Who is this interviewer! A tribute to Alex deserved someone of a heightened caliber. Kudos to the interviewee for, seemingly, ignoring her inane use of the word, “Totally.” Loving thoughts and prayers for Alex’s family and a fond and loving farewell to our beloved Canadian, Alex Trebek. .

Alex Trebek was Jeopardy. The only show I watch religiously. My sympathies to his family, friends and all that loved this man. He will be sorely missed.

That's nice despite the sadness.

My mother and I watched Jeopardy together for many years. At her end, I went to the nursing home and watched on the tv in her room, she had no idea I was even there but I acted like it was "the good old days", talking to her, saying things like, "You knew that one, didn't you" and, "That Final Jeopardy was easy, wasn't it". Years later, I tried out for Jeopardy in the same group with David Madden. I got nowhere near qualifying. It's way harder than the show. Now she's hangin' with Alex. That's a cool thought.

I'm super annoyed with the interviewer continually saying "totally", it weakens the interview...but I appreciate the interviewee and his sharing of information about Alex. Condolences to his family, his work family, his friends and fans.

I forever will cringe at the word " totally" after hearing this interview.

OMG, if I hear "totally" one more time I am going to scream.

I was on my IPad when I clicked on KZread. As I scrolled down the pages, I came across the video with the message “Alex Trebek has died”. I was like “OMG! Not Alex Trebek! I can’t believe that he died.” But it was true. I’m just so sad that he is gone. Prayers go out to his wife and children. May he forever Rest In Peace. 🙏✝️🇨🇦

"Toatally"! LOL! She will probably never get to interview anyone again. Lets not be too hard on her , I'm sure she is just as embarrassed as we were annoyed that she said "totally "as often as she did. It was wildly inappropriate considering the topic. I'm glad her interviewee was so graceful and overlooked how obnoxious those responses were.

Because being professional is so yesterday it sounds like totally something old people would do. Unfortunately, it's a generation of lazy integrity. people doing interviews without enough common sense to educate themself first on the subject of the person your interviewing. It's called not learning anything as you go through life "lazy thinking" just get the job done and learn nothing from it this generation just want the money. There's no respect left in this world.

The use of "totally" is totally stupid.

I feel that Ken Jennings should be the next host of Jeopardy because he has proven himself at a time when Alex needed a friend and that the public should look at his success rather than the few mistakes that he has made

I agree with the comments that this interviewer was weak. Sounded like she was reading questions off a paper like a robot instead of actually being genuine with Mike who has lost the heart and soul of game shows. Anyway, RIP Alex. 🙏

This interviewer is driving me crazy. I think she needs a dictionary or thesaurus, she only seems to know one word: TOTALLY. 😝 (Jane)

Possibly, either an intern or a junior producer. That's often how these entertainment shows conduct a lot of their interviews, especially the remote ones like this. What you're seeing here is the raw video, and then they normally take just the person's replies and splice them into the broadcast story with voiceovers provided separately by the show anchors. So you never really hear the inexperienced staff interviewers voices unless you see the raw version like this.

The "totally" answer is because she is just asking questions no matter what his answer was. She wasn´t even paying any attention.

What a failed interviewer. Like, "TOATLLY". Pretty sure she would be taken aside by Alex and he would politely speak to her about her techniques. Can you imagine a valid adult conversation with her? RIP Alex. You were one in a million. A class act both on the show and your personal life.

She doesn’t have a vocabulary. Has only learned the word .”totally”

Or Brad could or even James could replacing they’re all three got the brains and then there was that Austin and there is buzz out of them five or six they could take turns because all of them is good enough that they could be the host but they’ll never be Alex there was only one Alex but these five that I name they can all be distinguished like Alex was

Totally - a word overused by a person untrained in broadcasting. Should have more words in the vocabulary.

Neil Degrasse Tyson or LeVar Burton would be good and fitting hosts to carry on the legacy that is “Jeopardy!”.
