I’ve heard - never verified - that APBT has been bred/blended into the small remaining stock to help establish a diverse genetic source for the breed. I wish that was not the case but the two are distantly related so it matters not. I like these. Keep in mind there was three (3) Alaunts: Veantre, Gentile and Boucherie. The Spanish were breeding the best Alaunts in the 14th century. These are descendants of (I assume) the Boucherie or “Bull Dog” - by working task.

Sorry, they are not. Though, presas had Alano ancestors, as the Canari Island was ruled by Spaniards for a long time.

@joaquincorzo2076 A deep baritone voice but can't hold a tune, kind of tone deaf, not a good singing dog although he does enjoy trying.
