I’m not a bass player but I can confirm that these products are sick. I’ve seen like a dozen bands, local and big, use this stuff and I’m consistently floored at how good their tone is.

With the band's you've heard, do the db751s how a good low end if needed. I've heard some people say it's a one truck pony with good mids.

Do me one favour before you bite the bullet play an open E note and listen for clarity or lack of for rock forget it, unless your a player who plays like a lead guitarist with many short notes. Even in the intro on this clip it lacks clarity, its wooly and abrasive

@@anthonyalgeri5469 16:08 Boonshoft pretty much says as much about the Tone Hammer series; it's designed to be as warm as they could make it, and it never quite cleans up, there's always a little edge to it. The AG series is a much cleaner sound, but IMO pretty boring, you can get that sound from any bass amp and half the PAs in the store.

Aguilar dont fuxk around with the signal path for sure! Very impressed by the seriousness and interest for doing something right in this video. Back in the day a handshake was a promise, and a promise was something you didnt break - Thats the vibe im getting from this video. It was like sitting with my grandpa and watching him behave the way he was, i have to play one of these some day because i truly admire companies that are true to the cause of making things as good as they can.

I laughed at the SVT in new York comments- I used to hail Checker Cabs with my 95 pound, 1969 SVT head, and 150 pound 'flatback' cabinet, at the curb! The cabinet would lay down where the jump seats were, and the head on the seat. Me next to it. Of course, that got real tired- and Checker cabs, became extinct soon after as well. I got an Ampeg B-410 combo after seeing Anthony Jackson using one. Then, a Sunn, and my final N.Y. gig amp was a GK 400 RB and various smaller cabinets. I left for out west 31 years ago I just used an Aguilar SL115 on a gig- nice piece of gear!

I think that guitar company you speak off initially developed and promoted the brand (poorly, in my opinion; the flagship store in my country only had Workingman combos, which is a huge shame), and then took the intellectual properities from SWR and applied them to their own Bassman Amps. I think..
