It’s way too all over the place. Too many tired cliches. Evil nazi scientist, devil possession, and then they really felt the need to bring in aliens. I’m sorry but if you think this is the best season it’s more of an indictment of your poor taste and enjoyment of cliches tbh

I binged this season. When I was done, the name Lana Winters haunted me for nearly a month. I'd think about her while awake and when sleeping.

I love this scene where her own inner demons are calling out to her telling her she wasn’t as big of a victim as she thought

Um, she was? She was literally imprisoned against her will in an asylum and later a serial killer who raped her repeatedly. Wtf do you mean less of a victim?

@@roseg2239 yes she was, but she herself is doubtful about that. Please learn to read subtext. Nobody is saying she wasn’t a victim. The character herself is questioning if she’s a victim or not.

Lana is sooo adorable, especially when she speaks. Her honey-sweet voice, coupled with her dreamy lisp, is music to my ears. My heart melts at the very sound of it. She sounds just like an angel singing. I'm lost in love and I don't know much! 💕💕💕💕

lana winters was a brilliantly done character, and this scene was my favourite of hers. her trying to make her trauma more marketable, trying to turn something awful that was done to her into a story she could profit off of while also grappling with the guilt of not telling the full truth and abandoning some of the people she promised to help. because the truth would have meant that cruel, terrible things were done to her for no reason and nothing good ever came of it because the audience wouldn't enjoy it. it also meant she ended up doing the same thing briarcliff did, twisting the narrative so her 'message' was simpler and her protagonist was more digestible to readers. it's not told in the show, but i would LOVE to hear how lana discussed people like kit and shelley in her book and in the interviews. did she tell shelley's story about sexual liberty like she asked, or did she just tell horror stories about what dr arden did to her? did she mention that initially she was suspicious of kit because of his stories about aliens and ruined his escape, or did she paint kit as perfectly rational and herself as perfectly right?

American Horror Story has some pretty questionable protagonists, but at the same time, it's villains are just the worst.

wendy and thredson are both just lana’s guilt talking though wendy died and lana obviously hadnt written a book yet so theres no way wendy ever actually felt that way, if anything she probably wouldve understood and been okay w it since the entire first episode wendy showcases how paranoid she is of being outed and losing her job

I actually liked that they made her briefly bitchy before the finale, it made her character seem more flawed, which meant she felt more human instead of a perfect mary sue who escaped and survived like a common movie or series hero.
