    You know what thank you for this! I’m 38, a year ago I became a widow and I constantly worry about people judging me. Sometimes I refrain myself from wearing a pretty dress because in my head I think every one of my neighbors will judge me and I’m tired as hell of that feeling. I’m not going to wait until I’m 50 to not give a crap about what anybody says or think! 🙏 ☺️

    I’m 35 and I say don’t let anyone hold you back I say do wear whatever you want to as long as it makes you feel good. I spent most of my 20s nursing a broken back and I’m not letting anything stop me from doing what I feel like. I recommend the “life changing magic of not giving a f*ck” by Sarah Knight it helped me a lot with this (Warning she curses a lot) Wish you well 💜💜💜

    I love her! I’m 51 & it’s not that you stop caring, it’s just that once you reach 50, you realize that all the stupid sh*t you worried about in your 20’s, 30’s & 40’s really doesn’t matter. You realize what’s really important and you re-prioritize.

    @Sarah Marie you are absolutely right about women’s uterus as being a vessel for another life. There should be a class ( mandate even) for those who wants to have kids to take and pass with high marks before they can have kids. My parents have 9 kids but they are the best parents to me.

  • @thnkr0917

    @thnkr0917

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Sarah Marie Really, what Mom other than a comedian joking, really wants a whole lot of credit for giving birth? I don't know what circle YOU run in but everyone I know is a Mom and NO one really lists that as her first thing to be proud of, so much as being proud of her kids, so it's basically a non-issue that you used as an excuse to bash women....over a comedian who meant it as a friggin joke!! Anyway, Karen, I mean Sarah to answer your comment, I dunno if you have children, but pushing a baby's head out of your va-jay deserves credit whether a Mom asks for it or not. You do realize that a woman can die from childbirth even in the USA right? A woman risks her LIFE every time she gives birth, especially in less developed countries. No one would dare bash a service member because they may have to give their life for this country, but a Mom who may have to die to give birth shouldn't dare take credit for that!! People, btw, are also so anxious to take a woman's choice about a pregnancy away from her, but they are real quick to tell her that giving birth and choosing life is also not anything to be proud of. Of course, people who are also fantastic parents should get more and separate Kudos, but that is a whole different subject. Sarah, do you tell YOUR mother how little her giving birth to you means to you? You should tell your OWN mother how you don't appreciate her sacrifices so that you can exist. Shame on you. Also, we give men all kinds of father's day/dad credit for their sperm-donorship, no matter how involved they are and they never had to risk one bit of their health or 9 months of their lives or risk dying for that honor. Let's talk about the next 18 years, because we all know the odds are that Mom gets the lion's share of THAT whole job, no matter what the fathers claim, and no matter how many Karens judge her, less than perfect, performance as a mother. If you can't be supportive of other women, then at least keep your negative opinion to yourself. I'm super tired of women bashing other women! Mothering is hard and it's really pathetic for a WOMAN to be that way toward other women when we get enough of that from men. Your not a messenger, your a karen, complaining about a comedian by bashing other women because you were literally looking for something to complain about, so you just had to lay into, WHAT, women having pride in giving birth?! Geez.

I always felt like there was something wrong with me or that others would think there was because I never married or had kids. I wanted to but was horrible at relationships! When I hit 50, I felt suddenly free. People stopped asking me if I was married, and didn't ask me about children. I realized it was okay to be single And not have to feel embarrassed about it. I really don't care about a lot of things since the stroke I had 4 months ago and must do everything one handed, You had no knowledge of that fact about me, yet you chose to show your superiority by correcting my message. It must be difficult for you to find time to police everyone's messages and correct them. Karen's show was the first time I've belly laughed and enjoyed myself in these past months. Thank you for taking some of that joy away. I truly hope your 2021 is better than the 2020 you are obviously having to endure.

    No it isnt. Its not a superior talent to stand up that utilizes cussing and profanity. Stand up is stand up. In most cases, its not any more special. Observations tend to be skin level but i guess that's more on the person than the act. But in any case, dry comedy isn't a tier above profane comedy.

My wife and I still like each other and are great friends. With all that we have been through together, she and I have a united front on the we couldn’t care less what anybody thinks mentality. And our kids and grandkids know it. Which cuts down on foolishness a whole lot. This was a very funny and on point comedian. My wife and I laughed with the knowledge this pretty lady has.

It was then I realized......I have not "let myself go", but I just don't CARE what people think as much as how I feel.. Very liberating and freeing. Nice comedy set Karen! @@furthereast6775 She refers to her husband throughout the performance and also has her ring on:) You know, when you have a house full of children, a career, a home and property to maintain, family obligations, possibly active children in sports and things, maybe take care of elderly family members, have community obligations, and so on, let me tell you, you get exhausted. We have all of that going on and more in our household, and while our intentions to spend one on one time together are good, let's call it "date night," we rarely seem to get there at this current life stage. It doesn't mean we don't love each other, but instead that we are mature and selfless enough to understand that at this point in our life there are sacrifices for the family. So, quite often when we get a few minutes alone, we are happy to just take a nap together quick because we know that we will get our personal life back again after we have handled our obligations and finished raising our wonderful sons and making them well rounded successful and truly loved individuals. We know that we have the rest of our lives. Also, our older friends have reassured us that the second time around going through the dating stage is even better because you've weathered it all together and now your spouse is also your partner in crime(like playing practical jokes together on your children kinda crime) and best friend so to speak😉 So it's all good. Y'all take care now.

    @@furthereast6775 too bad your narrative is so myopic…to think someone can’t have a “love life” when they decide to drop the conditioning from society. Maybe examine where you get your thoughts (beliefs) about what constitutes the “right” set-up for a love life??? If it’s rigid standards of what “should” be, take a good, deep, analysis of who set those standards and when you took them on as your beliefs. Too often we believe things that are handed down to us (almost a program downloaded) without any consideration of if we are choosing that consciously or not!! Sounds like the lady from the comment, did all that! She analyzed why she was doing the autopilot things…for others. Maybe you can analyze the autopilot thoughts that determine what makes a woman love life worthy or not…. Your thoughts can create more suffering than almost anything, for your self and others. They can be changed!
