Almost Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce ~ Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe ~ Noreen's Kitchen

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Greetings! Today I am sharing with you a recipe that I am trying for the first time. A recipe for a Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce copycat that was created by my friend Heather over on the JakLuk4 channel. If you don't know Heather, please click the link below or the one at the end of the video and be sure to check out her channel. She is just getting into non processed cooking from scratch and she dove right in! She is canning up a storm and baking everything under the sun for her sons and her husband. You are going to love her and her spirit! Not to mention her enthusiastic husband Matt who is there, most of the time just like Rick giving her input and encouragement! Please check her out!
Back to the BBQ! This sauce is simply perfect. We did tweak it a bit to suit our own tastes, but this stuff is bomb diggity! The addition of the pineapple juice in place of the cider vinegar is perfect for us and I never would have thought to do that, but Heather did and we love it. We cut back on the liquid smoke and added a bit of chipoltle hot sauce in place of the cayanne pepper. It was simply to die for.
You can bet that I will be making this in a vat and canning it so we can have this on hand all the time. With summer coming up I can see us reaching for this homemade version all the time! When you make it, you can choose whatever brand or type of ingredients you love best, we love the Simply Heinz with is made with just sugar, but if you prefer an organic version, go for it or if what you have on hand is what you want to use, then that is what you should do!
I hope you will give this sauce a try and I hope you love it! I also hope you will take a minute and click on the link to Heather's channel and see what she is doing over there. I have been following her for a LONG time, she used to do a lot of videos regarding activism and such. She really is a good soul and I know you will like her!
Happy Eating!

My Mom passed in 2000 at age 77. She always doctored the Open Pit BBQ Sauce. And called it her Hawaiian Sauce. All she did was add some brown sugar and pineapple preserves she bought at our Kroger Food Chain. Guests loved it and took quantities home. It was amazing on the top of meat loaf!

I have an idea to make a homemade "Beenee Weenee", which is beans and sliced hot dogs combined together with a barbecue sauce. The barbecue sauce in this video would make a great version of homemade beans and sliced hot dogs because of the outstanding sweet taste it has. That pineapple juice is pure magic! I am now confident enough to give the beans and diced hot dogs recipe a try now that you posted this video. I made this sauce exactly as you have, and liked the same level of smoke flavor as you do. I thank both you and the creator for this recipe, and it's easy to make. It makes a great French fry dip, great on hamburgers and hot dogs, and of course barbecue brisket.

You know whats weird? Regular Heinz ketchup in Canada does not have hfcs in it. Ive had the kind that does, from the US before, and it totally tastes different!

all USA food contains GMO. UK DOESNT, it's BANNED. I WOULD NEVER EAT AMERICAN FOOD. my friend brought me some foodstuffs from the USA, macaroni cheese, hamburger helper and Campbell's chicken noodle soups, I threw the lot in the trash, GMO IN EVERY PRODUCT.

i love sweet baby rays. my husband n son hate it. oh well ill just make it 4 myself. lol thank you 4 sharing this noreen. another one of my favorites is tgi fridays. but all the recipes out there are just not the same. and whats the weird thing here in michigan i my area. all the tgi fridays will not sell you any. i have asked for several cups full , like a pints worth or even there little 1-2 oz cups you get with a dinner to go. and they always say they r not allowed. isnt that strange. i have even offered to pay what ever they want plus extra and its still NO. have a great day n i will check out her site ty again.

This is not a safety tested canning recipe so I cannot recommend nor can I give you processing times. You should not pressure can in half pint jars either. Please refer to the Ball blue book or the website for the National Center for Home Food preservation or the websites for either the Georgia or Washington State University Extension offices for recipes and safety tested canning continuing education.
