I'm so sorry for your loss.

In the hospital the day My dad passed from cancer, we left the room to give my parents time to talk while he was still responding. She said she climbed in the bed next to him and he scooted over as much as he could move and as they laid there she spoke of the good times and he said I've enjoyed my life with you honey. She said we had some good times. This song makes me think of that moment. He passed later that day June 8, 2023. August would've been 55 years of marriage. I love their love story.

I told my husband that losing a child is a terrible grief for those that go through it, but those that lose a spouse loses a part of themselves. It's got to hurt so bad. I can't even imagine that pain in either situation. 💔😢

Through these comments I have read so many stories of the loss of loved ones. The thing (most) people seem to not understand is the fact that we are NOT physical beings in search of a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings. We are eternal. We come to rhese bodies in search of a PHYSICAL experience. Those we love, we have ALWAYS loved. That connection has ALWAYS been there and CAN NOT BE BROKEN by the material world. Patience is a bitter thing to taste, but it's fruit is the sweetest thing you will know. We DON'T LOSE ANYONE. That love is, and forever will be. Only the physical is temporary. ALL physical/material things are temporary. Be patient. Have faith. Carry that love for all eternity. It's yours.

This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. She’s always in our hearts.

A beautiful woman who I was crazy about in high school who I hadn't seen in over 50 years ago sent me this song. It made my mind race back in time.

I’m away from my love right now, missing him terribly. I’m a Hospice patient with not a lot of time left and he just had surgery that he’s getting over. I’m lying here, alone with tears running down my face because I just need him to hold me for a little while so I can fall asleep. I know he’ll be here soon, in just a few days but it feels like an eternity right now. The words of this song just gutted me, set off some ugly crying like I haven’t done in ages. I’m terrified that I won’t live long enough to make him understand how much he means to me, how his softly spoken words of love wrap me in tenderness that I’ve only dreamed of before now. It feels so unfair to have met and fallen this hard in love only to be told that I can’t have a forever with him. But I’ll spend every minute I have left loving him with my whole heart mind body and soul. If I had known country music was like this, I’d have never listened to anything else. Beautiful harmonies whenever Allison sings with someone - from Robert Plant to John Waite. Beautiful.
