TankAce What on earth did the family do? The family of Castro didn’t know, so why should their lives be threatened? Let the criminal be accused and tried etc., but there is no crime the entirety of the Castro family committed that I’m aware of. So why should they be treated the same? They had nothing to do with the kidnapping.

Charles Ramsey. Don't worry he got plenty of credit with a book and yes the news did give him credit since day one. Perhaps you missed all of it. This segment was just about the first respondents to the scene. Don't forget, Gina and Michelle were afraid to leave their bedrooms thinking all the noise was Ariel beating up Amanda for trying to escape. That's a fact. So as the one officer stated she shined her flashlight on her uniform patch to show the girls they were in fact real police officers. They were understandably skeptical.

Absolutely. I’m glad someone mentioned that because that person was outrageous. You see this over & over. I don’t care how many “not really an emergency” calls they get - these people are not properly supervised. Hire better qualified professionals & pay them accordingly. They hire anyone to do this work & pay them peanuts because they don’t respect the public. I’ve had to call 911 twice in my life & both times I was profoundly abused by snarky, mean dismissive operators.

I can't ignore the fact that almost no body was concerned about Michelle...she was just forgotten ...as if she had no family ...and I see how all the media interest falls on Amanda and Jena but not so much on Michelle ...My heart aches for michelle the most ...she has suffered more than any of them ...God Bless you Michelle where ever you are ..you're a real survivor ...

Look up Charles Ramsey! He's the man who heard Amanda yelling from behind the front door, walked over and kicked out the bottom part of the door so she could crawl out and HE called 911 for her! But he's not even mentioned here at ALL! WTF?

They forgot to mention Mr. Charles Ramsey who broke the door upon hearing Amanda scream from behind the door! At least give the hero some credit for being the first person who helped the victims and for also calling 911 (while he was eating his Big Mac).
