Alpinestars Tech 10 Motocross Boots

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

A breakthrough innovation for the Tech 10 is the introduction of Alpinestars patented Frontal Flex Frame. Combining with the dual front and rear blade connectors, the Frontal Flex Frame gives the Tech 10 a complete and seamless flexion control system, from the foot shell all the way up to the shin plate, offering high performance double motion control, preventing over-compression and hyper-extension, featuring: -Engineered frontal flexion control offered by a dual-density TPU connector system, uniting the lower buckle plate with the upper blade connector, buckle and shin protector. Engineered to ‘float’ freely between the lower and upper boot construction, the Frontal Flex Frame acts as a shock absorber by distributing energy across the boot frame while controlling forward and rearward flex, progressively releasing force which dampens and absorbs impact energies.

He mentions that if boot needs repair you can send them to Alpinestar tech 7 (which were only 6 months old)and they will take care of it- sorry but that is bullshit, i needed a pivot/flex joint repaired on the left boot inner ankle and soles replaced, sent alpinestars pics and i was willing to pay, they told me to buy new boots so i did and got the Gaerne SG12 and 12 months later the boots are still in excellent shape after much abuse.

2SmokeUtah, I know exactly what you're feeling. I also have a pair and was thinking the same thing. I'll think you'll be surprised though when you ride in them. Yes, they are stiff, but it didn't hinder my shifting and braking as much as I thought it would. Like any new boot it took a some time to get used to them but after just a few rides I felt very comfortable in them and I actually like how much flexion support they have. This tells me that even when this boot has a lot of hours on it, it will still have good support. I was also impressed with footpeg feel. I didn't think it would be as good as it was with the inner-boot but second to my instincts, they have the most feel on the foot pegs. You'll have to let me know how it goes after you ride in them a couple times. Have fun out there-Chase

Do these have the heel lift issue that the Tech 7 has? Also, I need width in the footbed. How does that compare to the SG12? So pumped about the Supervented :D .. though worried I might get a stick do a number on my foot as I ride all single track

These have a nice wide footbed and no, the heel float isn't at all like the Tech 7. Tech 10 has more support but the SG12 can't be beat for durability. Tech 10 also has a little more peg feel. - Chase

I think they have less flex than the previous model. that frontal flex control doesn't allow it to flex. I've worn my about 7-8 times, and it already split/crack. They have ZERO flex for the first few rides. keep your old boots if you're racing, you can't race in these for a while. I couldn't get on and off the rear brake, and shifting was difficult.

  • @rmatvmc

They would be alright for enduro. Although, they do have a tech 7 enduro that has a different sole design for enduro riding specifically. If you plant your feet a lot when you ride then the enduro sole might be a better choice, but honestly, I think these would be just fine.

If you ride in areas where you need foot protection stay away from the Tech 7. The toe box has little to no protection against rocks/roots, you can literally feel your individual toes through the side of the boot of you press on it from the outside.
