My grandmother came to live with me when she was 98...when her memory started getting bad She passed away this June ( 2020) at age 104. I miss her so much. We had the best time together...even on the "bad" days. 😊💕💕

I worked and took care of my grandma she had dementia as well. She got to stay in her home I just pretty much moved in with her. Mine passed away in 2017 miss that lady like crazy.

When I was moving to Newfoundland (island province) for school and asking a friend for advice on what I should take with me, she thoughtfully advised me that if I drove instead of flew I wouldn't have to worry about baggage limits. (And besides the fact that Newfoundland is an island I was in British Columbia at the time and I didn't have a license. Pacific coast to Atlantic island.)

I disagree. There's no such thing as "the right one." There are people who shouldn't and couldn't have a relationship with anyone, no matter how hard they try because eventually people see through the façade (their mask of approachability that hides a deep-seated selfishness and apathy). Then there's everyone else. It's like Bo Burnham once said, "if you want love then lower your expectations of it." No one is "meant" for anyone, people just choose to be with each other because they've decided that it's better to hold onto that opportunity for love, meaningful affection, and building something alongside each other than it is to waste the best years of your life waiting around for someone who probably doesn't exist. And imo that makes it more meaningful, and that's why love is beautiful, because it's a choice not some trite "destiny" or "fate."

Eventually you become who you date. So if you date a bad apple when they look like a good apple, without knowing the full story of the apple you eventually set yourself up for failure. My Grandmother grew up on a farm in rural PA. Church goer, loves angels and angel figurines, makes holiday sweets, crochets, does puzzles, end every letter with 'God bless'. Your stereotypical white grandmother. I told her I was taking chemistry, and her response as "Oh, good, then you can make a bomb" I did NOT see that coming.

Yeah, she's cool as hell! Good material, the delivery brings it home, and her mannerisms really add to the show. Great persona, too.

I love that comedy can be clean and yet hit so many areas of my life that I identify with. when you’re going through those moments you don’t think they’re funny but when you look back at them through her eyes, I can see why they are perfect comedy bits. She was hilarious and I could listen to her for hours.

Totally relate! “You’re not that old but you’re it that young......I biked downtown and took an Uber home......I’m active but I’m not that active......I think I can I think I can I think I can” omg....she was FANTASTIC!!! So hilarious and has great timing, tonality, personality, body language, inflection, and delivery!!! Excellent! She’s one of the best I’ve ever seen!!! Please more of her!

As a mid 30s Southern woman, she is spot on. Also, my mother is 79 and starting to show signs of dementia. The line about cozy being small is absolutely something I could hear her saying!

I felt so happy when she said she got married. I like her a lot. You could really see she was a good person. There are so many lessons for families and girls especially, in this stand up. Families and friends should always support girls/ladies and give them the confidence to take their time and get the person they want, instead of rushing into some nonsense because of family and peer pressure.

Not gonna lie I almost clicked off because the accent was a bit much for me at first. BUT I stuck around, got used to it and her cadence and I REALLY enjoyed what she brought. Her set came around full circle, she's very whitty, and she had mini sermons. Let's GOOOO!

Anyone can cuss and be vulgar but it takes true talent to be this funny with clean comedy. One of the best comedians I've seen. I was sad when it was over.

Truly funny! These days I hesitate to watch female comics because so much of their material is bitter and vitriolic, but this gal is breath of fresh air. She brings to mind Jeanne Robertson, but with a slightly spicy edge. And it's not just the accent, it's the humility. Not self loathing disguised as self deprecating humor, but genuine humility. I'm old enough to be JJ's mother, but I want to be like her when I grow up.

I loved Jeanne Robertson. She could tell a story about any situation and have you laughing.

Omg so funny and true!!! When 40 year old men are not creepy anymore! 😂😂😂 And yes it's weird to be attracted to the really young men too! I'm 42!

I know a number of southern Christian women who have tattoos and there is always a story of a disapproving family that come with them.

Courageous one pulling that "vanilla or chocolate cake" bit in this setting. And it seemed like it was well received, slow clap on that

I moved from Alaska to Tennessee & when a man asked how I drove thru the ocean to get here, I thought he was kidding. When I explained I drove thru Canada he was confused, guess he was thinking of the weather maps.

I've binged a few of these sets over the last few days, she is by far the BEST one!!!!🔥🔥😂

When she first started, I thought she was a little annoying then by the end I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. Wasn't prepared for all the southern jabs and bible jokes, being a southern preacher's daughter myself. Hit a little close to home, I even have an Aunt Jackie. Can't wait to watch this with my fiancé.

@@NatandGeorge Yeah no, we don't talk. Sadly she's not a 90 something awesome old lady, she's younger than me and we don't get along for more than a few minutes. My great grandmother and my aunt Ann are the crazy awesome ones.

Love her!!! Her set was sooo good!!!

Alaska and Hawai'i ARE next to each other -- you can go from one to the other without passing over any other state.

yeah I thought I wasn't that disconnected from college kids until I decided to drive for a Lyft for extra Christmas money the year before and driving around drunk college kids. I realized that at best I'm the Wise Aunt to them but most likely I'm the mom level in their eyes 😂 and that's weird cuz my kids are only in kindergarten. 😂😂

A friend just sent me some clips from Comedy Central acts. They were funny, but most were too crass, and one I had to stop. This kept me rolling from start to finish. Goes to show that she put a lot of work into this. I know "comedians are stupid" is a common bit, but hot dang, she's sharp as a tack. Look forward to being senile, lol. 😉

@@AngZok It's an expression of sympathy. It's just that it often (but not always) is used in the sense of feeling sorry for someone who was, apparently, dropped on their head repeatedly as a child. Sometimes it *is* used to express genuine sympathy for someone who is going through a tough situation through no fault of their own, though.

I love this gal! She's really sweet and very funny, and reminds me of my wonderful wife of 31 years. When you find the right person, marriage is fabulous.
