Hi Cresent, great teaching mate. I am a newby and started in march and bought a course as well and watched JS academy videos and I was still struggling on product research on JS. None of them taught this well and in detail and its a shame JS dose not teach this well in their own channels. I have now understood quiet well and feel the struggle is over. Yes, anyone can just randomly choose a product to sell, however finding a viable with the most potential to be profitable and sustainable takes time and patience. That's why most people fail. Each one of my products took over 2 months to find and validate.

@@danieloke9559 Hello. Did you buy the combo or just the web app? The web app and chrome extension are separate. If you bought the combo, then make sure you're logging in with the email/password you used to create the JS account. If that's not working, contact JS support.

Crescent Kao I bought the $169 one which I believe it’s the combo. I was asked to download the extension using google chrome which I did but I was not able to analyse my product search because I couldn’t find the jungle scout extension link on my Amazon page. I have not registered as a seller yet because I want to equip myself with all the vital information to help me succeed.

Click on other products that catch your eye instead of starting from the product database. Each time you move farther away from the original product you found in the product database is one level deeper.

Question for you. After watching your first video on product research in 2017 you mention the 999 cart rule. However, in this video, you don't bring that up. Is that no longer needed? Do you not need to track a product for a week to see how many are truly selling? Also, how do I go about making my pictures larger when I search through JS?

Don't use the Opportunity Score, always analyze the actual data.

On junglescout: I don't get one thing. Do you actually buy the product from the competitors you track? Or you have to find the original supplier?

If it's a patented product, no. If its a generic product, you can rebrand it. That's what private labeling is.

From my own research and checking with other sellers, you'll find that some tools will be more accurate in one niche whereas another tool is more accurate in another. All the tools have their own algorithms and are giving estimates and no one tool is more accurate across all the products on Amazon. The idea isn't to necessarily get pinpoint accurate sales data. All the tools will give you the same consensus for sales velocity (daily and monthly) when analyzing the niche. What you're looking for is if the sales volume meets your target or not. All the tools will give you the same results even the numbers are off slightly from listing to listing within each niche.

The listings on the first are your direct competitors. 99% of the other listings aren't selling well or the sellers aren't actively trying to sell the product. 70% of all online sales happen on the first page.
