Haven't watched the whole video yet, but the editing is sooo interesting. Sort of a modern version of old-school radio storytelling (the way she reads, her tone of voice, the calming graphics, instead of the flashy, fast, dramatic cuts and special effects to gain your attention and overestimulates your brain - used everywhere and by everyone, due to the short attention span everyone is suffering nowadays) + journalism of top tier quality! And not to mention, this is an absolute dream for every online content manager, 'cause it can be reused for podcast, radio, and not just KZread, IG/Tiktok, etc. Wow. Just wow.
To anyone confused it's a podcast that has been reformatted for KZread. If you prefer you can just listen to this as a podcast but this version takes advantage of being a video by adding content that you don't see in the podcast.
Ok. I wasn't expecting that. Well done. You have my attention now.

I also knew an Indonesian writer/journalist and later well known as the host of the culinary TV program "Wisata Kuliner" writing on the same topic about Bre-X and de Guzman. The video story reminds me of the works by Bondan a long time ago.

This is a strange format. I thought it was a video. Then I thought it was a podcast and then random visuals show up. You don’t know what to expect 🤦♀️

In 1996, I could see the giant Bre-X gold sign on their 3 story building from my Calgary apartment. People were still making money off this scam even after it was revealed as such. But then I visited the buzzing Enron trading floor in Houston in 1998. Is it the Canadians?
Yea... actually the dude is still alive, last seen in the Philippines. A lot of people old enough and specializing in mining sector stocks know he's still alive. Apparently a few geologist with a few stock analyst saw him in a dinner and everyone stood up and clapping
I see from the comments the whole story isn't told here. The video leaves everyone wondering what happened. No thanks, I won't waste my time. I always check the comments before I watch the video, I'm not wasting that kind of time for half a story, and I appreciate the comments giving us a heads up.

I just finished listening and watching this thing. It answered absolutely nothing. What a waste of time. This is like a click bait video. Don’t waste your time. You would expect the BBC to at least be a bit professional. 😡

@daveselbow9128 I'd be willing to bet this is a story of fraud. The constantly improving core sample reports brought me to the conclusion of malfeasance. Smarter frauds might've submitted one or more unfavorable reports to lend credulity.
This is the stupidest format for a video. What i would expect from a mainstream media source

It's a podcast, minimally repackaged for YT. To those who didn't know about the story, it's the equivalent of reading a long article. Given the true shape of our planet, it's wild to behold stamped feet about the pettiest of things.
