Aguilar DB112, David Nordschow DNA DNS-112, Bergantino HD112 Cabinet Shootout from Bass Club Chicago
Музыка
1x12 cabs have become all the rage with gigging bassists. Here at BCC we've got a bunch of excellent 1x12 cabinets n stock, but how do you know which 1x12 is right for you? Check out this informative, side-by-ide-by-side comparison of our three most popular 1x12 offerings, the Aguilar DB112, the David Nordschow DNS-112, and the Bergantino HD112. Each of these speaker cabinets offers munch and clarity with an extended low-frequency response as compared with 10" speakers, but each has its own particular tonal character that's particularly suited to a different playing style. Watch the video to understand the difference.

these are precisely the kind of reviews - side by side - that are very helpful. Kudos BCC
Great review!! Really useful to hear these cabs side by side like this. I use two db112s just now, great to hear the difference in cabs across manufacturers. More please ;-)
Starts playing at 2:45
Excellent review!!! Keep up the good work and keep 'em coming!
You make some enjoyable reviews man. Thank you.
I used to have a Gallien Krueger RB4000 1x15 combo and it was great. It did everythiing I wanted. It weighed about 75lbs and had more functionality than I needed so now I'm using a Tone hammer 350 in tandem with a Hartke HY 112 cab. Really a great combination at about half the weight of the GK
Great playing dude!
The Mesa Boogie 115 Walkabout Scout is a beast!
It would be great if you updated this review to include the new neodynium speakers (Aguilar SL series and Bergantino NXT series).
I have 2 aguilar db112 stacked paired with a aguilar ag500 amp and tbh i love this set up for the music i play the low mids and bottom end with snappy highs cuts perfectly through the mix and i get complimented alot for my tone couldnt go wrong my bass is heard everywhere i go
Should have known, sounded great. Thanks.
Man that Fodera is my dream bass
Also totally about to order a berg cn212 from these guys, free shipping!
I didnt expect to.... But I really like the DNA. Berg handles the highs really well. Aguilar handles the lows quite well but it's not as big sounding as the DNA.
The DNA sounds great! It looks like it's made in carpeted covering. Most of the higher end boutique cabs are made in something other than carpet these days!
Tone wise how does the Markbass NY121 compare to the three thats shown on he video?? Thank you!
Thank you for playing a P-Bass with a pick for this demo!!!!!

That's the TONE.
DNA all the way. I personally have the DNS-410...WOW!
Thanks for the excellent review. How did you have the tweeters set on the Agy and the Berg?
DNA !
DAT BERGANTINO!!
Great review ... and cabinets. 2 details : The review could be even better with the cabinets tested in the same order as in the presentation (I thought the 1st one tested was the DNA), and with a slight cut/pause between each test : unless you actually stare at the 2 black cabinets, you dont actually feel the transition ( Hey what do you want, bassplayers look mainly at the hands ...)
Great demo. What kind of bass is the 2nd one (not the jazz or p)?
The problem with a shootout like this is the way you are close miking the speaker you can't hear what the tweeter is doing. So you can't get an accurate comparison.
They all sound cool. Too bad Mesa PH 112 wasn't included. That's another great one.
Can definitely hear them Mids in the db.
The Aguilar seemed to punchy but that could be because it was louder than the other ones, but then when you played the DNA at 5:31 the DNA was louder, then the Bergman was even louder and more bassy. Hard to tell. But it seems like if I get the DNA it's a good move.
waiting for the stool to give way!
this might be a very stupid question, but what's that song he's playing on the Fodera?
I'd have to go with the DB-12. It's got the strongest midrange. The DSN is cleaner but not as warm while the Berg sounds a little nasal-y. I'm judging through iPad speakers.
The Bergantino “spoke” the best
What's the song at 3:30 ?
That is a Fodera Holly top NYC Jazz. Check our website if youre interested in more info
he never mentioned what manufacturer makes the driver for the DNA anyone know?
DNA Hands down !
You shoud have have played cabs more back to back
Should have used one bass for the demo but other than that i liked the DNA
Seriously i never seen so much talk about the weight of cabs than in the bass community, is there any particular reason?

Not hard to guess...almost everything traditionally has weighed more and that gets old. Newer amp heads are light, but typically your bass guitar and cabs weigh more, so you are looking to lighten the load when gigging.
DNA wins in all categories...
Am I the only one that didn't care for the Bergantino?

I agree with you, did not like the Bergantino
DNA wins. DNA vs Mark bass...
Nobody on KZread or google is brave enough to compare a Aguiar speaker or Amp to a Genzler. Be the first.
