Great review, thank you, I prefer more "open" tone but it sounds great! 👍🏻

How about demoing the amp and cab with a band? That will give another dynamic to listen to and see if the combo can survive the mix.

Holy crap! Did the guy playing the blue jazz bass have it strung with the "1954" labella originals?! Sounded great but I tried putting those on my jazz and thought the neck was going to snap!

B Dubya I use those and the “Deep Talkin’” flats on my ‘63 Jazz Bass with low action and have no problem with too much string tension from either set. I think they have less tension than the Fender Flats, at least to my hands.

Is that a sealed 2x15 back there? I'd be keen to try one of those, i bet they would rock the house.

The frequency response on those cabinets has a predominant mid that colors the sound, not to good when using on a live gig,it tends to distort and confuse the natural tone.Too expensive for nothing,a cab of that price should offer real flat sound when the player wants it

there's so much more to "sound" than just the cabinet. The microphone, it's position and the room play a big role in what you get to hear at the recorded result.

Aguilar rates this to go down to 44HZ. I play a 5 string and my low B is 32 HZ-why make a bass cab that can't handle bass? A low E string is 41HZ so this cab is not even properly rated for a 4 string. The Neo speakers only have a 7 ounce magnets-for very little more they could have put I better Neos with 11 oz magnets that would handle much more power.

You certainly need Phil Jones Bass cabs. I have the PJB 12b, it's a 25Hz cab

It can handle it easily, and then some. Let me guess; Ampeg guy? Aguilar is more expensive, but for a good reason.
