own powerhouse style. annette songs were light, bright and subtle so when floor sings them it doesnt really instill the same feeling a bit like Disturbed covering 'sound of silence' great in a different sort of way. i like all 3 as they all bring a different sound. all the haters of annette, are you really saying DPP and IM were crap albums? Is this why theres 98mil views lol

Love Anette Olzon - she gets a lot of stick, but is such a good singer, and appears on my two favourite Nightwish albums.
