So I personally have had both the Tech 10 and The sidi Atojo, I sway towards the sidi only because its light and a little more flexible. I ride moto and desert riding. The Astar is nice and feels great on the foot , however its kinda stiff and i actually really never felt like it broke in. I demolised the astar sole before the sidi. They both were fine in the calf area for someone who wears knee braces. Just my 2cents-Isaiah/motogeek

Hey Chase, I wear an 8.5 US in basically every shoe and have a slightly wider foot. What size would you recommend for the Atojos? 8.5 or bump up a bit to 9? Hoping to avoid any pinch points. Thanks!

How about the stiffness of the toebox? Sidi TA has a very hard very protective toe box. How solid I’d the Astar toebox?

Would rather see a comparison between the Atojo SRS and the A-star tech 7's. They seem more comparable in that they are both lighter weight and a little less protection then their more expensive counterparts, the X-3 and tech 10's. It is understandable why you went with the tech 10's being the premium flagship model but I think a lot of people won't even consider those boots. I would also be more interested in a video of the X-3 TA vs tech 7. I think it would be an interesting comparison since the 'narrow' SRS foot bed is one of the biggest complaints I see against the Sidi's and the tech 7 just seem to be the more popular A-stars since they don't have that bootie design, which I tend to agree with

I went from Alpinestar tech 7 enduros to the Atojos. The tech 7s don’t hold a candle to the sidis. They made the atojo wider as well and they are super comfortable. 10x the protection too. It wouldn’t even Be a comparison between the 2. The tech 10 is really the only thing you can compare a crossfire 3 or an atojo to.

The Atojo looks like a step backward from the Crossfire SRS 3. I'm in the market for a new pair of boots and I have it narrowed down to Tech 10, SG12 and Crossfire SRS 3.

I can see how and why you would think that about the ATAJO, but I don't entirely agree. The both have the same flex and ankle support. The only thing the crossfire 3 has is more hard plastic around the shin and calf. But support, feel, fit, and other things, they're very similar. I like the simplicity of the ATAJO. - Chase

If I was riding the dunes, I'd probably go with a Tech 10. No boot has as much impact support as the Tech 10. I hear too many horror stories about dunes and I would want all the support I could get! - Chase

Tech 10 I'd say has a slightly larger calf opening. The SG12 has the largest opening of any premium boot. How big is your calf and what knee brace do you have? - Chase

Bought the Atojo from you guys about 2 months ago and just returned the 2nd warranty pair. Both pairs developed holes in the synthetic leather just above the hard plastic near the shin. I only rode about 3-4 hours on both pairs. They are sending my third pair this week. Very disappointed with the quality - should have gone A Stars like the rest of my gear.

Has the tech 10 changed for 2021 or is it the same as the 2020? From photos it looks like the inside of the boot has changed a bit.

They have done a few small running changes from the when they redesigned it last. New sole design, couple more vents in the shin plate, and added thickness to the plastic on the inside for more durability. - Chase

Fly boots are honestly the best when it comes to riding on a budget! They will last forever I ran my first pair for about 3 years and their still the ones I let friends borrow! They last a very long time and offer great protection I would recommend replacing after 2 years since they do lose their stiffness after a while . Not bad since they are anywhere from 100-150.
