America CAN'T Compete with China's Infrastructure!

America CAN'T Compete with China's Infrastructure!
In this video, I'm sharing why America can't compete with China's infrastructure. China has years of experience building world-class metro systems, and America simply can't match that level of expertise.
Perhaps the most striking example of this is the Shenzhen Metro. The Shenzhen Metro is a massive underground transportation system that stretches for over 300 miles. The Shenzhen Metro is a stunning example of Chinese infrastructure and it's clear that America simply can't compete.
Today we will be checking out the impressive Gangxia North station and a few other stations along line 14 of Shenzhen's amazing subway system. How does it compare to New York's subway? well it's simply uncomparable. America just can't compete.

Nah. They never will. Neither will Europe. Why? Well, mostly because we just have different discipline. If you look around in western cities, chances are you'll find waste or graffities in less than 4 seconds. In China, people were properly raised. They think it is bad to throw trash on the ground etc. With this cultural difference, we can never achieve to come close. The average westerner is not as hard working as the average Chinese. Not making assumptions based on the individual, but group. We'd first have to discipline our population before we can even dream to get where China is right now. It won't happen though, we are just too hostile and chaotic to do it. Sad, but true.

@@harimakenji7608 Of course it counts - it all counts. People are not complaining about why western media doesn't just "randomly" talk about pretty things in China - people are questioning why the only thing we see in western media are negative things about China. I think the answer is obvious - China got a lot of things right, and the proof is there right in front of our faces! Instead of looking how China has managed to deal with homelessness, western media tells us that the Chinese "hide their homeless" 🤣 Instead of looking at how China has transformed its cities within a 30 year period, western media tells us that Chinese buildings are falling apart. Instead of looking at China's sensible approach to preventing a property/housing bubble built on speculation, western media tells us the real estate market in China is collapsing. What China has achieved in a mere 30 years is nothing short of breathtaking, yet western media will only focus on small irrelevant negative things and will blow them out of proportion as though it's a major crisis in China. China's infrastructure (which is what this video is about) is a perfect example of how China gets so many things right.

As a German geologist, having traveled the world during the past 45 years because of my job, may I share a little observation? It's not only the US that can't compete with China anymore. It is the whole western world, including Europe, that won't be able to compete not only with China, but with South East Asia in general. The pendulum has swung, against the old colonial powers, of which the USA is just an offspring,....towards Asia and perhaps sooner or later South America. I have seen the poverty in those countries.....and I wish all of them very well! Cheers from Berlin

Our tax intake is lower, our wealth and GDP per capita vastly higher. We can do what China does in a heart beat, we choose not to because that is what capitalism incentivises unto us in our part of the world. In China, capitalism does what the government tells it to, in the west, capitalism is left to do whatever it wants to... "In China, you cannot change the politicians but we change our economic policies to meet the needs of our people. In the west, you change your politicians all the time but never the economic policies to meet the needs of your people" - Chinese diplomat in the UK a few years ago. Meanwhile: "Democratic elections must never be allowed to alter economic policy" - Wolfgang Schäubles to Yanis Varoufakis in 2015. And people wonder why the west is in decline. It is in decline because of capitalism and the capitalist minority that own our governments. If they tried to do in China what they do here, they would be shot, figuratively speaking.

@@weizhang2834 I would go about it more scientifically. US now has 15 cities having metro and it has 1/4 of China's population. Therefore if China were as developed as the US in metro then there should be 60 cities with metro. Since China has metro in 51 cities so to add metro in another 9 cities will match the US, The number of metro systems depends on also the cities configuration, population and layout, I think the number of metro systems in China is about right and China may add more metro when the cities are ready for it.

People are one important aspect. Vandalism is a huge problem across many US cities. Even if America would build such beautiful subway stations they would wear down very fast. Lots of camera surveillance, good education and harsh punishment prevent these kind of problems.

OMG I ACTUALLY LIVE HERE IN SHENZHEN!!! my family and i actually tried line 11 when the construction first finished. that was many years ago, but i remember being astonished to see the metro train in Shenzhen to travel above ground for the first time and feel just how fast the train was... and this is line *14*, which i've never even heard of before! i usually only take lines 1-4, some of the oldest lines of the city. Gangxia North has always been on line 2 and i have been aware of the station for a long time, but i've been completely oblivious to this massive project underway! i think i'll have to stop by there someday... :) now most stations i've been to are not as big as an airport like Gangxia North (most stations don't connect FOUR lines after all), and things like being able to charge your phone and autonomous driving are definitely recent additions. but two things are for certain: the stations are very clean, and the trains are completely sealed from the platform like at 4:53 (except for a tiny gap -- which the radio constantly reminds you to watch out for). i'm not sure how subways in other places are like, but either way i think safety is a pretty important part. either way the Shenzhen metro has undoubtedly undergone lots of changes in the past 4-5 years... before i thought they were just building more lines and stations (while turning our metro into the confusing mess that is Hong Kong's metro 😅), but i'm glad to learn today that it was more than that.

The only reports about China either diaster, unrest, demonstrations or bad news. While America is currently out of control for the corruption and crimes and mass shooting killing Americans almost everyday. Domestic terrorists are increasing as the result of Trumpublican and Republican supporters want to steal power from Democrats. The country is concentrating on weapons trading than fixing infrastructure and well being of citizens. Let me check: China’s modernization vs America’s modernization. As a result, America’s modernization have failed not only once but many times, so there is still the chance of poverty today in America-the poorest city is Camden, New Jersey for instance, where many people are as very poor as we think. Also, the United States’ future may be too slow. On the other hand, China has no doubt been the best country to develop the global future that has been extremely rapid. Europe is impacted by communism, people don't realize the truth of it. They pretend to pay and we pretend to work. China is far away from any communism it can be. West lived through a world war who depleted resources, developed weapons who created a feeling of doomsday. This is what role USA would take part. I'm american, always been in america and grew up thinking it was the cream of the crop. Until I started working for the grand canyon railway in a small route 66 tourist town just south of the grand canyon. A town I lived in for many years since a teenager. I dealt with people from all over the world constantly and the asians would tell me in their own way that america is much behind where they came from. My last girlfriend was Japanese and her mom had lived in japan most her life and she would tell me the same thing basically. I started watching KZread videos from different cities in China and Tokyo about 2 years ago and was pretty surprised at just how far behind america is from those places. America is archaic in comparison. If you dropped me off in Tokyo tomorrow, I would stay there forever. Same with many cities in China. Our media fills our heads with nonsense about China, the people there all seem to be living perfectly happy lives in every video I've seen from there, yet I turn on the news and hear about how bad it is for the people there and how horrible of a place it is. America and the western world in general is being purposely destroyed from within by its enemies from long ago, who infiltrated their governments long ago. Wasn't tough for them to do considering they own the banks and control the wealth. But anyway, stick around, China is going to win it all.

I highly appreciate bro u being honest in telling truth. It is really futuristic and if u come to India and see metro stations u will definitely say,' wow it looks built around 500 yeara ago' ..😂😂😂😂

You are telling the damn truth. I live in Ontario, Canada and one thing I hate to do is to drive on the Highway 401. There are car crashes and jams every day. Typically you will have to spend more than one hour for a 40km trip. But you have to drive on it because you don't have an efficient public transportation system as a choice.
