I was in Katrina in New Orleans and I know what martial law and curfew is. In martial law, citizens are not allowed to take their weapons outside their homes. The thing we must all be aware of is that revolutions are very rarely two sided conflicts. More often there are multiple factions who are fighting the dominant force. The problem there is that individual factions will most likely turn on each other as well if the common goal isn't clearly agreed upon. I know that Google is a public company, but that doesn't really mean that it is controlled by the people. And you couldn't trust the government with something so politically influential. Declines in birth rates follow increases in the standard of living. That's why places like the US and Europe have either stable (replacement) or negative birth rates...unless things have changed.

Rachel Brown I can’t speak for other people, but I don’t think I know anybody who doesn’t at least listen to some punk. You definitely do know people who listen to punk music, you just don’t know that they do. I also don’t think punks all have just one ideology at this point, but it definitely started as a very literate and progressive movement in the US, UK, Australia and South America. I mean, there is literally all different kinds of punk from all different eras that represent different things. So it’s hard to pin down. The right wing punks are usually just fucking dumb Nazis. As with any specifically right wing style of music. To me, punk is more of a certain attitude of independent thought and style concerning the way you make art. Usually that means you aren’t a an accelerationist who wants to kill brown people and fracture the world any further than it is.

It talks about how all empires are cyclical, and shows how the end stages of the Roman Empire, particularly the attitudes of the people, and the politics are comparable to what is going on in the world at the moment. A piss poor educational system is as much to blame as any corrupt politicians. Parents that allow a socialist education system to raise their children unchecked has lead to what we now have in this country. A political system that encourages anyone over the age of 18 to vote regardless of their ability to do so in a responsible informed manner. Most voting today is based on name recognition more than that candidates record or qualifications. The poor vote for the candidate that promises them the most, the rich vote for the candidate that promises them the most tax breaks etc. There should be mandatory term limits, like the President on all Senators and Representatives at every level of government and anyone chosen to represent any state in DC should be appointed by the State legislature and subject to recall at anytime for not voting as that state legislature deems fit for the betterment of that state. The average citizen is no longer smart enough to vote on any national election except a Presidental election. Who ever is elected President, the person he ran against should automatically become the VP.

Enjoy the great taste of Simple Rick's! What you said sounds reasonable until you realize that every system with staying power has built in ways to escape said system. Going and being 'self-sufficient' doesn't hurt the government or society, it shuts you up and takes you out of the conversation. Whatever parts of the government you oppose only benefit from your withdrawal. Be 'self sufficient' all you want, but know that no successful or happy human has ever achieved anything alone. Just whatever you do stay engaged too.

But i do know that self sufficiency isnt as comfortable and is not a lifestyle that will satisfy all which is how government has been able to grow so large. So self sufficiency and government are not at all antithetical. What I'm gathering from what you're saying is that you don't like the idea of government interference and want to live off the grid and just not participate. The thing is that if you do that then you don't participate and the government stays shit rather than potentially doing something to help you. Whatever group you think is ruining government only does so because upset people go be 'self-sufficient' rather than organize their community. So to be clear you said 'definitely agree' then followed it by disagreeing and talking about a false dichotomy between comfort and freedom.

I guess to be more clear on my original statement, I was saying that the problems that they are referring to are either directly or indirectly the result of the widening inequality gap, which is worsened in part by globalist policies aimed to outsource production overseas, in the name of generating capital (capitalism). The inequality gap is worsened in more general terms by trickle down economic principals, which are the backbone of capitalism. I appreciate the response and I have no problem engaging in a friendly debate on this

Well, It seems that if the government sets any regulations for the private sector, the "Right" are quick to call it socialism. My dad and all the other conservatives started calling Obama a socialist and a facist. This left right paradigm is just American corporate subversion. Gay marriage, and abortion are ethical issues that get a lot more attention than let's say a computer manufacturing company who sends all their manufacturing, IT, and phone technical support to India, Phillipiines or China, so they increase their profits in ridiculous ways. I am sure there are people who control western and eastern governments, who would like to take action on the fact we have a lot of people on the planet now. But before that, exploit the have nots who live in heavily populated Asian countries to make every bodies electronics for almost nothing. I hear a lot of griping about global warming. Hey, I got news for you, the technology is there to never have to use oil to power machinery like cars, boats, and airplanes of any capability that can travel across the planet without even stopping to refuel for many years. Something needs to be done about current paths my country (USA) is taking, who they are electing (most people have no idea who their state, county or city elected officials are, nor do they know them or have met with them). And what's worse is that most of the people, even knowing that there are more than two presidents running for president on election day, still feel the need to either pick the republican or democrat simply because they were able to debate and had our major news networks backing up there political agendas. The bums can be voted out.... There doesn't need to be any revolutionary war. People just need to be tired of the right left paradigm before we can start doing anything about it. Oh, and they have to not be afraid of voting outside of it either. Why are we a police state? There is a pretty easy answer to this question as well. We've legislated ourselves out of many of our rights. A lot of places with petty laws and heavy police presence are put there as a result of a public that has made absurd city ordinances, curfews, marijuana possession and other schedule 1 substance laws mixed with corporate county and state corrections facilities. There are people in jail right now that don't belong there, and there are even more that really do but they had money to buy a fancy lawyer to get the penalties reduced and are now walking our streets . Not mentioning names on youtube but I am specifically talking about someone I had the displeasure of meeting, who was caught trying to have sex with a minor under the age of 10. His lawyer worked out a deal for him where this dude gets three years of felony community control with an ankle monitor. When I found out about this I didn't want to be seen anywhere near or knowing the person, especially being seen by neighbors who in turn will inform the police and probably send them pictures of you and your license plate and or other people that come over there for any reason whether they knew about this mans current legal predicament or not. Change isn't really all that far off. Changing our current government by putting in a different branch in the executive government will would be a pretty amazing feet, and it would take a lot of people to become educated quickly about what really is going on around them. There would need to be proof and quite frankly, I don't think anybody is quite there yet as far as making these changes on a national and state scale. But there will be a time when it happens and those who can do something about it will be strong enough to
