Jocelyn is solely HER daughter. That monster may have made her, but in those moments when he was raping her and getting her pregnant, little did he know he was killing himself. He was contributing to his own demise. In those moments he gave her the very thing that would make her have that drive to fight for their freedom. He created Jocelyn too but that girl is definitely not his daughter. When he created her, he destroyed himself.

I read her and Gina's first book. Can highly recommend it . But for now I'd say, lets let her focus on her daughter, education and career:) Clearly, she is very intelligent and will get there I'm sure!

These women are absolutely unbelievable. So truly beautiful and inspirational. They are angels, there is no better word to describe them than that. They have changed my life, all the way from Ireland. I thank whatever God is out there for the chance to hear their story and they will always have a huge place in my heart and thoughts.

Because that's all I see, as sad as that might be; you know who you should really idolizing? Erica Pratt, a 7-year old girl who was kidnapped, bound and isolated and chew through the duct tape around her mouth and wrists and escaped in less that 30 minutes; she was a true admirable hero, not this worthless bitch Amanda Berr, fuck her.

I know Amanda completely wanted to move on from (Michelke Knight), Lilly Rose, but I think deep down inside she will be in her heart forever, cause Lilly saved Amanda's daughters life. The baby life was all in Lilly's hands & she managed to make things happen. I hope one day she moves on with whatever is causing her to not want anything to do with Lilly. These are 3 strong girls who can overcome anything.

I just am so happy even though it's been about 5yrs ago. The thought they were lured, tricked, trapped and held in captivity, raped and literally held against their will for sex slaves, lives threatened daily. Michelle needs more support, she had it worse throughout the entire experience, she lost her son, her mom was a complete flake & not even concerned or looking for her.. Michelle never had one single candle light ceremony of people praying for her. The other 2 girls got to watch the news & see thier parents still looking for them (that is great) but Michelle had no one! It's so sad, then after the girls were rescued, the other 2 girls had thier families for support & a home to live. Michelle was on her own & still in search for her son Joey. Joey was adopted while Michelle was being tortured, when she finally set free.. Joey's adopted patents denied her any communication with her son, not even a picture of him!! SO SAD! I feel awful for the other 2 girls as well or anyone who went thru anything similar, but.. *PLEASE SAY PRAYERS FOR MICHELLE, SHE GIVE ALL CREDIT OF HER SURVIVAL TO GOD, HE GOT HER THRU & SHE STAYED STRONG WITHOUT FAMILY OR FRIENDS!!* Her abuser would tell her, no one is looking for you! I might be wrong but people said the one of the houses or both right next to that house were vacant, but still it's baffling no one on the neighborhood saw fucking doors agains't the windows and thought nothing of it. Same with his family, fuck them. One of his grandchildren saw the girls CHAINED, told her mom (castro's daughter), they asked him, he said he might have dreamt it, refused to show them the basement and yet they decided to not press the issue further. They could have put and end to it and yet...

Because he had the rooms padded and boarded up. He told neighbors it was for his music. And he always had music playing so the girls couldn’t hear when he had people over and they couldn’t hear them. One of the neighbors said he thought he heard girl’s voices occasionally but never put it together thinking it was a tv. Especially since he was a normal guy. He didn’t give off any creep vibes.

I guess we will never know why they all 3 never stayed as friends, but to be fair maybe it's because they all just don't want to be with each other. They all went through a lot, and probably just want to to move on with their lives. And I guess maybe they aren't friends because Amanda and Michelle just never talked in the house, it was mainly her and Gina. But we will probably never know what really happened and why they don't talk to each other.

Michelle got treated and beaten the worst, delivered her child, and Amanda and gina got new clothes and food and got to shower every week. I haven't heard not one question about how they got along ,or how they felt about one another. Regardless of the fact they were ALL held against their will,doesn't mean that they should've gotten along well. have any of you read the book? From the beginning, Amanda was kept from that, when she first entered Mishelle's room, she said rudely that it smelled like a hamster's cage! when she started giving birth, Castro went to get Mishelle and Amanda was furious because she did not want her in childbirth in the second book of lost girls it was written that Amanda was isolated and did not realize that those girls were going through hell and were being beaten, starved and raped, and she did not believe in that. she called Ariel a wonderful father (a wonderful father kidnaps a 14-year-old child ?? and kills 5 children in her stomach ??) sick madwoman, even Gina wrote that she had had enough, they were treated as zeros and servants, while Amanda and ariel lived like a family 🤢🤢 Amanda she didn't have to do anything! They gave each other good-night kisses, she wrote that she was jealous of him and wanted to be with him. If she could go to prison after escaping and marry him, she disgusts me and is not a heroine, but a mean bitch.

While very sad & tragic, Michelle's book felt more personal to me and the writing style very down to earth. I felt like I could connect to her. Michelle had somebody else work with her on it but Amanda & Gina actually had 2 other co-authors on their book. While the story certainly provides details & more background information on Castro, I found it a bit more detached and the narrative also spun a bit against Michelle in certain places. I was not too happy about that.

Yeah, definitely, but I really don't believe it's Michelle. I think for whatever reason Amanda does not like her. Michelle has always been receptive to reconnecting with the other girls after healing but Amanda has expressed she is not interested in that at all. Apparently, she said there were no hard feelings between them but she does not want to see Michelle again because they are just "2 different people." Not sure about Gina, though. What's weird is Michelle & Gina were the ones close in the house because of being chained together, sharing a bedroom for years, and witnessing each other's abuse. They called each other & talked on the phone alot after their rescue and then suddenly, Michelle was asked for space. I had heard it was actually Gina's therapist who recommended that all contact with Michelle be cut for healing, they were too attached? Still, it must feel quite hurtful to Michelle that Gina & Amanda remain in contact while she is left on the sidelines. Michelle does a good job at remaining positive and respectful, wishing them the best, but she is only human. Rejection is hard.

Michelle mentioned that she and Gina were close as they shared a room and were often chain up together. The monster pitted them and played them by making up lies that turn them against each other. In the book and interviews they mentioned that there are plenty of resentment and jealousy going on in the house.

No she never did. And she was in just the room 24/7 during the beginning then they were all let out to clean, and cook, and things like that. Then she was let out more in the house because she was the favourite out all of them, also because she was the one who had his kid.

And she claimed she held her three month aborted fetus as if it were a fully formed fetus when at three months a fetus is the size of a peanut.
