There's not a lot of choice in this area for boutique sauces, so I'm pretty much bound only to the big Brands, but of those, I think Bullseye has to be my pick.

Really?! I think it’s excessively sweet to the point of being kind of gross. I’m used to tossing wings in it at work and it’s way too sweet for my taste. It’s like thick syrup

Except that Sweet Baby Ray isn’t black 😂. But I don’t use this sauce, nor any, with HFCS.

We've been a lover of SBR for 20 years. My husband won't even consider a different brand! Love all the flavors....but the original is historic!

And it was at that point, when you realize every video from Mashed has become an ad, that you unsub, and run fast and hard away from everything they put out.

Mashed is such BS, every article from them is “ don’t eat this because “ and it sodium everytime they are such a crap company and are clueless

Last year we had a neighborhood bbq and we encouraged everyone to bring their favorite sauce for everyone to try. We had 14 bottles of Sweet Baby Rays! I live in Kansas City, known for bbq, and SBR is right up there with Gates and Arthur Bryant's. Good job!

We had a company cookout a few years ago, all you could eat. On the table was all kinds of Baby Ray's sauces for the pulled pork. I tried them all and loved them all! I only buy Baby Ray's since.

Tread lightly when talking about BBQ, I'm from the south, and I've seen fistfights break out on this subject.

I don't bother with anything that has high fructose corn syrup in it. G. Hughes is where it is!

G Hughes or any "sugar free" substitute sauce has that horrible sugar free unnatural after taste. I either make my own sauce (super easy and helpful if you're eating low carb), or just use store bought sauces that have natural sugars and go light on the use.

What we really need to know is High Fructose Corn Syrup is the top ingredient. I prefer sauces that have tomato-based ingredients first, and molasses or cane sugar as the sweetener. Stubbs hit the mark in this regard.

It's been showing up in Australia in the last few years and I think it's a hit. I like the honey chipotle and sweet spicey.

I used to drink (along with a whole lot of other Chicagoans) with the legendary Mike Royko at the Billy Goat Tavern, Home of the SNL "Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger" skit.

We(my agency) moved Mike and his wife into their railroad house on Damen,I believe(long time ago)....plus I had seen him at Billy Goats. I even met the old Billy Goat himself when I was a kid....he asked me who made a better cheeseburger;him or my mom....it took a few times as his accent wasn't something a little kid could understand. I met Mike the morning of the move; he had a paper bag with some beers inside.End of the day we had the the last piece..a heavy giant of a piano. The wife wanted it up on the third floor. We all groaned inwardly....Mike said the first floor would be fine.(our hero). Then some idiot on the crew,stole his press badge out of a box. Mike found out and torched us in a scathing article. Small world, sometimes, in Chicago.

My go to bbq sauce. Not overly smokey, not too much spices that removes the meats flavor and the same goes for the tomato taste. It's delicious.

It’s the Mountain Dew of BBQ sauces. You can taste the sweet.

DIY Bbq sauce: 1. Ketchup as much as you want sauce 2. Brown sugar to your sweetness level. 3. Worcesteshire Sauce dash or two. 4. White or Apple cider vinegar dash or two. From here make it your own! Add onions, peppers, whatever you like. Excellent for baking and grilling 😊

I prefer Bull’s Eye BBQ sauce but SBR will always be a classic that I change it up with.

Bull's Eye Hot and Spicy was a winner, but they discontinued it years ago. Sweet Baby Rays Honey Chipotle is the best spicy sauce I have found. Boomer and proud of it.

Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce taste just like the BBQ Wendy's had before they changed It.

Seeet Baby Ray’s for me is the best for baby back ribs. I’ve been buying it since it I found it on the shelves. 1990’s.... Yes I stocked up on this barbecue sauce.. 😋

Try Kinder’s! It makes sweet baby Ray’s taste like crap! But get the one that says “Hot” on the bottle. It’s the only one with an authentic smoke flavor to it.

over the last couple of months a mashed have been doing a LOT more videos like this, i don't mind because i'm in Australia where 90% of the fast food joints they're talking about don't even exist here so i get to see what their food is like....but if i lived in the USA i'd be hating these videos, it's just ALL fast food and commercial products.

Lets have a look at the last week of videos for example. They had 4 videos that weren't for fast food or large scale commercial products, Cashews, Potatos, Banana peels and Beef jerky. I'm not including their thanksgiving video because they include things like 'hot DR. pepper'.... The rest of the videos? Sweet baby rays, Dairy Queen, Bobby Flay, Hot pockets, Chik-fil-a, Burger Chef, Fast food milkshakes, Fritos, Frozen pizzas, Wendy's, Fast food consumer mistakes, Shake shack, chik-fil-a.

So, seriously, what is it exactly, specifically, that i "needed to know" before buying this "again," and why? Sheesh. . . . . .

Sweet Baby Rays is the best you can get in the local store. I have tried them all, and even quite a few specialty ones.

I am 61 y.o.a. from rural KY. & I make a great bbq sauce, ( smoking meats since i was 9 y.o.a ) but it takes a while & sweet baby ray's bbq sauce is the only retail bbq sauce I use , plus here it is only $ 1.25 for a 12 ounce bottle , it puts all ty those costly sauces to shame except for Stubbs , but Stubbs is costly here . I won't switch from sweet baby ray's .

Sorry, but any bbq sauce recipe that starts with corn syrup or even any type of fruitouse isn't really a BBQ decent sauce.

I don't need a 8:30 video to tell me what I need to know before buying Sweet Baby Rays again. It is delicious. And I support a business owner, of color.

Josh Worsley I bet when he made it in his kitchen he didn’t put HFCS in it so why did he allow them to put it in when he had it manufactured.

Yes,Bullseye was the favorite in a test on America's Test Kitchen. But my all time favorite was my Dad's. In 2qt saucepan he started with Kraft bbq sauce then built on top of that, including a whole lemon cut in half. I could almost eat a whole chicken barbequed in this stuff . ( I think chickens were fed better in the 60's and maybe shipped out at a younger age. My,that crispy skin).I never asked him for the recipe. Hes gone now, thanks for the memories dad.

Sweet baby rays bar b que sauce is the only I use. It’s the greatest.

I’ve purchased my first bottle tonight - I usually have Jack Daniel’s and/or Levi Roots Jerk Sauce but been advised to try Sweet Baby Rays. Going to be trying it next time I make Pork Ribs - as they never give me enough BBQ sauce.

Kinder’s “Hot” is the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever tasted, bottled and sold in stores! It’s as good as any great homemade sauce! The other types of Kinder’s sauce, is just average, but the one that says “Hot” on the bottle is the best store-bought sauce you can find anywhere! And it’s not that hot, it’s about medium spicy, but the real smoke flavor and the taste of the barbecue sauce is great! Sweet baby Ray’s is not even close!

I first discovered SBR in a small sandwich shop in Omaha, NE about 20years ago. Haven't bought another brand since.

Personally I like Kroger's store brand of Hickory Smoke BBQ sauce. It's cheap and it tastes great.

Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce is the best; so delicious!

It used to be KC Masterpiece was the most popular, but now SWR's is the best.

Sweet baby Rays is too sweet. If I want to eat a candy bar I will buy a snickers. I like sauce that has flavor. too sweet.

The sauce is the boss

I myself do not use BBQ sauce, when I grill. Friend uses it on his briquettes, but not a fan . Peeps can apply what they want but to me, it kills the real flavor. Not for sale.

I bought it once and read that and will never buy it again. HFCS does not belong in your house, on the BBQ, anywhere.

Sweet baby Ray’s sauce is not even close, to how good Kinder’s “Hot” barbecue sauce is. And it’s a little spicy, but it’s not that hot. Kinder’s makes the best sauce sold in stores, but only the one that says “hot” on the bottle!

G Hughes sugar free BBQ. The best Jerry, the best !

we have these sauces in Aus as well the hickory BBQ with some ABC extra hot chilli sauce to taste some butter heat and pour over wings for spicy hot sticky BBQ wings

Baby Rays does make a sugar free bbq sauce. It tastes horrible.

My favorite bbq sauce

I like a half and half mix of their sweet and spicy and a hickory smoke sauce, maybe even with a little added liquid smoke to kick up the smokiness.

Ingles bbq sauce.its the color that tells what quality sauce your buying. I prefer hickory.its thick and leaves a thick coat.

@@dzk No, I don't. Sweet Baby Ray's is currently enjoying unofficial status as the nation's favorite barbecue sauce. In addition, it's the one being given prime shelf space, dedicated end caps, and off-isle displays in markets across the country. When I've gone to buy Sauce these past few years, Sweet Baby Ray's on its own has taking up more shelf and floor space than every other brand combined. So when you ask if I see how that works, no. I don't, because you're presenting a logical fallacy.

Being from Chicago all I’ve known is sweet baby rays. So good. Recently though I’ve tried Stubbs sticky sweet and idk I think it may be better

Used to use SBR exclusively. Then, discovered Kinders. Now, I use SBR as the cheap off-brand, like Hunts or Kraft. Kinders for the win.
