This song is like being wrapped in a warm blanket while sitting in front of a fire. Love it. I never comment that you must check anything out, just check in daily (or two or three times a day) until you drop it. I have faith. 🥰

@CaitlinKavanagh you are so right!!! Faith! There are certain reactors that you absolutely KNOW will react to an artist’s new drop, eventually! And that, is where OUR endorphin hit happens!! WHAT IT DO DAVE, keep helping us get our fix and ward off permanent, irrevocable depression!! 😅
I adore this one - but it isn't shocking the way Nothing Else Matters was. That one simply knocked me off of my feet. This one has me in a swoon. This is like 100% subtle gorgeousness. Interesting info on radio frequencies... I never thought about it in this context.
You understand us so well, Dave. It's not that I love this video less, it's that it leaves me so warm and relaxed that I'm just floating away once it ends.
It's all the little things that add up to make this special. The rhythm, lighting, setting, arrangement, and such smooth vocals. The "on your way to making another kid"- lol!
Voiceplay's pop songs don't tend to get as many views for whatever reason. Even with the amazing Deejay who has one of the best pop voices I've ever heard, period. I think it is probably because there is a lot of A Capella music out their like this, but there isn't a lot like their really epic songs or rock songs. And disney songs always do well because they have such a following already.
Lots of tingles and chills with this. Not unusual of course. But this is so beautiful. As you say there is a definite feel of the Beach Boys in this arrangement with a big sprinkle of VP magic dust.
Interesting insight about radio frequencies. Hadn't thought about that even though I know Geoff, Tim, and other basses need the mic so we can appreciate their full range. Physiology doesn't let them belt an E1 like they can an A5. A leaf fluttering to the ground is possibly the most poetic description of a descending riff I've ever heard. What a lovely image that creates.
Voiceplay is talented.... period ... no joke. As a veteran Bary Sax Player, I have noticed a few things though. Their "Epic" covers, those which remake heavier and darker melodies like "Hoist" and "Nothing Else Matters", tend to get much more reaction than their lighter ones. However, the breath control, and complexity of negative space, along with the higher runs, such as those used in this one are more difficult in my opinion. Imagine if one of them once, just once, sang during a break by accident. The entire song would be ruined. They are amazing! Luv Ya Bro! Keep on!😁
This cover is perfect ❤❤😭😭😭🤧 Deejay Young's voice is so angelic that it always moves me right away. He's one of my favorite guests.❤❤❤❤❤
Voiceplay is such an amazing acapella group. Their work is so amazing, and it's great to watch the reactions of how well they do
This cover is just gorgeous! The more I listen, the more I love it! Thanx, Dave!
great analogy about the leaf! love this one ❤🏴

Got to agree! Great anology.
This song reminds me of 90’s R&B…so good. They sound like butter. Glad I saw your reaction! ❤
This was a soul saving hug. This was warmth, love, hope, and beauty
These guys definitely did this song justice. I love this song and they made it sound so warm and cuddly.
This was actually recorded before NEM, together with the Chipmunk song and saved for later released. For different reasons, the recording of NEM, which was scheduled for autumn had to be post-poned until late December. We are hearing them in the wrong order of recordings, but as you say, we are still stunned from NEM. Still, this is a very good song, which I personally love much. Love the intimacy and the personal love and connection Layne has produced by building this room with memorabilia from VP and family.
Great reaction, Dave. I, too, was struck by Deejay Young's soulful riffs--they truly add another dimension to the Beach Boys' original.
Late to this but In my room is one of my all time favourites from Voiceplay. The original I could take or leave but I think this is such a good example of all of their individual incredible talents and ranges and their collective harmonising ability. The video is simple but elegant and they are all dressed sooo good- those shirts!! It just leaves me so happy and content. Love your reactions!

7:12 😂 if you think this song is bad for that check out Deejay Young’s song “Tonight” if that isn’t the sexiest smoothest song you’ve ever heard 😘
Just letting you know that Geoff and Voiceplay released their new videos in patreon yesterday. So they should be releasing them on KZread soon. Voiceplay is crazy and awesome. Geoff is amazingly beautiful.
We patrons didn’t have this as long before the premier. Maybe we just weren’t ready to share yet. This was filmed in Rayne’s Room Recording Studio. Owned by Layne, they have filmed many videos here including ACA Top 10s and Chandelier. For a 360 degree view of the studio, check out Pattycake Production’s Disney Girls Like Me. When Layne dressed the set he included items for each VoicePlay member, Deejay, his daughters, his grandmother, and his wife’s family. Items he added for himself included his violin, his hoverboard and a book of his favorite Disney movie.
This one isn't going to be a commercial blockbuster like nem but to me it's just lovely. It's a shame they don't get more recognition for their smoother and softer songs. They are lovely and every bit as impressive as a hoist the colours or dragonborn but just in a softer way.
I think many of us are still recovering after NEM! Then 2 weeks later we get this rare jewel! An abundance of riches! So sweet to the ear. Everyone was in fine form...as usual. We are spoiled and come to expect the best from VP! Now to savor this one until the next one!
lol. "You're still recovering." This is why I love your reactions.
I watched this yesterday and knew you'd have a great reaction to it. I've been anxiously awaiting this to pop up on my screen. Great reaction
So glad they covered this song.
This sent chills through me for the whole song. This was amazing!!
I'm so glad that you mentioned the Boys 2 Men vibes that you were feeling. I definitely got a R & B/ Pop vibe on this while they definitely payed homage to the stacking harmonies that was famous for the original Beach Boys style.
I so appreciate your insight ... it's always such a pleasure.
It takes me awhile to catch up on my YT subs. You are my favorite reactor, so you are prioritized on my list. I get here as fast as I can! 😁 Always enjoy both your commentary and the way you let music wash over your soul.
I’m disappointed in the other Voiceplayers for not hyping this one up. I really like this one. It’s so comforting.
Lol so funny you said that bc I wasn't all over this one 🤣 but I love it tho so much ! I love this channel and your quiet gentle reactions bc I have to watch late at night also ! great stuff man, great stuff! Nice work always 👏 ❤️ ✌️
The Beach Boy that wrote this song suffered from agoraphobia and VP honored that phobia that he overcame to be a singer. This is very different from the 60s version and boy do I like it.
I grew up in the '60s and the Beach Boys blasting on my radio. Love this arrangement by Layne.
I absolutely love this
Just knew would react to them! You will love it!
Like someone else said, this isn't mind blowing like NEM was, but I think its the perfect song to follow it, just as haunting in a different way, peacefulness instead of power.
I think part of the lack of comments, and possibly views, is that the original NEM was a blockbuster and well known. This is a very mellow song by a group many people may not as be familiar with. Because the BB were a staple in my teen years, and this song in particular, I was excited. NEM wasn’t familiar to me, but I know I’m in a minority. The same with Till Then. A lot of reactors had never heard of the Mills Brothers. 🤯 I am still recovering from the outright drama of NEM, and this is the perfect song for that recovery. But this is more subtle and not as flashy. The song is a comfort, and unfortunately may get overlooked. But the artistry in this is just as impressive. NEM was restrained power. Doing this took powerful restraint. I love when Dee Jay wows us, but am really impressed by his ability (and willingness) to rein it in. These are each going to be favorites, for entirely different moods. And this does remind me of Boyz II Men, and those beautiful old Motown ballads. Soothing like cocoa and a snuggly blanket on a cold and foggy day.
Deejay has the perfect voice in this song, just goes so well with the vibe
Gentle brilliance, so no crazed mob afterwards like for NEM. Instead happily drifting off.
Great reaction Dave. I've been listening to this for the last week since they released it on patreon. I knew you'd get to it quickly. That's why I didn't comment you about it being released yesterday. Just watching and waiting for you pop up in my recommended videos. Would have gotten here sooner but was watching another video. This was filmed in a room in Layne's house. He had to staple black curtains over the windows outside. Everything in the room relates to each member in some way. I saw the Beach Boys several times in concert. Loved this song then and love it now. Voiceplay does a fantastic job as usual.
I was definitely waiting for your reaction and was sad when I didn't see it yesterday. Does that count? 😂 As usual, it was great, and I loved your smile after describing Deejay's run. 😁 Also, anybody else go here? "I am a leaf on the wind, watch how I soar?" 🥺 Just me?

Love it Dave ! Great share 🎼🔥🎼
Kokamo would been great song to do also just saying
Eli, DJ and Caesar riff and runs fest.
This one isn't as flashy as some, but the harmonies! This is one to just sit back and listen to how well they mesh. If you look closely there are things in the room with them that are personal to all of them.
That song came out until September 23 1963
Just my opinion they should of done wipe out by the beach boys but this is this good tho
Hey, everything they put out is superb! But it wouldn't be fair to demand Nothing Else Matters levels of awesome every single time they release a new cover. We'd burn the poor guys out in no time and then everyone would be sad. ☹ We'll just have to settle for 'pinnacle of excellence achievable by mere mortals' in between the moments of godlike transcendence. - Unrelated, ouch! That 'leaf in the wind' metaphor immediately brought to mind Hoban Washburne in the movie Serenity. Unintended I'm sure, but yikes XD
Right
Oh, no! I definitely don’t like it LESS. Maybe it’s just that my feed wasn’t showing me any of your reactions in the last day or so. I think I have too many very different kinds of subscriptions-I’m confusing the algorithm. LOL. Glad you found it anyway. Isn’t this gorgeous??
I think it’s less about how good the cover is and more about how big the original song that they’re covering is. Metallica’s arguably biggest hit vs a lesser known beach boys song
Long time ago Song
I wish you could have listened to Tim Foust sing this from Home Free, it’s awesome!!😊

Sorry, I see you have already seen it :)
Can you react to "SHOW MUST GO ON!" by the band Anthem?
Please listen to Tim fousts version of this!!!
You should react to bts
Eli - pronounced like Elly
Eli - pronounced Elly
Something was missing that kept it from being great
Not any less impressive, just after the Metallica cover, lot of us needed a little break....
To be honest, I prefer this to Nothing Else Matters...I haven't been able to listen to the entire thing as it doesn't resonate to me and I have tried multiple times. Apparently I am in the minority with my opinion.
