Thought that's the whole purpose of the aip diet to introduce slowly one by one your "regular" products after and see if you're "sensitive" for any of it, and if you are, then you are, and it's your choice if you continue to eat what your body doesn't tolerate.

That’s the point! I refer to it as our warning system. After decades on the standard American diet you can wear it out. Eliminate diets get it working again so you can better detect the foods that are screwing you up.

Also, why is it that people that are gluten intolerant here can go to Italy and eat ALL the pasta and bread they want. Same goes for islands like the Virgin Islands in Caribbean. France, Spain etc. North American foods are poisoned

Because of the type of GMO wheat that is produced in the USA. Food wasn’t bioengineers before and European countries are very strict with GMO, they’re banned in lots of countries

it is like when a woman is pregnant , suddenly the bad or too heavy, or unnecessary food becomes intolerable. Your body only craves certain food good for you and your child. I craved seafood , avocado and citrus. Could not eat the heavy saucy dishes and rice I usually loved.

So, should we eat AIP or not?

  • @ninanina8023

No. It's extremely restrictive and bad in a long term as he pointed out. Eat food you are tolerant, avoid most of grains, gluten off coursw, avoid added sugars, all added sugars, agave, maple syrup, coconut sugar, etc. Eat one avocado, handful of blueberries, half of pineapple and two carrots EVERY day! Green veggies as much as possible. Avoid skin and seeds of nightshades vegetables but eat them clean like that. In moderation.

I wasn't super hungry after I got used to it. I also made sure I had snacks available just in case, so I wouldn't just grab some chips or nuts or something not allowed. Ideally you will not be on AIP for a very long time.

Can we get past this? if our gut heals?

Exactly…I believe unless it’s a major allergy like an immediate anaphylaxis response that intolerances can be healed if the gut is healed, right??

@@-living4jesus4ever-yes If the gut is healed you can/should be able to tolerate most If you get like an immediate reaction then there is an allergy still for example I can’t eat nuts right now I’m gonna go on the diet and after I’ll try to see if I can handle them if not I’m fine with not eating them
