Great and in-depth review on both. I have the black suede MacV-1’s. Love them. I’ve been wanting to pick up the Altama urban assault in mid height. Nice to see you compare the two. I’d end up swapping the laces out for the ones on the MacV-1’s and probably be set for the uses I want them for. Thanks for posting this video.

Do they come with an extra insert? Im NOT going to heavy pack with these that's a use for other types of boots. I Will be using the maritime for all water related activities, civilian water shoes dont give any support, and they slip on wet slimy coble stone river bed. I think these will work well bush wacking with a kayak on short trails to water source, by design they appear to have the foot protection i like, looking foward to bang on these and see how they will perform. Thank you this was really close up review well.done.

In my experience with them my feet do get hot, but also I can feel it when a cool breeze blows in. So it's not as bad as it could be. Especially if you wear them without socks.

@@sprinkleddonuts6094 well, they get hot. Your feet sweat. Sweat stays in your sock and you get bad foot problems. These can be hosed off and dried quite easily. No socks for these = ideal.

@@sprinkleddonuts6094 trust, I know. I was 11B. But my boots where not waterproof. Waterproof plus socks is a ticket to trench foot. My cold weather boots where goretex, but still got saturated. These where designed to be worn with flippers even. Like boat shoes, for frogmen.

Your mispronunciation is cringy... it's not AL-tamm-uh. Ahltah-muh. If you're going to critique a product, it's easier to take you seriously when know the name correctly. I'm not calling you fight-dahd midlyff.
