My grandma hid a pregnancy from all her children .. her 6th baby was put up for adoption (biological dad knew)...this was a long ongoing affair to which my grandpa and biological grandmother had 5 children .. my dad did ancestry dna with my mom just for fun and he found out he had another 100% biological brother . We found out March 2018 and we met him April 2018. The siblings were not extremely young or anything. Still had no clue. Anyways , he’s amazing and so glad we have him in our lives!!

My mother hid SIX pregnancies by SIX different men! My oldest sister and I were not adopted but we were raised in different countries by different people. We are all from Massachusetts. I have found four of my siblings that were placed for adoption.

My brother was adopted in 78 by my dad and his 2nd wife. Fast forward to now. They find out the mom and dad had 11 children. I think 13 total. The dad is mentally challenged. He found a sister who knew another brother. In 00 I move to Tulsa with my aunt. I lived 5 blocks from my brothers sister and even road the school bus with her and had no clue. In Dec of 2018 I gained more siblings. I love my bubba and am happy to accept and love this bio siblings. I pray he feels complete. And we find the other 11 ish kids. In 02 I ended up being adopted myself. I knew my bio family but I understand their quest to find out where they come from. My bubba is a xray tech. A father of 4 beautiful babies and a wonderful man.

If a woman is fertile there are aprox two weeks in a month she can get pregnant. Multiple that over one year, over 10 years, 20 years, 30 years. And birth control is expensive unless there's a place like planned parenthood available. Breastfeeding a child gives the mother a one year buffer, but many women don't breastfeed. For a fertile female who may not have contraceptives available, its an ongoing worry. Hugh Hefner slept with thousands of women and he was admired and made it a business. For a female to be with 6 men over a long span of time, she is despised.

    I. M. I agree with the general premise of what you are saying, but there might be a few gaps in your knowledge of a woman’s fertility. Ovulation happens once in a cycle a typical cycle is 26-32 days long. So for argument’s sake let’s say your cycle is 28 days you will ovulate once in this time. You are fertile and potentially able to get pregnant 5 days before and 24 hours after ovulation (not for 2 weeks). breastfeeding is not a reliable form of contraception, although there is a lower risk of falling pregnant while breastfeeding, specifically during the first 3-6 months of feeding (not 12 months) it’s not a perfect or reliable form of contraception. But yeah I agree falling pregnant 6 times to six different men is not unheard of or even surprising if you don’t have access to contraception or education on how your body works and woman’s sexuality should not be taboo and frowned upon.

@@Evie_Cvie I found astrological birth control an additional helpful resource. It's been decades, I'll try to remember how it goes...I was born 12 hours after the full moon so every month 12 hours after the full moon would be my peak of fertility. You add 5 days or more on either side of that day and that is the time period to be extra careful and also to pay attention to your body's signals. All these are helpful extras to know. I breastfed exclusively for two years each child, no bottles. 1st child started solid food at 6 months. 2nd child started solid food at 4 months because it takes a couple months for a baby to get the hang of it. I believe that window of protection was aprox a year for me due to being able to breastfeed longer than many moms (often because of the need to return to their jobs). We do have a lot of societal pressures on young women and men. In Conversations with God, it was suggested that actually, grandparents make much more attentive, wise parents, and young people should just be free to celebrate life and youth. My 45 year old son just had his first baby and wanted a child for decades. Very nice to see!

I'm a mom. Never hid my pregnancy, but I know someone who did. She was 17, 18 when she gave birth. Lived with her parents. Her mom STRONGLY suspected she was pregnant, but she denied it big time. When the mom found larger pads, she honestly believed her daughter went out of state for an abortion... she asked again, she denied. One day her mom found adoption papers... this was 8yrs ago now, and complete shock and devastation doesn't even begin to cover it. She suspected, but believed or wanted to believe her daughter. Yes, she was a teenager, but the baby daddy was a 2yr boyfriend. He knew too I guess, but supported her in the secret. I don't get it til this day. Her parents were like my second parents, and I KNOW her mom and dad would've supported her no matter what thru their own experiences they had themselves, so it still blows my mind. These people HAVE to be in hardcore denial to get thru the pregnancy, so sad!!
