+jbrabec22 I think it would. They're still human beings after all that. Still have human emotions. Still able to question the way other people behave towards them. Unless what you mean is that it's a trivial problem compared to what they went through. Which, yeah it is. And Michelle never seems to let things bother her. But still, it's odd that they always exclude her.

Here in 2022 still amazed by the incredible angel Michelle is! God bless her!

I enjoyed her book more than Amanda & Gina's book. She gave better insight and more details about what really went on in that house. I can't believe Castro didn't let her take a shower for 8 months. He was a very sick monster.

+Tina Olsen well, when your told for so long your worthless, not wanted, trouble etc...you kinda take on that persona. Amanda and Gina were younger than Michelle, (give me a minute before i get the no duh comments), the age they were taken, they were babies still. maturity level was not there. look how they were dressing, acting and talking afterwards. very evident that they still have alot of growing up to do still.

the way these interviewers talk to her like she's a child is pretty condescending. we all know she's been through hell and back, but that's not reason to treat her differently. i'm sure all she wants now is to be treated like a normal person and the same as everyone else. they'd also cut her off to ask her a new question while she was still answering the last one. very unprofessional and shitty of them.

I'm 4'11" and pretty sure its because she's so short, i deal with it too and absolutely hate it. It's very disrespectful and degrading. The way she keeps patting her leg like a childs is the same as saying she's not as mature, or as adult as she is. Same as someone propping their arm on a short persons head, is also very degrading. Adults don't like that no matter how short they may be. Glad to know I wasn't the only one who noticed it, so I know for sure it's not all made up in my head.

The fact she tenses from a napkin hurts my heart :(

Michelle is now Lily Rose Lee and has been the most forgotten about. She did not have family putting up posters, holding vigils, and hunting for her. Her true love-her child, Joey, the state never thoroughly investigated. He was fully adopted out!! The "adopters" refused and deprived this caring, loving Mommy of reunification, saying it wasn't in Joey's best interest. A different kind of Ariel Castro cruelty. I so admire and love this beautiful soul. My prayers are Mommy and son are reunited. Thank you Charles Ramsey, for being part of a true neighborhood, a community, as I once knew. You were their saving Angel for these FOUR precious lives. God Bless all of you ❤❤❤❤❤

Michelle you are my KNIGHT In shining armor! I vote for Michelle being woman of the year! Thanks for surviving.

She is everywhere! She's way more open & candid about her ordeal. Tons of interviews, a book, a movie & a song. I don't mean this in a bad way but she's really reveling in all the attention. Makes sense though since she grew up totally neglected. She doesn't have her family by her side & never really has. I wish her the very best. May the Lord grant her peace & healing. She deserves to reach each & every one of her dreams & goals. She's much more than a victim.....she's THE definition of a SURVIVOR.

The movie is not factual at all, neither is Michelle's book, written by a ghostwriter to sell it. She made up alot and keeps changing her story and adding more lies. She did not, go through with her therapy which is what she needed most, obviously..

her and Gina went through so much in that one room, I can't understand why her and Gina are not close or even best friends. Yet Amanda and Gina were in separate rooms and they remain close friends.

Bayyinah Rose I think it's the family situation. Gina's and Amanda's families bonded over looking for their daughters long before finding them. The families were able to click and support of one another. Michelle having no family I think made it difficult for her to keep in touch.

Probably because they remind eachother of the horrors inflicted on each other... I can understand how one or both don't want to re live that in each other's eyes .. After all only those two really know... :(

Don't get me wrong when I say this. I feel horrible for what the 3 girls went thru but I feel so sad for Michelle bc not only did her family not look for her but she lost her son. I pray that some day her and her son get reunited.

I'm amazed at all 3 of these young women's strength , we all must be proud of them , God Bless them 🙏🏻

You do realize everyone don't you that our whole education system and the system that labels kids stupid or slow learners is all a part of this dark cancerous underbelly of our world. They put out there what they what us to know and want us to regurgitate for everyone else. They also want us to act like their puppets and not question the status quo. Those that don't follow the rules and learn what they want and refuse to embrace what they the establishment tells them to embrace, one who has meaning and encourages their hearts to act on their own thoughts and FEELINGS . . . these are the folks that will inherit the Earth.

I listened to Audible "Finding Me" and "Hope". I am amazed by these three ladies. I was so depressed and sad during and after listening to their stories I don't think I can watch the movie. Their ordeal was so horrific. May love and light forever surround them.

How come Amanda and Gina hang out with each other, and work on books and stuff together, but they don't associate with Michelle & she has to write her own book, etc? I understand that Ariel pitted them against each other in the house, but you'd think they'd want to unite AGAINST his demands & wishes now that they're free & he's dead. It's always confused me why they seem to exclude her when all 3 went through something so massive together. You'd think they'd ALL want to remain close. Michelle is such a positive person, why WOULDN'T you want someone like that around? If Amanda and Gina are family now, why isn't Michelle?

Torture works. There is no such thing as the soldier who keeps silent - he/she will sell out after a few root canals (without any numbing). Feelings will be hurt no matter what. Arial spent years turning these girls against each other. We don't know the depth of pure hell (I don't anyway), maybe Arial trained the other girls to to fear even the word "Knight".

You're probably right. It might be so deeply ingrained into their psyche that they can't help it to this day. It seemed like though, by most accounts, that Gina had a pretty good relationship with Michelle in that house. I should read these girls books & see what they say first hand. It's interesting.

Michelle I never considered reading the book. I bet there would be some clues in there. I'm gonna get M Knight's book. That poor girl, I can't imagine living my life chained and hanging passing out, starvation, constant pain, sexually violated. I was dehydrated once and it was maddening. I think the youngest victim's parents invited Knight to live with them and the victims. I hope they aren't reading what I'm writing - they'd probably be shaking their heads saying "he has no freaking clue". Knight said some insightful stuff, like "Arial was not taught how to love." I bet she has some insights on how to detect psycho's like Arial, and how to heal one's self.

I got her book just a few days ago actually. Haven't started it yet. I heard the same thing about GIna's family inviting her to stay with them, but the story changes depending on the source. I watched the TV movie about this (which I normally wouldn't do, except that the great Taryn Manning played Michelle, and I could NOT pass that up.) According to that movie, Ariel was sexually abused too. Which, although I've never heard that before, and it's coming from a Lifetime movie, it makes sense.

Some say the other girls were upset that Michelle wrote a book without them. But who knows if that is true. Only the girls know why, IMO.

I simply cant and likely never will comprehend how she was able to ever move on forgive or LIVE. What happened to her and Gina and Amanda was by far much worse than my life, but people react or respond differently then others. That's what makes us all unique in our way. I just wish I could one day have the privilege of sitting down with her and having a conversation with Michelle. She wants to help people and I just want to get that help because she's the only one I think who could. But I have come to realize one thing above all others. You never get the help you want, because the world tells you you only deserve a certain kind of help.

I found the Audio Book on CD at my local Library, " Finding Me" by Michelle Knight..I have been listening to her story..It's so sad but I'm glad that she lived. What a strong and beautiful woman..
