Yeah I know, I had to watch my dad have a horrible death from pancreatic cancer. It's extremely painful!. All we could do was give him morphine for the pain.

@@amakuaole I am incredibly sorry for your loss. I wish you and your family peace and healing. I hope someday doctors will stop ignoring those of us slowly dying of pancreatitis and missing the cancer until it is too late. They can and must do better by their patients.

I went to dozens of doctors starting in high school and went undiagnosed and three years ago at age 55 i could no longer eat because of the pain or digest food without enzymes and the doctors still ignored it. Only when my kidneys began to fail did they send me to an oncologist and still they didn't help me in time. There are no good answers for pancreatitis but if they remove the pancreas like they commonly remove the gall bladder a patient like me could avoid cancer, be out of excruciating pain and live with a combination of dialysis, enzymes, and insulin. Its ugly and difficult and it sucks but better than a straight up death sentence.

Its not "like" we lost a friend- we truly lost a friend.

I cried all the way through tonight's episode of Jeopardy 💔 Alex was such an outstanding person. He felt like family. My Mom and I watched Jeopardy together for so many years. We had so many laughs because I really wasn't smart enough to play, she's the one who got the answers right. This touched me so deeply because Alex Trebek was one of her favorite people and mine too. I lost my Mother to cancer on the same exact day eleven years ago. Sending My Prayers to Alex's family and friends 🙏 and to all that loved him 💜 I know a good game of Jeopardy is being played in heaven. God Bless Much

Please don’t ever say you weren’t smart enough. You maybe haven’t had the opportunities to learn varied subjects. Start small. Read about subjects you like. You CAN learn.

You can feel the love in his responses. It’s so sad rip Alex

I, too, love that Alex had a good last day. I'm very pleased he was surrounded by his family and that he knew throughout the whole process that he is loved not just by his family, but by the world. It helps us all, I think, to know he was at peace. My deepest condolences to his wife and children. I truly hope they find comfort and solace.

What a class act. A trooper. A lovely human being. What a wonderful life when not one person has a bad thing to say and there is only love. May we all be so lucky.

I always thought he could be condescending at times…but now I realize that he never meant any harm by it because he was such a class act 😇 R.IP Alex…Ae will all miss you very much 😢😥

The 29 dislikes here are from people absolutely without a heart. RIP Alex. You've earned your rest.

We will forever miss this wonderful man. He taught us what was important and worth fighting for. RIP your place in heaven is now filled with your loving spirit.

What a great man. My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and she would always watch him.. I think she was inspired by his battle with pancreatic cancer as well

My family and I watched Jeopardy every night and mostly to see Alex Trebek, Jeopardy will never be the same without him! My thoughts and prayers and condolences go out to everyone he left behind! Rest In Peace Alex Trebek 💔😢😭

I started crying when I heard the news. He was a gentleman. My family and I watched Jeopardy all the time. We love Alex. Rest in peace.

@dale gribble I think he would’ve had many years left if it weren’t for the cancer. He had several injuries before and always bounced back. He was a healthy man.

Jeopardy is our family’s favorite show. Unlike so many other viewing options, the show always felt fresh and challenging. Alex was always so dignified, witty, and it’s wonderful that his legacy will continue. To his family and friends, a nation joins you in celebration of his most precious life.

Loved Alex Trebek so much. Watched Jeopardy every night. A kind and gentle man with a very huge heart. My condolences to his beautiful wife Jean and his three lovely children. Will never ever forget Alex. Rest In Peace:

Makes me a bit teary eyed not only a great entertainer but a good Dad and hubby.

We had to know it was coming. He was getting older and was basically handed a death sentence. It's amazing he lasted as long as he did. And it doesn't take the sting or the shock away at all. Jeopardy will never be the same. If they're still having the show, I'm not watching, no disrespect to whoever is unlucky enough to be given the task of filling Alex's shoes. He's irreplaceable. Both Alex AND Regis Killbin... it's like my childhood just died.

Props to Alex trebek. American as they come and finishes the job. He is a national treasure that will truly be missed. It’s incredible what he went through til the very end and put on a solid hosting performance.

That first week of November last year must’ve been one hell of a fight with recovering from the surgery and still fighting the pancreatic cancer. No wonder taping dates later in the month suddenly got cancelled. I almost cried when I heard about what happened, but he will always be in our hearts.

Wow this amazing. Thank you for sharing your story. Alex was the only celebrity I ever cared for and loved. I tell people all the time I never watch tv only jeopardy and wheel of fortune. Grew up watching the show. God bless him!
