If she was tempted to cheat this means she was thinking about it and one mistake from the husband will open the door for her to cheat! Now she knows that if only thinking of cheating will end her marriage hopefully she don’t allow the thought of betraying her marriage makes her act on it. I wish them all the best!!!

I say no one is the asshole, but I do think that OP rightfully exploded and threatened divorce. He was not in the wrong at all. Like he said, he busted his ass trying to take care of his family. And as a woman, aunt, and mother, children are not overbearingly difficult. Definitely nothing like construction. She was tempted by a man she barely knew. It doesn't matter how little he's gone, nothing justifies cheating.

Good to see a reasonable response in these comments. Too many people been brain broken by reddit cheating stories and want to go nuclear. Wife definitely does not fully appreciate 60-72 hours of hard labor a week though.

I would say most children are easy enough to raise (if you remove the financial part) but some genuinely are like being in a war zone. Not all kids are the same

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think this ended in a good way. The wife knew better than acting on some temporary attraction and even came clean to her partner instead of hiding it so that they could work on their relationship. While it wouldn't have made OP TA if he were to divorce her, I think he acted very maturely and gave their relationship a shot. Can't believe people are shaming his wife for having morals and knowing the difference between right and wrong. Being tempted to do something wrong is almost always involuntary. What's in your control is the choice to ignore the temptation and better yet, act against it.

She feels neglected? Why is it always a woman's feelings that are validated? She has definitely been neglecting him.

The wife is definitely the asshole and she needs to realize that everything she did was either hypocritical or an asshole move because there’s no way the situation could’ve changed if he took less time on his job they wouldn’t have been able to afford food and if she Took less time with the kid that would be child neglect, but I think the outcome that was reached is the best one, but damn she is so hypocritical with her, not wanting him to consider divorce but she’s allowed to considering cheating
