    As a person who lost my mom, firing that guy is absolute trash. Of course it will take him a while to get back to normal. And you obviously saw potential in him, you were going to promote him. Instead of investing in your employee you just let him go? Fuck them!

  • @Th1sUsernameIsNotTaken

    Yeah. At minimum there should have been a talk with him FIRST to try and address it. If he's that good already, a few months to get back on track is 100% worth it so long as he's improving week by week.

    Agree. I lost my husband and my mother back to back. Grief is a long journey. That girl is going to be hit with a karmic reality when it is her enduring a loss and learn her lesson the hard way. Of course a 22 yr old kid who lost both parents suddenly would struggle far longer than a month.

    Welcome to the modern business landscape. When any job posting has 2 thousand responses (mostly unqualified IK) it doesn't feel that hard to drop one person and get a new one like you are getting a new outfit. Its pretty gross but lots of businesses do that.

    Hot tip from a 17 year banking industry worker in the U.S.: You absolutely 100% CAN give someone else permission to not only use your credit cards and debit cards but they should also even sign their own name. This is not fraud, it only becomes fraud if they sign your name, hence signing their own name, but even if the credit card company flags this and calls you about it, all you have to do is say “I gave them permission” and it’s all gooch. ❤❤❤❤

    the story about the 22-year-old whose parents died is a reminder to stop being loyal to companies and businesses because they'll get rid of you at the drop of a hat it reminds me of a job I worked two years ago (I was 18) despite being the youngest I was praised a lot of the time for my performance, I even worked while I was really sick with Covid and I asked for only two days off because of a loss and after getting a phony "I'm sorry for your loss" this woman asks when I can make those days up because I'm one of her top people and she wants me on for as long as possible and this is the same job that acted shocked when I wanted to leave and manipulated the hell out of me, I still left them in the dust🤣

    In the state I’m from you get THREE whole days of leave time/ bereavement for immediate family!! Which is terrible! So getting a paid month off, not bad! And the company just instantly firing is terrible too!! Even though I have a few employees I’d love to fire instantly but HR frowns upon that! lol

    Just saying…I’m not expecting my future children to have to go through the trauma of having to come out on behalf of their parents to their significant other. Children of parents of the opposite sex don’t have to go “hey just FYI my parents are straight”, I’m not expecting my child to say “hey FYI my parents are gay”. That’s ridiculous and a double standard. If their significant other doesn’t like that then they weren’t the right one for my child to begin with. 🤷🏾‍♂️

  • @amandarobynn6268

    I don’t think it’s a matter of telling the gf his parents were gay it’s more so it doesn’t seem he brought the parents up at all. Would you not tell the gf their names or atleast talk about them before you introduce them? Most people if they explained a story about two dads would put two and two together.

  • @memedealermikey

    @memedealermikey

    5 ай бұрын

    @@amandarobynn6268Yeah but her actions reflect how she actually feels (or how she knows that her parents feel) about homosexuality. You’re forgetting that he [the bf] has been raised by two dads, meaning for him that is the norm. That when he says “my parents” it doesn’t imply anything about the sex of the parents because to him there’s no substantial different between his parents and hetero parents. The fact she got so upset that she LEFT says a lot more about her than it does anything about the situation

    I feel like AITA is fun to read at first, but then you get to the part where you realize almost all of these stories are fake just based on the writing styles and the fact that each of them has an underlying message (ex: the “what’s for dinner?” one was obviously just to point out the TikTok trend was stupid or make a joke about it). Still, it’s fun to read and see opinions as long as you’re basically treating it as a hypothetical instead of a real story. Although a lot of the AITA stories I’ve read are people trying to push a political or sexist viewpoint in the reader’s face by portraying the opposite side/gender as the stupid one.
