    Oh dear Alex, when someone loves you, helping you through the illness journey is never a burden to them. Every minute with a loved one is a gift. Remember the burden is that terrible cancer, never you.

    @@kkdoc7864 I trust thousands of years of proven cures, not 100 years of Rockefeller bought scam science. THE ROCKEFELLERS AND WESTERN MEDICINE... In the early 1900s, John D. Rockefeller bought part of the massive German pharmaceutical company, I.G. Farben. The same company that would later assist Hitler to implement his eugenics-based vision founded on racial supremacy, by manufacturing chemicals and poisons for war. Rockefeller wanted to eliminate the competitors of western medicine, so he submit a report to Congress in 1910. This report concluded that there were too many doctors and medical schools in America, and that all the natural healing modalities which had existed for thousands of years were unscientific quackery. It called for the standardization of medical education, whereby only the allopathic-based American Medical Association (AMA) be allowed to grant medical school licenses in the US. Allopathy became the standard mainstream modality, introducing the practice of synthetic drugs and the injection of toxic heavy metals like lead and mercury. Rockefeller offered huge grants to top American medical schools, under the guideline that only an allopathic-based curriculum be taught. He systematically removed any mention of the natural healing power of herbs and plants, or of the importance of diet to health. Once people had become dependent on this new system and the drugs it provided, the system switched into a paid program, creating lifelong customers for the Rockefellers. Currently, medical error is the third leading cause of death in the US.

  • @kkdoc7864

    @kkdoc7864

    3 жыл бұрын

    LifeisA Dream First of all, medical error is not the third leading cause of death in the US. It is lumped into “accidents” category which is about 6% of all deaths and includes all motor vehicle, workplace incidents, disasters like explosions and burns etc etc. Secondly, the study of Medicine as practiced at the turn of the 20th century needed revamping. There should always be a standard of care under the mantra of “First, Do No Harm”. Whether or not the change was instituted by capitalism or by folks like Lister, Halstead, Salk or other characters is important only because anti capitalists demonize profit. While I agree that we doctors use far too many meds, the use of “holistic” approaches is only frowned upon when sufficient studies are unavailable, and claims of cures are anecdotal as you mentioned in your comment. To prove a treatment works takes a lot of research. A good study requires fulfilling a number of criteria : it should be prospective, double-blind, have a very large population being tested with all interfering factors eliminated and have a p value of less than 0.05 Otherwise you cannot conclude that cannabis or anything else “works”. Those are the standards.

  • @LifeisA_Dream

    @LifeisA_Dream

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@kkdoc7864 Vaccines don't use double blind studies either. Bought and paid for studies are like the cops shooting someone and then deciding to "investigate themselves". Why is Cannabis still schedule 1? Because if it wasn't it would be really tested and then its game over for Big Pharma. I've seen first hand it save 2 friends of mine! That's not anecdotal, that's eye witnessing it work as soon as they started taking it. I bet you think its anecdotal when perfectly healthy babies turn sick or autistic or dead IMMEDIATELY after getting shot up with vaccines. Its called trusting your eyes and ears not fraudulent studies that have billions of dollars of incentives to lie. WAKE UP!

    @@jbohnoff I was really struck by how, as TJ points out, Alex really "buried the lead," to use the journalism term. The fact that he's actually doing well on his current course of treatment got very downplayed...maybe he's afraid of jinxing it? Or trying to preserve some privacy? In the articles that have been written recently, he sounded...not so optimistic anymore, and then this interview took a different tone. It struck me that not having the show to do anymore could also be making a difference towards his attitude toward continuing to fight. Yet, ironically, it's partly because of his condition that they had to suspend production. I love the way the fans supported that decision because protecting Alex is so important to them.

    Klingon Hustler It depends where the cancer started. If it’s in the tail of the pancreas, it is almost impossible to diagnose early because of very few symptoms. At the head of the pancreas, chances are symptoms will present if the bile or pancreatic ducts are blocked or affected by the tumor. So location is important.

Pancreatic cancer stage 4 is as serious as it gets and Alex has handled it with such goodness and courage. His existence is all that is needed to show that there is good in this world. God bless you Alex.

    I grew up watching Jeopardy for many years in the 1990s and 2000s. It was always a very informative program. I always knew Alex Trebek had a respectful tone with all guests on the program and he always appeared very humble. This interview verifies what I already knew about this very respectable man.

Not only was the show entertaining for him, I believe it helped improve his understanding of English and expanded his vocabularies. In my opinion, Jeopardy is the best game show on TV with the best host! 🥰

    You can tell as he is doing this interview that he is in severe pain. Immunotherapy sucks. It's very painful. I did 6 weeks and I couldn't take it anymore. I had determination to finish the 6th treatment . Since then, there are no other venues. My system won't survive radiation and chemo. The surgery is out of the question. I wouldn't survive the anesthesia. I will live until I die. Not looking forward to the end. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

    I was so blessed to interact with Alex on the TCM cruise a few years back while he was hosting a trivia contest for us patrons. He mentioned the Actor from Treasure of Sierra Madre " of course we all remember Alfonso Bedoya". I in my drunken stupor blurted out " who the hell remembers that guy?" Alex just stood in his classy judgmental stare and I slowly crawled across the floor to grovel at his feet. It got a great laugh, but I feel embarrassed that I was such an idiot. After the event he spent a long time meeting every person in the room. I love this man. God Bless you Alex.
